We've been to Sweet Aloha Ice Cream several times, and the ice cream has always been excellent. The service is consistently friendly, and I order the Dubai Sundae every single visit. It's absolutely delicious and keeps me coming back. The only downside is the atmosphere. The shop feels very outdated and cluttered, and it doesn't have the inviting, cozy vibe you'd expect from an ice cream shop. A refresh to the interior would make a huge difference. Overall, if you're looking for great ice cream and friendly service, it's worth a visit. Just don't expect much when it comes to the ambiance.

Been here twice so far and I'll keep coming back! I love their unique flavors! At my first visit, it was much busier but service was still good. Tried several samples until I saw they had a Dubai chocolate sundae, in which I ended up getting and it was pretty good. At my second visit, I came on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't so busy, there were 3 people behind the counter, but only 1 actually working. The other 2 didn't acknowledge me or even say "Thanks for your patience, she'll be with you shortly." But I understand it may be lack of customer service skills. When I was their age, I didn't really talk unless I was talked to lol. Turns out the other two kids were working behind the scenes preparing ice creams to film for social media. Also, they didn't have the sticky mango shake they were marketing on socials, so I'm going to assume it's only available on the weekends because the main girl working on our ice cream orders said she's working on that bad currently for tomorrow (Saturday). She didn't specify if it's only a weekend special. So I'm omitting a star for lack of communication, but the rest of the stars remain for yummy ice cream! This time, I got guava cheesecake and white macadamia -- a great combo! All in all, I'll still keep coming back to try their unique flavors. Maybe next time I'll get the 21+ flavors! FYI, it's a quaint, small place with limited parking in the plaza. If you go with friends, I recommend carpooling! And if you have a big family coming on the weekend, it's not a guarantee to get a table, nor is it a cute plaza to walk around with ice cream at hand. It truly is a grab and go situation with minimal seating.

BRAIN FREEZE... Sweet Aloha Ice Cream does have an extensive selection of creamy delicious ice cream which I enjoyed on my last visit but the Icee flavors are plentiful too. Tonight we had pizza next door at Mama Mia Pizza and were anticipating a sweet frozen Icee for dessert. They allow you to add three different flavors so my wife chose banana, strawberry and lychee for a wild tasting combo and loved it. We shared a small Icee for a decent $5.25 but the large Icee is massive and plenty for two humans to ravage. Chatted with the owner and discussed Ice Cream and Icee world domination.

If you're a fan of ube desserts, this place is a must-visit. The Ube Sundae and Ube Ice Cream Cone were absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. The scoops are generous too, these were one scoop each and it was more than enough. They also have comfortable seating both inside and outside, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a sweet treat. Great staff and service! :)

I opted for this which easily could've been shared between two people.

Five stars? How? Why? First off, the flavors! I only had regular ice cream but I can't wait to try their shave ice too. Dang. I had cookie butter, brownie, ube, and guava cheesecake in a flight for $12. No regrets. As a side note all five orders in my party ordered the cookie butter ice cream and then we brought a pint home for the couple hosting us, so.... Start there. Service was good. The ladies were helpful about prices and offering samples. I wish it was slightly bigger, as there's not a ton of seating, though they have a few tables outside, but on a slow weekday afternoon it was fine for our group. Check my photos for prices.

We read and we don't judge....especially when you are here one week after the yelp elite event (iykyk) as proof I did say I was going to come back for the Kona coffee chocolate chip ice cream and I did and I am so happy I did. Walking in I was greeted immediately and Mateo even remembered me from last week (not sure if that's a good thing lol) I got my husband a milkshake and of course he drank it in 5 seconds. Now let's talk about the Kona Coffee ice cream...*drum roll* 10/10 out of 10 out of 10. I have NEVER had coffee ice cream but this one seriously hits the spot. You feel like you are drinking the creamiest cup of iced coffee with the chocolate chip to help bring it to another level. Seriously this ice cream is top notch. My only complaint (but a good one to have) is the flavors do run out so next on my list is the s'mores ice cream and then try the shaved ice. All the staff is really friendly and I love the neon sign inside. I'm here again and if I'm there next week then pray for me friends we have a problem lol

Located in the Park Plaza along State Rd 84, Sweet Aloha Ice Cream is a family-owned shop offering: * Ice cream (cup/waffle cone or bowl) * Milkshakes/sherbet * Hawaiian shaved ice * Pints of ice cream flavors/cold Hawaiian beverages As much as I would've liked to try their ice cream, I was more interested in trying their Hawaiian shaved ice. A pleasant female employee went into an area where the shaved ice was made. She took a huge block of ice and placed it into a machine where it then got finely shaved, and filled a small cup. Afterwards the employee shaped the ice and pulled three bottles of syrup (blue coconut , pineapple, and tiger blood), pouring each over the ice then drizzling some condensed milk on top. It was refreshing and yummy. Definitely something to enjoy during the summer months and the price was reasonable. I look forward to coming back and trying their ice cream next. I saw they have rum raisin, which is my favorite. Mahalo!

I have been to this small ice cream shop several times. Everything is delish! It has a variety of flavors (and not your ordinary repertoire) and great shaved iced, too. Servers are very helpful and friendly, and you can have your treat there or take it with you. I now am addicted to the ube ice cream sundae. I crave it at least once a month! Prices are not cheap but well worth the quality, tasty product that you will receive.

These are the sweet treats you need in your life. Always a good choice for a delicious ice cream. The latest favorite for me is the rainbow cookie sundae. It's so hard to find rainbow cookies in Florida and this collaboration was insanely good. The most delicious ice cream I've had in a long time!

    Ubelicious Milkshake
    Joe D.

There's a reason it's considered one of the best ice cream spots in the area, if not country. I stopped in after finding it on Yelp. My interest was piqued when I saw they had an Ube Milkshake. I had to try it. It was well worth the trip. The milkshake, pictured, offers a subtle vanilla and nutty flavor profile. The ubelicious milkshake is made using their special house ube sauce. It definitely does the trick because this milkshake was a scrumptious delight. I wish I had ordered the large because the medium was gone in an instant. It was that good. The owner of the store Jimmy was behind the counter while I was ordering. He was great and told me a little more about the shake and the store. While the store may seem inconspicuous from the outside, its ice cream is top notch.

Back in a small retail area near SE 17th Street, this restaurant apparently opened in late 2019 and then had to close because of the pandemic. But it returned and now offers homemade food with terrific service. The place is small, seating about 30 in an at-home-at-the-dining-table style. Our server, who I think was an owner, was very friendly and even helped us choose a dish. We had to have lumpia, because it was one of the first Filipino foods we ever tried (decades ago). Although these were good, my friends' (shoutout to Analisa and Belinda) native eggrolls were much better. For our main entrees we had the adobosilog and the tapsilog. The adobo dish came with white rice topped with a fried egg, some shaved carrots, a couple of slices of cucumber and tomato. The adobo, though a tad salty, had a delicious soy-vinegar flavor and brought me back to the dish my pal Joe made for us a couple of times. The tapsilog was shaved beef that came with the same accompaniments but it was so salty that I had to mention it when the lady asked me how things tasted. She went and told the chef. (I did not complain about the adobo.) And he insisted that the price of the meal be removed from our bill. Ummm. OK. We splurged on dessert and shared the last piece of Ube (purple yam) cake (bought from an outside vendor) and a halo-halo. The cake was smooth and not too sweet. The halo-halo was shaved ice with ice cream, milk, and a variety of ingredients including beans, corn, and plain gelatin cubes. You have to mix it all up to get a good flavor. Hubby did not care for it because it was not sweet enough (yet he refused to add some condensed milk). It was my favorite dish of the entire meal. (I love cold, creamy, not-so-sweet desserts.) The portions don't match the price. While you get a humungous mound of rice, the meat is skimpy and entrees average about $20 each. And like most small places, there is a surcharge if you use a credit card instead of cash. Even with one meal removed, our bill was about $55 and would have been closer to $80. We do plan to go back and try some other dishes. Let's hope the salt content has lessened. (Remember chef: you can add salt but you can't remove it.)
