In all our years as locals this was the first time we visited. The ice cream selections are pretty basic. The mint chocolate chip hot fudge sundae I selected was delicious. We didn't try shaved ice. The owner/ice cream maker was very accommodating. The prices are lower than Jaxson's across the parking lot and are in line with other local places like Dairy Belle. Amazing ice cream!!!! The ice cream maker worked at Jaxsons for 40 years and his recipes are amazing. I had the $5 bowl of ice cream which includes two flavors. The cookies and cream tasted very fresh and had chunks of Oreos. The mint chip was made with large chocolate chunks and was delish. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and were served immediately. They offer samples! They also serve shaved Ices. This is a must place to visit, if you like quality ice cream. Stopped here today as I had an ice cream craving. When I saw this place first open I figured these people can't be for real ice cream this reasonable right next to the big dog Jaxson's with their long lines. Well at first I thought they were closed as I arrived a little after 11:30 AM on a Saturday morning. As I do my check in on Yelp, they surprisingly open. The guy says we open at noon but I am here so opened early for you! OMG who does that what a nice guy. Anyway I try to figure out a flavor and decide on a small cup mint chocolate chip. $5 even wow what a bargain so I get scared that homemade is not good. But it actually is the opposite cool refreshing plenty of mint flavor as well as lots of chocolate. I am hooked! Definitely will be back soon to try the shaved ices and all the flavors of ice creams. One of my new favorite spots for a icy treat! They have so many different flavors of syrup. Great spot for the kids. The best part is the ice is super soft. They also serve ice cream and get this folks... they serve adult snow cones with alcohol!!! My favorites include tigers blood, monkey juice and blue coconut. The Blue Hawaiian adult snow cone was very delicious and strong. The owner was very nice to talk to. I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did. This is located next to Grandpas restaurant and across the street from Jaxsons Ice cream Parlor. It used to be an old popcorn shop. I actually wasn't expecting this place to serve ice cream I thought only the shaved ice. I decided to try their Pecan Praline on the waffle cone and it was $5 reasonable priced. The ice cream was pretty good. Then I decided to return to try their shaved ice. I got two flavors: cherry and blueberry raspberry and that was very good and a big portion for $5 as well. I noticed that they also sell alcohol drinks like Pina Colada, Margarita and Daiquiri. They have a wide variety of ice cream selections and shaved ice. I think I will just return really for the shaved ice. The ice cream was good but their competitor is better to me. Now during the covid their inside is blocked off and they just have a take out window/door to place an order. They still have the two chairs out front if you wish to sit there. I love some good shaved ice so this definitely will be my good to spot.. Only reason why I deducted a star from their review is the first time I went here the lady who took my order was not very welcoming at all. When I placed my order with her it seem like I was bothering her at her job. The next day when I returned the guy was more friendlier. This place need improvement of their staff customer service. The place is great. The inside is closed of course because of the pandemic precaution but they usually put some big bright chairs outside of this place. Usually when I go there they are always available to sit on. But for the past 2 months every time I go there with my kids to eat some very nice ice scream, and all we want to sit on chairs and their are down (putted each on each and locked). Seriously??? Like we are grabbing the ice cream and wanted to enjoy it while seating on a chairs that you actually do have but no. Buy the ice cream and run home. Very very inconvenient! It's better go to the next one like Jax ice cream or Dairy Bell (at least they have a place to sit). But my kids love this place and the ice cream is pretty nice and delicious. Unlike Jaxons, the cotton candy ice cream here tastes like actual cotton candy, not just strawberry ice cream with sprinkles! (no shade Jaxons but yeah) 10/10. If you're a local you know exactly who I'm talking about. The ice cream here is good. But it does not hold a candle to its long loved neighbor. The price is right if you're looking for a cheap sugar fix but I don't see them having a line around the corner anytime soon. One unique thing about this place is that they serve alcoholic slushy drinks. However, they have to be consumed on premises. I was a little nervous because my husband eats a keto diet, so I wasn't sure if they would have something for him. We were pleasantly surprised that they were able to accommodate with several sugar free options, including the adult shaved ices. This is a nice place, very clean and aesthetic, pretty friendly staff too. Their shaved ice is awesome, I usually order it with cherry flavor, and vanilla ice cream at the bottom but it's fine treat all on it's own. The ice cream itself is amazing though, some of the best that ive ever tasted which in turn makes awesome shakes as well, which hopefully I'll branch out and try the multiple flavors and specialties they have!
