We went in for a haircut for our 3 year old toddler and it was a disaster. The specialist wanted me and my wife to hold the child while she cuts her hair ! And kept blaming the toddler for her shoddy work. Mind you we have had her hair cut several times (at other salons ) and not once has anyone asked the parents to hold the child steady - and that too by having her stand on the chair ! And then she didn't know how to braid her hair so left without telling us . Only after 15 mins did the owner come to us and say that she will do the braiding as the specialist didn't know how to. I simply cannot recommend this place - we certainly aren't going back. They're probably okay for older kids but for toddlers ; not at all read more

I came here with my 5 year old daughter for ear piercing and she had a great experience. We made an appointment prior to coming and my daughter was seen right away. They put dots on her ears to make sure it was aligned. Thankfully they had two ladies do the ear piercing at the same time because i was nervous my daughter was going to freak out. My daughter didn't even cry and they gave her a cute certificate afterwards with her picture on it. My princess recently had the pleasure of attending a party at this venue. She had a blast! The party was for her BFF, and they got the Rock n Roll package, I believe. The girls all had a blast getting their hair, and nails done. They each got to pick a specific hair style, and their nails were also painted. They were also all wearing matching "Glam" dresses. After they got beautiful they all danced, and strutted down the runway. I'd definitely recommend taking any child that is interested in 'Glamming' it up to this establishment. read more

Talk about an affordable and fun spa day for your princess! I have been to "Glitter and Glam" at Paramus Park mall and this place is 100000000 x better. A few of the reviews I read for this place I actually was laughing at. You really think your little kid is getting some 14 carat gold facial? Or you wanted them to have their feet soaked for 20-30 min like an adult? They are children... calm down. They have the cutest area when you walk in filled with everything a little girl could want. Sparkles, stuffed animals, jewelry and more. You go to the back and there are multiple foot soaking tubs so the girls can chat and get pedicures. While my daughter and her friends got their pedicures another group was in the back doing a princess dance party and it looked amazing. This place has actual licensed stylists and nail techs who know how to do cute nails designs and amazing hair styles and braids. We did the "Head to toe princess package" which for the girls each a pedicure, manicure w nail design and hair styled/braided. There was like 20 different braids they could choose from! Then they spray it with glitter spray which the girls adored. The girl who did all 4 girls hair and nails for us was Beiki. She was soooo patient, so fast and we never once felt rushed by her. She was kind and fun! She did a wonderful job on all the girls. This place is way more affordable than Glitter and Glam and they offer tons of different things from birthday celebrations like ours, to "LOL doll surprise makeovers" or "Princess makeover" the girls had so much fun and it was worth every penny. read more

I brought my daughter here for her first haircut when she turned one, and we had a good experience. However, we came back a year later for her second haircut, and I am so incredibly disappointed. First, they took someone else before us because we were 5 minutes late, which meant that we had to wait 30 minutes. When we finally got to sit our daughter down, the first comment the hairdresser made was "it seems everyone's late today", smelling like cigarettes, with some underlying attitude. She asked what we wanted to do, and we told her that we wanted bangs but before I could even finish, she cut me off and said that bangs wouldn't shape her face correctly (which I'm sure was an excuse for not wanting to spend more time on the haircut). So, she convinced us to just do a simple trim with layered bangs in the front, to which we agreed. However, with the first cut of the scissors, she cut off SIX INCHES OF HAIR. She then proceeded to give my daughter a bob cut, with her back hair down to an inch long. My daughter went from having beautiful long hair, to a tragic bob cut that we can't style at all. We can no longer put her hair in a ponytail or bun, which she looks so cute in and has become her "iconic" look. Not to mention, the haircut is very poor and super choppy. It's uneven and shorter on one side. Now we will have to wait months until it can grow to a length where we can style it once again. Seriously, stay away if you're looking for a haircut for your child. I can't say anything about their other services, but I know haircuts should be avoided. read more

DO NOT go to the ridgewood location for color braids. The braids are terrible, they were loose and ratty at the ends. They do not add more color while they are braiding. It is a waste of time and money, quality and experience just awful. The braids do not last, they will be loose and coming undone as you are walking out the door. I brought my 3 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced. I was very pleased with the experience. They do both ears at the same time which is fantastic. They're very calm in their approach. They allowed my daughter to sit on my lap to make her feel comfortable. They were super quick. It has been about a week since we went and her ears are healing perfectly. No redness. No discomfort. The reviews i had read had to do with the earrings falling out but considering my daughter is a toddler, that could happen no matter who did the piercing. Beware coming here for piercing. Came for my 2.5 year old to get her ear pierced. Within 3 weeks on separate occasions the earrings came off in her sleep. When i called, i didn't even get an apology. The earrings they used I'm sure were faulty as i never heard these earrings ever come out on their own. Booked a diva package for my daughter and niece. We arrived a few minutes late but they were still accommodating and also have massive amounts of parking on the property. The location is very spacious and pretty, perfect for a little girls dream day. My daughter had her first haircut and my niece just got a trim and a style. They tell you you'll be able to pick a updo pictured on their board about 7-12 styles possibly. What they don't mention is not al the hairstylists can do these styles. My niece winded up having a great updo while my daughter came out like a frizz ball, she is a Latina so not sure if they just aren't versed in her hair texture or maybe the stylists was having an off day.My nieces hair came out beautiful the braid was tight and done with sparkles she loved it. The mani and pedi were adorable and perfectly suited for a child along with an adorable robe. I would definitely come back again and just hope for a better hair experience, the stylist was not rude or mean just didn't have braiding experience other than this I will bring my daughter back. read more

They let my 4 year old daughter leave the premises with A STRANGER. They had us sign a release, list pick up persons, say to prepare to show driver's license for pickup - all for no reason. Luckily I was 10 minutes early and caught a glimpse of my daughters coat running into the candy store next door. I initially thought they had my daughter, and another child mistakenly took her coat. Once I realized what happened I rushed over to the candy shop and THANK GOODNESS my daughter was still in there, albeit with a strange lady and her two kids. She obviously got confused and left in the confusion, thinking it was part of the plan. I went back to let the staff know they let my daughter leave without her mother. The young girls on staff seemed appropriately horrified, but the lady (presumably owner?) simply smiled and asked my daughter how old she was (4- why does it matter?) then asked her why she left without her mommy since they told all the little girls to wait for their parents. I said she cannot seriously be trying to blame the child and they should NOT have let her leave! How can they call themselves a place for children when they endanger them? My daughter was crying and confused so we left. But we got zero apologies. There was no accountability. Just THANK GOODNESS nothing happened to her and I found her in time. EVERY PARENTS WORST NIGHTMARE! I am sufficiently traumatized and can never go back to this place. No experience is worth almost losing your kid over. read more

I brought my son and daughter here for haircuts last week. We had appointments scheduled and arrived on time and still had to wait over 20 minutes to get a haircut, which was difficult with young kids. Then the internet and TVs werent working to distract my 1 year old so I had to hold him for half of the haircut to keep his head straight. The stylist, Souzan, was apologetic, which I appreciated, but his haircut is uneven in the back now. He's had 3 haircuts previously and this was never an issue. We were even told with previous cuts that he was exceptionally calm for a baby to have a haircut. My 4 year old with stick straight, easy to cut hair, also had an appointment. She was taken by Saima (who did a makeover for my girls a few weeks ago and did an AWESOME job). Saima and another stylist were (very unprofessionally) arguing in front of me about who was cutting my daughters hair. She made her cute braids and my daughter was happy. Unfortunately, when we removed the braids the next day, her hair was COMPLETELY uneven. There are chunks of hair that were not even cut and the cut is like a diagonal line in the back. I was trying to concentrate between the two kids for haircuts because there was no safe chair for my 1 year old to sit in so I couldn't check my daughters haircut before Saima quickly did her updo as she was rushed because others were waiting as well. But regardless, the stylist should have checked herself to see that the cut was even before styling it. It's an extremely obvious bad cut. This was a HORRENDOUS experience. I will never go back for a haircut. I will be calling to complain as well but not sure I even want to go back for them to fix my daughter's hair out of fear of them chopping more off unevenly. Stay away for haircuts. Should just be used as a spa. read more

I brought my daughter here yesterday for a haircut and had a bad experience. My daughter couldn't sit on the chair properly and the hair stylist made my daughter stand up for a haircut. She never had that experience where she would stand up for a haircut. I asked her can she sit back down because she was getting tired and she said no we are almost done. I will never come back here. It was uncomfortable for my daughter. I wanted her to have a good experience but beware if your child does end up moving she will make them stand . The hair stylist said ohh I have patience with the children. Well if you do have patience then you should of waited till my daughter can sit in the chair and make her feel comfortable. Also my appointment was at 2:15 and she ended cutting the hair at 2:35. There was also a problem when I told her I wanted another inch cut linger because I still felt like her hair was long . She also made me hold my daughters head when she was cutting her hair which I never did when I took her for a haircut! All the kids were sitting except for her. Do not come here, I wasn't happy at all. Doesn't look like the hair stylist is experienced because every time I bring my daughter to a salon she never stands up! This hair stylist needed training on how to make kids comfortable. read more

Very accommodating for a last minute appointment for mani-pedis and haircuts for two kids. The nail technician was very patient and kind. The kids were given a ring and toe ring and able to pick a nail design on two nails. Rania, who cut their hair, was wonderful with the kids and did a great job. My daughter loves this place so much and we plan on returning! At first, my daughter was nervous as there was a private party of 10 year old girls in the next room that were noisy, but Souzan was great with making her comfortable. We got the Diva for a Day package and it was a great deal including a haircut, braid, sparkle dusting, mini mani and pedi, facial and make up. The staff was so friendly and professional. The kids had an OK time. It seemed a bit rushed....after pedicure they had the kids walk on dirty floors and had to ask for the paper slippers and was met with more concern that the kids might slip in them... Why have them? For the cost of the package get ones more appropriate for kids... It is a kids place. Mentioned disappointment in facial... Just a few spots in the face done and left to dry and had to scrub delicate skin to get it off.... Faces left red and staff when told of experience didn't seem concerned just that they would mention it to the manager. The attention to detail was just not there.... Have gone to seriously spoiled in long Island and they did an amazing job making the kids feel like it was all about them and making the perfect experience for them. So disappointed in the service here. I came on a day when it was empty, and the experience was cute. My 7 year old had a nice time, and we were excited to book a rez for their holiday party. Both girls I brought sat on a chair for 30 min of the 2 hours without a thing to do, and no interaction with the staff. I complained to 5 different (young) people, none of which did a thing until a lovely older woman (not the owner) recognized how inexcusable it was. $80--such a waste. I heard so many great things about this place so I took my infant daughter for her ear piercing here. Now I know why everyone raves about this place. They measured multiple times my child's ears before piercing so that it can be precise. They had a lot of patients and were extremely professional. I even received a cute certificate!!!! Poor experience. I see the other reviews about Ada Lombardo but for us she was terrible. Our daughter who is two had her first haircut experience here and Ada was her stylist. Our toddler was understandably a little nervous and was a little apprehensive about a stranger playing with her hair. Our daughter is a good judge of character and usually vibes well with friendly approachable people. Ada was none of those things. She had a sour angry face the entire time, threw on an Elmo video and would flatly say "haha look at Elmo" in the most "I hate my life" kind of voice, and rushed through the entire appointment. And every time Ada would leave the station, I caught her rolling her eyes and shaking her head. Miserable experience, take your business elsewhere. Not sure how this woman works with kids.
