Ok so I've taken my daughter here twice..... first time was awesome. It was a big place.... Pedicure chairs with big fancy bowls/sinks....manicure stations.... A runway... tons of photo ops. She loved it! Just went back today and they changed locations. They are now in a store probably 1/4 of the size. 2 manicure tables... 4 pedicure chairs with foot rests only (they bring a bucket of water out for a "pedicure" but it's really just dipping their toes in a bucket of colored water). No runway and 1 little area to take a picture. Very underwhelming compared to the first location. I know the rent is probably astronomical in the mall..... but I had ZERO idea they had changed locations and the experience all together. Will not be back. read more

Parents beware! We allowed our daughter to attend a birthday party at Glitter & Glam only to have badly injured. She was not properly supervised and was exposed to a dangerous condition which directly led to her injury. Instead of enjoying herself at the party, she ended up in the emergency room. The manager was only interested in us completely a written incident report and did nothing for our daughter. Later we learned that Glitter & Glam did NOT have insurance to cover our medical bills and instead have they claimed that they are not responsible for any of our damages. Wish they had one of these locations when I was little! Glad I am able to this with my little one! Due to the pandemic, reservations are required/recommended. I was able to book for a Saturday afternoon a few days prior. Masks are required and enforced. Everyone had them on. You'll find plexiglass between the nail techs/beauticians and customers. Our tech was Mariah. She was awesome! Her demeanor was professional and child friendly. My child truly enjoyed her as Mariah gave her the best first nail experience. Thanks Mariah!! Pricing was very reasonable. For $50 I got the mini mani and pedi plus the use of a robe. The robe gave us a spa feel. Included was the use of scented lotion, chocolate smell was superb, a kid ring of choice, flip flops for an addition fee in those $50. Concluding this package was the ability to wear a dress from a desired princess and got to walk a runway wearing the dress and listening to that princess's song. How cool!! As we arrived we saw a party going on. Totally adding this to an upcoming birthday party choice. By the way, the nail polish lasted! I'll definitely be back soon enough. read more

Don't waste your money at this particular location. The manager and staff are very disorganized. The party did not flow well at all. Some girls waiting long for services and had no time for the dance party (when complained manager said they were late which they were not late these particular two kids). One child was not served cake (I can see this being an oversight but when combined with everything else it just adds to the frustration). I paid for a party for 1 hour and 40 minutes long. After 1 hour staff were handing out the goody bags trying to move us along out the door. I said something and she asked the manager and told us we had another 40 minutes. 20 minutes later another staff member tried getting us to leave then. It was really ran awful. Thankfully my daughter did not notice. The best part was the character, Cinderella. She was very kind to all the children, unlike most the staff who seemed to not want to be there. Under new management this place would be downright MAGICAL. How it is managed now is awful, do not waste your money! Another mom there with her daughter is planning to have her daughters party there and with me not even mentioning all I witnessed she said to me, I am going to see if I can book elsewhere, they seemed very disorganized. I did my best to keep it quiet and smile for my guests but it was that obvious. The manager spent more time on her phone then managing her staff. Oh and lastly, the company sent an auto email to me to fill out a survey. I tried numerous times to fill it out and it just freezes. How convenient. Like I had said, the best part was Cinderella, she was so kind. I will attach a picture of her. I should attach the numerous pictures of the one child at the table who was never served cake. I wish I had noticed myself but I did not until reviewing the pictures. I will not attach those photos for privacy reasons with having children in them. Anyways, you have been warned! I hosted my daughter's 6 birthday here yesterday afternoon. I have been torn on how many stars to give because I was very disappointed however my daughter had a blast and loved her party. I was disappointed because I felt the party was very disorganized, rushed, and there were a few things I wasn't expected because I made the mistake of booking a place without seeing it in person. My daughter had 10 girls in her party and everyone had their nails, toes, a makeup, and hair done. All the girls loved this part however everyone was getting stuff done at different times as opposed to being split up into 4 groups (based on the 4 categories) and rotating. This would have been a better idea because I felt like the whole first hour of the party, my daughter didn't really get to interact or talk with her friends. I was also a little upset because they waited to do my daughters make up last resulting in her missing the dance party part of the party while her friends did it. I wish someone would have stopped me and gave me a heads up on the schedule of how things would go throughout the party but no one ever did. After dance party, they did a quick fashion show as the next party was arriving. There was also a party finishing up when we arrived. I'm not sure how they can book parties back to back like that without allowing at least 5-10 min in between to sanitize everything, especially with Covid still being a thing. No masks were enforced on guests, but staff wore them. Finally we got to the party room which was SMALL. Here's the part where I really should not have booked a place without seeing it first. This part was very rushed too and the kids had exactly 15 mins to scarf down their pizza and eat their cake. At one point one of the girls asked me, which of your guests want cake? Ummmmm? No idea! You should ask them lol. I throw my daughter a big party every year and out of all of her parties, this one was my least favorite. After purchasing an all-inclusive spa package Groupon, I took my goddaughter to Glitter & Glam to celebrate her 7th birthday last week. She said it was "theeeeee BEST day ever." When she was done, I asked her to choose her favorite part of the experience and she couldn't. A total godmother win :) She was serviced by JoJo, who made the whole experience, from start to finish, magical. The atmosphere/place/location: this place gets 5 stars for atmosphere and aesthetic decor! Absolutely beautiful for little girls. My niece and daughter felt like royalty with the crystal chandeliers, pink tufted high throne chairs, and pink fluffy robes. The place is clean and there is no smell of string chemicals like most nail salons. The music is fun and appropriate for the age group of girls. The staff: this is where the place loses points. They get 1 star for customer service. In a customer oriented business they fail to make the customer feel valued. I was charged 10 dollars extra for having my niece accompany my daughter for a same time appointment. The reason was that my brother who lives in NY purchased a groupon and I purchased one for my daughter separately- they would not honor his Groupon and made me pay the difference in order to have the girls sit together. Furthermore, only one spa specialist catered to both girls thus we had to wait for one girl to have services completed while the other waited with her feet in water (pruning). Unacceptable! The staff was disengaged and I felt we received mediocre service. The actual mani and pedi: the service is ok. I would give them 3 stars. The girls were thrilled with their service and results but then again they are 6 years old and 9 years old- they're happy with glittered nails and don't know the difference from simply painted nails and a thorough pedicure. For the age group the service was appropriate, nothing over the top. Overall: your really paying for a magical experience for little girls. If you can bare the subpar customer service your girls will have a phenomenal time. read more

I got a gift card from my husband for a Mommy and Me and it was so disappointing. Nicolette who did my daughter's nails did a good job. The supervisor who did my nails who was an older woman was nice but did not know how to paint nails. My nails are half painted but I didn't say anything because this was for my daughter. When I paid she asked if I would be leaving gratuity and I said yes but didn't have cash so asked if there was an atm close by. She said no so I said I would be back later. About an hour later I got a call and voicemail asking if I was coming to give a tip. I was busy running errands and an hour after that received another call from a different number and it was the supervisor asking if I was coming. I explained that this was very rude and unprofessional and she said that she is told to do this. I went to give the tip and the manager actually came to talk to me and said that she was sorry, that it was unprofessional and wasn't aware that the staff was doing this. I thought that was interesting because the supervisor told me she's told to do this. Don't waste your time or money. I do better nails, hair and makeup than these unprofessionals who harass you for a tip. read more

What a great place for kids to have a special day and teach them about self care. I was spending the day with my 4 year old grand daughter and just walked past Glitter and Glam to check it out and show her the salon. She was instantly in awe! Everything is decorated in pink and set up like the Interior of a castle. She looked around and said "Nana this is the coolest place ever!" And she's a hard sell!! She agreed right away to the mani and pedi (her first) and began to receive the special pampering she had never experienced before. She got to wear their glitter and glam pink robe and choose the color of the water for her pedi which of course was pink. All of the staff were young ladies who were great, patient and kind. I watched as another little girl was getting the royal treatment as well and taking pictures on their stage with a tiara and princess dress after her services including her hair, were completed. Jaylyn was great with my grand daughter and made her feel very special during her mani, pedi and even simple facial. They really made her feel like a princess that day and as though she was inside a real castle. From the special pink luxurious chairs to the table setting for parties to the chandeliers, this place is unique and so much fun to give a child a special day. I purchased a Groupon for a mani/pedi and I'm annoyed that I even spent the money on that considering my daughter's "manicure" lasted only about 4 hours. The place is cute, but messy due to the big bday party they had going on. They gave her a robe, but no slippers because she was wearing flip flops. No complaints with the pedi bc she's 4 and what could they really do to baby feet. However, they lotioned up her hands and then polished them on top of lotion. I have to believe that this is what caused ALL the polish to come off in whole pieces 4 hours later. It literally looks like she was wearing little fake nails that just came right off in a whole piece. Thank god I didn't pay full price bc I would have been livid. BE AWARE. My experience at Glitter and Glam at the Palisade Mall was horrible. My appointment was booked for 3pm for my daughters birthday and I was bringing 5 girls in total. When I get there, there's NO HEAT and another party was taking place and the decorations that I paid for weren't displayed. I was told the party taking place started late because they arrived 30mins late, and they could start my party. I was still waiting for the rest of the girls to arrive. We told the young inexperience manager that we will wait for the other party to finish because I paid for a 3 o'clock appointment with my decorations to be displayed. We waited outside and the manager comes outside with her boss on the phone. The boss ask us if we wanted to come to Paramus, NJ - we said NO. The manager did give us a discount but the damage was already done. Our party didn't start till 4pm. The service was okay- it was so cold the staff did minimum work and the manager wanted nothing to do with us. When I booked my appointment the manager never told us multiple parties could be taking place-no contract was ever presented to explain any terms or conditions. I will never go back. read more

This place is a cute idea. I brought my daughter here twice. They have different packages you can purchase and they are not cheap. The girls get a robe and slippers to wear during their spa time. Each time we went my daughter got a mani pedi facial and make up. This place would be incredible if they actually received those services. People need to realize that it's all a show. They run the water and they stick their feet in the bath then rub lotion on. Then they quickly "file" the nails. Each time my daughter got polish it came off in 3 hours. They're not really using quality products. You're not really paying for the end result. You're paying for the experience. Loved the atmosphere, I was like a little girl ecstatic with all the pink glam. The atmosphere get a 4 stars only because , with the amount of use they put to the location when you look closely the furniture is missing handles and you spot the wear & tear. But of course for lil girls this place is amazing & magical. The staff could use some pep in their step they seemed to be working like robots. I did see one staff member engaged with the lil customer in convo while she painted her nails asking her what her favorite subject was, her favorite ice-cream etc. the two we had were stiff. Maybe nervous but I doubt it. The girls seemed very happy regardless of what an adult can see. My friend had been missing one lil girl who was not going to make it. When she told the manager , the manager explained she could not refund her the missing child but could give her a certificate for a future mani. Ok that was nice. I'm not sure if gratuity is included but upon exiting my friend paid her balance including some cheap flip flops they fail to tell you to bring in order to sell you their cheap ones.. they broke as we left. The manager asked her for a certain amount for a tip. When a sign on the counter says tips are appreciated . When my friend did not give her what she requested as the tip. She refused to give her the certificate claiming my friends purchase was not a party so she couldn't grant her one. First of all that was your offer and you cannot retract your offer, you knew her group was not a party but a group purchase. Quite frankly this was very distasteful. Tips are earned and if it was based on that your girls would have received less the tip that was given. Word of advice your staff needs to be more friendly & engaging for the environment they are working in. Maybe they were overworked if that's the case sorry but speak up. Quality is more important than quantity. read more
