This is the most amazing yin class I've ever taken - true self care and almost indulgent. Chanelle is a fantastic instructor.

If you're looking for something special (one that will keep you coming back), I highly recommend trying a workshop or class at Ahhh Sweet Balance. It's a studio like no other (and that's a good thing)! Chanelle incorporates different modalities into the practices she shares, and each class is different from the last. Never repetitive, always unique. She has a gift of combining both the mind and body experience for each class, expanding our practice beyond the norm. I always leave feeling SO much better than when I came in. I have never been disappointed. All levels welcome (really - there is NO comparison to other places); adjustments are made and suggested. I do not feel I have to be anything other than myself and go at my own pace. read more

Great studio for gentle yoga and yin yoga! Owners Chanelle and Sandra are warm and welcoming. The studio is super clean and organized. Classes are comfortable and not overly full. I love that they come around and offer adjustments and modifications that are helpful. Sometimes parking can be tricky just allow extra time to hunt for a spot. read more

I absolutely love Ahhh Sweet Balance! I wasn't doing any regular exercise and a friend asked me if I'd try a class with her last October. The two week new client package was a great deal and now I do monthly unlimited classes. I look forward to going and every instructor is wonderful. The workshops and special event offerings are great too. Chanelle and Sandra have a wonderful studio and are very supportive and motivating by cheering you on to challenge yourself. I highly recommend Ahhh Sweet Balance and in all honesty I try to go no less than 3 times weekly and if that darned thing called work didn't get in my way I'd go much more. read more

I'm not sure I will be able to effectively articulate how much I love this place without seeming crazy. To say that this studio is my happy place is an understatement. Chanelle and Sandra are my absolute girl crushes and role models even though I only just met them 9 months ago. The studio is aesthetically pleasing with twinkling lights, tasteful colors, and an adorably decorated check in area. The vibe you get upon walking in (for the first time or the fiftieth time) is nothing short of genuine warmth and positivity. Some classes, like Balanced Body, are physically and mentally challenging but all of the instructors are encouraging and easy to follow. Other classes, like Gentle Yin Yoga Stretch, are just pure yumminess...you might as well be getting a massage. Being at that studio is always good for my mind, body, and soul. Chanelle is awesome. I love her style and her yoga is among my favorites. I've been following her yin for over a year and recently branched out to other classes at her new studio which is lovely. My favorite combo is Saturday mornings. I can burn some calories in strength and surrender and then get all zen in gentle stretch. Chanelle also has workshops on meditation, essential oils, pain relief, etc. and she has plans to add more exciting things like a book club and virtual classes! She is very passionate and interested in the wellbeing of her clients. I'm sure the other instructors at the studio are great as well. Also there is a spa too which I need to check out!!! read more

I love this place! Chanelle and Sandra have a great thing going. I never saw myself ever trying yoga. However, after suffering several injuries over the past 2 years from running, I figured I would give it a try. I prefer the slower paced stretching type classes to prevent injuries. All of the staff there are fantastic! I would highly recommend them. read more

Do it with me: deep breath and then Ommmmmmmm I have been following Chanelle's Yin Yoga workshops held at different studios around the north shore since the beginning of 2015. Then the best news ever... she opened her own studio in Wakefield. It was after my first visit to one of her workshops that...bam... I became in instant devotee! Yin yoga is just what I need, I have a bad lower back that twinges, sometime goes into spasms, and makes it hard to stand up straight right away in the morning. I have been to a physical therapist but it did very little for me to put it kindly. The medication I was prescribe was nice, but it didn't do a lot for me long term. I was given a list of stretches to do at home, but meh, it's just hard to understand if you are doing them right without guidance, not to mention finding the motivation. Since I began Chanelle's Yin, I have noticeably improved my back; seriously I was always aware of my back discomfort and kind of guarding it. Now I'm not aware of my back, I don't really think about it, except to know that I must continue my sessions of yin. Because they have become more than stretching or physical therapy, they are a huge part of my wellness altogether. Time for me, self-care, meditation and on and on. I still plan to occasionally follow the travelling yin yoga around the north shore but I am loving the Main St. location. I just can't say enough about how truly wonderful these classes have been for me both inside and out! Now put your hands together at hearts center, bow and ... Namaste! read more

I have taken a variety of classes with the different instructors and have challenged myself. Every instructor that I have had, has been outstanding. The classes are challenging but the instructors take everyone's individual needs into account. Classes seem to fly because there is such a variety in every class. I'm so happy that I found Ahhh Sweet Balance and I'm glad that they found me. I'm such a big fan of the classes and the wonderful instructors that I have in the classes. read more

I honestly can't say enough good things about this studio. I started coming here to get in shape for my wedding and I decided on yoga because I am injury prone to high impact work outs. Not to mention I hate the gym and working out in general. I chose this studio because of the great reviews, different class variety and the 5:00 classes are perfect for me to come here straight from work. I had no idea what a treat I was in for! I started off with the new student special. I think it is $60 for unlimited classes for the first month and I got to try all the different classes they had to offer. There is Balanced Body, (my favorite) a Pilates, barre, yoga fusion is challenging and works out muscles that you didn't even know you had but without the high impact that can wreak havoc on your joints. And then you have your more traditional Strong Slow Flow Yoga that is also challenging and is a great work out but is more Zen and spiritual. And I also love the Gentle Yin Yoga Stretch which is basically holding stretching posses for extended periods of time with lots of deep breaths. It is so relaxing and really helps flexibility and is great for people with injuries. I leave this class feeling like I am floating on a cloud. There are a few other classes and they also have a spa. I fell in love with the studio, teachers and classmates and signed up for unlimited monthly classes. $99 a month but if you go to 3 classes a week it works out to be under $10 a class and that's a great deal. With the love, support and encouragement from the teachers and fellow students, I managed to lose 17 pounds in 5 months and exceeded my wedding weight goal! Working out has never been so fun. I actually look forward to my classes instead of dreading them. I leave there feeling strong, uplifted, empowered and just plain happy. Come join us for a couple of classes and I guarantee you will be hooked, and you can thank me later! read more

I'm not an avid yoga participant, mostly due to my own packed schedule, but when I can, I try to take a class at Ahhh Sweet Balance. I've done the pilates class which I loved, albeit, I was in pain for 2 days, but a good pain :) Most recently they have added some fun classes, such as the mom-daughter yoga class which we loooove! It fits my schedule, it was so fun and I love introducing my daughter to yoga. We are taking another class tomorrow and can't wait! read more

Chanelle was the makeup artist at my wedding two weeks ago, and she did an amazing job! She really listened to what I wanted, and the results were perfect. I'd recommend scheduling a trial with her so you can get an idea for what you're looking for - I wouldn't have known what to ask for if I hadn't done one. Plus, it's fun! She did my makeup, my mom's makeup and my sister's makeup on my wedding day, and everyone was thrilled. In addition to being good at what she does, she's also pleasure to talk and work with.
