Our tour guide suggested this restaurant and it did not disappoint! We ordered her suggested Garlic Shrimp and stuffed Shrimp and both dishes were outstanding! They were bursting with flavor! The garlic shrimp was cooked with onion and it tasted garlicky, sweet, and buttery. Also, the servers sat us immediately and they were all really friendly. To top it all, the restaurant has AC! That was a must have for us.

During our visit to the island we asked a couple taxi drivers for recommendations on local food, and this is one of the places they recommended when in main town near Port Zante. It's a cute place, really relaxing vibe with AC inside. I like the island charm decor. The servers are friendly and food is not bad. The starter Conch Fritters was okay. Hubby ordered the saucy Coconut Shrimp and I got Pan Fried Blacken Grouper, we enjoyed both tasty dishes.

Food was very good. After a day at the beach this was a great day to get some food and drinks before getting back on the ship!

We'd visited this restaurant a few times in the past and it was always delicious with great service. This time was a little different. Our waiter was kind of new and didn't know much about the offerings. A manager came over to confirm the order he took. With two mains and a few appetizers the food came, and it looked significantly different than it did. Last year, the flavors were different. The sauces were different, and the conch fritters were extremely overcooked. We were hungry so we ate what we could. The garlic sauce tasted like a sugary, teriyaki sauce with strong lemon. The rice and peas was really bland, coleslaw was okay. We got the bill with two sets of taxes (20% and 10%, respectively) and an added service charge equivalent to the higher tax. I ended up with a sour stomach and a day in the lavatory. I think this was my last visit.

Our cruise includes a stop at Bassierre St. Kitts and someone recommended Sweet Cane as a good, local lunch spot. It was excellent advice! We had the conch fritters to start. Man, so delicious and portion size for 2 people was just right. My wife had the beef creole with house made mashed potatoes. She loved it! I had the seafood linguini. It was wonderful. The service was as good as any I've experienced, even in high end restaurants in the States. We highly recommend Sweet Cane's and will return every time we find ourselves in St Kitts!

OMG!!! Are words that describe this food. Everything was hot and made to order. I had the stuffed grouper, Hubby had the Stuffed Shrimp and the flavors were on point. I definitely recommend this to all visiting. I was hesitant that it'd be another commercial restaurant but it definitely was authentic.

Absolutely amazing!!…read more Unassuming and not pretentious while still being clean, friendly, accommodating, and delicious. This was one of our favorites dinners while we visited Saint Maarten. The husband and wife owners are absolutely incredible. My son ordered the spaghetti. I ordered the lobster and my husband ordered the whole snapper. Spaghetti- the chef came over and grated fresh Parmesan over the spaghetti...delicious Lobster- couldn't decide if I wanted it prepared creole style or Thermidor. The wife made a decision for me and had each half prepared differently. I was soooo grateful and tipped accordingly because that was a lot of work. My husband and I planned to share the lobster and he doesn't like tomatoes so they left the fresh tomatoes out of the creole side and added okra (I love okra but my husband hates them). My husband tried it nonetheless and loved it. The lobster was delicious! Curried Whole snapper - AMAZING! The food and all the sides were served piping hot and my husband REALLY appreciated that. He also appreciated the size of the snapper (maybe about 2.5lbs). He ordered whole snapper at every restaurant we visited and this location had the largest whole fish. The view from the restaurant is amazing. They play music in the square that you enter to access the restaurant. The music is loud enough to hear while dining. Not sure if it's an every night thing or not. Music was fine. Overall, we were really happy to spend our money here!

We made reservations before we arrived, although they really weren't necessary--but how were we to know? We were seated at a lovely table overlooking the marina, and once the sun went down, the twinkling lights reflecting on the water created a beautiful atmosphere. There was also a wonderful breeze, which was such a pleasant surprise for July. We expected it to be much hotter! I ordered the surf and turf with my choice of three different steaks and selected the ribeye with a half lobster tail. The ribeye was enormous, cooked perfectly, and seasoned so well that every bite was bursting with flavor. The lobster tail was tender and delicious. The portion was so generous that I ended up sharing my steak with my husband! The rice and peas were so good that he kept scooping them onto his plate--and he's definitely not a rice-and-peas kind of guy! He's usually a mashed potato guy...as you can tell from his own plate! It was hands down some of the best I've had in a very long time. The crispy tostones were the perfect compliment . He ordered the Grouper topped with lobster sauce, and really enjoyed it. His side choice was mashed potatoes and vegetables. I had a bite and concur the group. It was very moist and the sauce. It was just delicious. I had peaked at the menu prior to arriving and that's what I had every intention of ordering but then when I saw the surf and turf I was like, hey why not let's celebrate at $66 I didn't think it was much of an issue As a really nice surprise and great gesture, a molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream was delivered to us with happy anniversary wishes on the house. We've been visiting the island for over 25 years, often several times a year, and somehow this was our first visit to this restaurant. It definitely won't be our last. Highly recommended!

The appetizers took an hour to come out and I have no idea what the cooks were doing. The food was cold and spoke to the chef and all he did was take off for the cheapest meal and which was cold also. If I could give a no star I would. Food was cold and tough. I spoke with the head chef Carlos not really wanting to appease to our experience. We didn't even get an apology for the long wait. This is my family's first and last time going there. Especially being on vacation. I highly doubt not recommend this place at all and it's highly disappointing due to the location of the place that set the ambiance off from what could've been a memorable moment.
