It was three steps: 1. Consult - Aashu explained all the benefits and considerations for the procedure, the pricing model, and the appts needed. She also did a sample outline of what my brows would look like using some sort of makeup so I could get an idea. She consulted on possible shapes and styles and updated the outline drawn on my face so I could decide which was a good fit. She explained what to expect with the procedure in great detail. 2. 1st Appointment - Aashu had great communication with me about where to be and what to expect. She even kept my scheduled appointment on the day of a big snow storm. She used a numbing cream that made the procedure itself not very painful. It took maybe 2 hours. She gave me an aftercare kit and detailed instructions to follow, which were pretty easy. From day 1 I didn't feel the need to pencil in my brows anymore. I had a tiny bit of itching the first week, but nothing to be worried about. 3. 2nd Appointment - This one was the same thing but much quicker. I went in with the idea that I was…read moregoing to try one area then do more if it was successful, but ended up purchasing a package for 3 different areas! Let me tell you why: Besides the fact that the staff are great salespeople, they're also very friendly and knowledgeable. I have PCOS as well as Hidradenitis Suppurativa, both of which can benefit from LHR, so what truly impressed me was the fact that they were able to answer all of my questions regarding those medical conditions and even threw in stories about friends or other clients who were dealing with the same thing. I was concerned about how inclusive they are but was informed that they've had many plus size and transgender clients which made me feel at ease. On top of it, they were able to provide me with information about the process that I didn't know even after doing my own research, and they were quick to offer me free bottled water during my visits. If you're worried about the pain, it's different for everyone. I have a higher pain tolerance so I didn't even feel the first treatment and didn't start experiencing pain until my 4th session. Like most people say, it feels like a rubber band snapping your skin and some areas are worse than others (such as the upper lip), but the staff are great about helping you work through it. They have stress balls, will speed up or slow down, can take breaks, and will let you know how many zaps are left so it doesn't feel like it's going on forever. They also provide aloe vera gel after and their laser puts out a blast of cold air during treatment which helps to minimize the pain and heat. Taking Tylenol and Advil before your treatment can help to prevent some of the pain as well! If you have PCOS, the few minutes of pain are definitely worth it. I used to have thick black hairs on my upper lip and chin that I'd have to shave daily. It affected my confidence and caused me to struggle with my gender identity when I was growing up. Now I don't have that facial hair anymore which has helped me to feel more feminine and happy. The first 2 treatments did trigger my skin condition, but the staff are medically trained professionals who addressed this issue with me and took steps to prevent it from happening again. I haven't had another breakout since! Tip for those who have Hidradenitis Suppurativa: Take Advil and use an ice pack both before and after treatment; it makes a HUGE difference. Now here's the part that nobody wants to talk about - money. Lots of people get angry because Milan doesn't publicly disclose their prices, but this is protocol for the majority of aesthetic medical centers. We all know how it works - they're supposed to reel you in before telling you the price. Yes, it's expensive! I paid $7,500 for unlimited lifetime treatments at any location in the US on 3 different areas of my body, but I'm paying it off in monthly installments and the results have definitely been worth it. Don't let the price hold you back!
