Went with a friend who is a wine club member to the wine club pick up event last Sunday. I had always been meaning to go to this winery, but never did until now. I sure missed out on a lot. Their event was made extra special by the staff, as they were all knowledgeable and well-versed in the food and wine pairings that were offered at this event. I was particularly impressed as to how they were keeping the bottles of white wine cold by using ice that they had frozen flowers in. It was a beautiful presentation. There was a brick oven pizza set up and the pizzas were delicious. I am not sure if they are there all the time or because this was a special event. The wines are on point with each presentation and the outside area is spectacular. The inside area can hold a lot of people, especially on rainy days and very nicely decorated with lots of large windows. I can hardly wait to go back there again when all of the roses around the outside patio area are in Bloom! I will be bringing my small senior dog next time I visit their winery as they are dog friendly. read more

Very cute place with tons of windows and access to the outside. It was cool and rainy the day we went but you could tell that on a sunny day it would be incredible. We went on a Sunday and did not have reservations and our group of 4 were able to be seated right away. Two of us did the red flight and one did the white while our driver sipped a coke. We had the Mediterranean plate and I would not recommend it, however the pickled asparagus and onions were delicious. Rest felt like it was left over from many days before. Wine was tasty and interesting to try a Chardonnay from the region. My favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc. Coolest part was seeing all the other tables bringing in their own boards and snacks. What a beautiful place to taste or have a glass of wine with your own assortment of goodies. Staff did a nice job explaining the wines and what made them unique with grapes from the region. Went there 4:35 when apparently they closed at 5 and they said we "had time for 1 drink." Ordered our 1 drink, then promptly told after ordering and paying for a bottle to go that we had to "drink faster" at 5:04. My mother in law couldn't even use the restroom. It's been years since we've visited Sweet Cheeks but we were lucky to be attending a wedding this past weekend at this beautiful venue. The winery is nestled in the rolling hills of the Southern Willamette Valley located in a peaceful valley South of Eugene, Oregon and among the amazing countryside of the state. It is in an area of several other wineries which produce the fine wines of the Willamette Valley wine country. It looked much like it did when we last visited and the views were just as we remembered. The indoor/outdoor area appeared to be bigger than it was when we visited last and we learned the winery is open to the public during the day and private events are booked in the evenings. While there were various vendors providing services such as flowers, catering, dj, photo booth and photographer, the young ladies who served at the bar and helped to ensure this special event ran smoothly did a wonderful job. Sweet Cheeks is a beautiful and special place. Our only complaint is that the number of restrooms seems very limited based on the size of the events. We also felt the bathrooms need a refresh and to be better stocked. read more

They have some very good wines with their whites stealing the show for me. They offer nice charcuterie boards and such to pair and cleanse the pallet. The views are wonderful and the winery well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I came here to do a little wine tasting since I saw that they had some sweet wines. When I was greeted first by the host checking in he asked what I was here for and got a little background. I was then seated in the patio since I had made a reservation. The hostess then came in and greeted me and catered to my needs of sweet wines. Beautiful views in Eugene that you would not expect. We saw a sign on the side of the road and decided to follow it to Sweet Cheeks. I had a guided 4 pour flight and my husband had an IPA. The wines were all so good. Our server/guide Daphne was so nice and had a great amount of knowledge about their wines. I ended up purchasing 2 bottles (which also waives the tasting fee). We've been going to this winery for many years. Oftentimes to play cards and drink wine. The staff there is always wonderful, the wine and general ambiance are fantastic. Yesterday there was a private gathering for wine club members, to experience newly opened wines. Nice live background music fulfilled the experience, along with a pizza food truck, plus mini charcuterie dishes for each patron. If you don't mind a 10-15 minute drive outside of town, we highly recommend this business. There are very large doors that during nice weather, are open, so you can sit either outside on the beautiful multi level patio, or indoors. One thing I suggest, is if you go during rainy/cold season, they close those doors, requiring sitting indoors, and it gets a bit noisy. I have tinnitus, so I take my earplugs just in case They do require reservations, which are easily booked online, or by phone. Enjoy! read more

I got married here on June 29th, 2024. The weather, and roses made it so beautiful. This place is perfect for a wedding. I also love their wine. I like sweet wine and two of their wines are sweet and delicious. Nora the event coordinator was so helpful. Her and her team were really on top of it. If it wasn't for Nora, I wouldn't have know what to do at all. Just know that if you want to do your wedding here, it can't start until 6:30 pm, which is a but tricky especially since to roads to get here are all windy. But all in all, everyone said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. read more

We stumbled upon a special release event today and got to try an array of new 2024 wines including a Pino Gris, Rose, white blend, and Grenache with food pairings for each. After we went for a bottle of the Malbec which is our go to! It was rated one of the top 14 Malbecs in the world and it shows. It's always such a pleasant place to sit and enjoy! Beautiful winery and tasting room. Wonderful views from the enclosed tasting room/patio with glass panels on every side. Patio and water features look very attractive for outside seating, which wasn't possible since it was pouring rain, stormy and cold. So we sat inside, at one of their tables. So far so good. The table itself was very sticky and when the woman who served us wiped the table again, it became even more sticky. I guess it's the stain of the table and disinfect wipes they use? Any way, not pleasant to have your elbows and phone stick to the table. I ordered a flight of whites, which I picked myself, "curated flight" for $20 for 4 tastings of each about 2 ounces. 3 of the 4 were horrible and I had to dilute them with water to drink them. The notes that came with them were actually quite funny, because my husband and I could not detect any of the "hint of" almond croissant or cherry or whatever it was supposed to have. The "aroma" (the smell) was very well described though but very overpowering on most. (Like the white with the hibiscus aroma had a distinct smell of soap). Not pleasant. Again, every one has their own preferences in tastes/wines but these did absolutely nothing for me. Service was ok. Friendly but not overly attentive. I had a feeling she was a bit nervous when I asked about her club memberships, for some reason. When I tried to pay, their credit card system did not work and I ended up paying with cash. Came on the recommendation of Airbnb host! I enjoy wine, but never been to vineyard. So glad that I came here as my first!! Came here for wine tasting. Unfortunately wasn't able to explore the Vineyard because it was harvest season during the summer. Place definitely deserves to be part of Oregon's best vineyards because the service is excellent and the Vineyard is beautiful. On top of that they also allow dogs! The only downside is that they do not have any food pairings with the actual wines. The only food that they have is Meat and cheese. I do have to say that they're dried fruits is incredible!!
