They've been around since 2012 and offers a variety of treats; from macarons, cupcakes, bars, pies, truffles, and cookies. There are three locations; Avon, South Windsor, and West Hartford. This one in Avon is super cute and whimsical; love the decor with the picture frames on the wall. There was a table and some chairs to enjoy your treats. I decided to get a few macarons, bars, and a cupcake. All were so good but my favorite were the macarons. They were the perfect texture, lightly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. This place is definitely a gem and I can't wait to go back!

But there may be more options available.... Definitely worth a pop-in to get something small and taste the deliciousness. Regardless, the interior is beautiful decorated. It feels like a modern tea room with some availability to sit. The walls are a beautiful calm blue. They have some cold drinks, and the cups cakes - very moist, definitely have standing life in them. The employee was very kind and friendly, and the shop seems smoothly run. The shop seems to be in two plazas, and have designated parking on either side next to the building. Watch carefully for the signs, because the plaza is a little nondescript from the road.

In the case of Tulmeadow Farm and Lacroix's Homemade (I'm posting the same update for both), I have to admit that I had it somewhat wrong. Both Tulmeadow and Lacroix's made @cticecreamtour's Top 15 CT Creameries. My original reviews for both Tulmeadow and Lacroix's were both good btw. I just didn't initially connect with the flavors I tried in the way that I did with my other CT favorites. Since those initial reviews, everything I tried at each has been a banger. At Tulmeadow, I recently had Red Raspberry Chocolate Chip, Marshmallow Toasted Cornflake, Chocolate Raspberry Raspberry Curd and the best flavor I've had this year -- Double Raspberry Crumbcake. The flavors all popped. The use of intensely flavored raspberry curd in a couple of the ice creams was next level. The colors were right on. The texture was top tier. Service was friendly and the farm setting adds to the experience. Tulmeadow is 5 Stars and I'm upgrading my earlier review.

It's also a textural thing for me. So there was a bit of hesitation as well. I thought the ice cream was excellent. They had great flavors to choose from. I went with the bestselling red raspberry chocolate chip, and then the burnt honey sea salt. Service was super friendly. I asked what the smallest size was that they could do two flavors in and they were more than willing to accommodate the kiddie cup, which was still plenty of ice cream for me. I think the sign said it's 3 oz, but it at least seemed like more to me. As good as the red raspberry was, I think I preferred the burnt honey. The flavor was strong went well with the naturally occurring cream flavor. There was a lot of parking on the side of the building. I think there was an indoor area, though I can't confirm if you can order ice cream inside. I used the outdoor window to order. I also found the prices to be reasonable. Great first experience. I would definitely recommend the ice cream. It did not disappoint, and I look forward to having it again.

This choice was not made lightly, and it comes as a result of insurmountable challenges in maintaining adequate staffing in our kitchen, compounded by rising operational costs. Throughout our journey, our goal has always been to offer you an exceptional dining experience. Unfortunately, the challenges we have faced have made it increasingly difficult to maintain the standards that our guests deserve and expect. We know some of you will shake your heads and point to all of our faults. We've certainly had many but our greatest accomplishments, our three kids, deserve so much better than what we've been able to give them over the past year. We know some will question us for doing this on such short notice. Please know that we had no other choice. Without a kitchen staff we cannot operate the restaurant. We know that many of you will want to reach out to us to lend your support. We are taking this time to spend it with our family and catch-up on long overdue snuggles and hugs and memories. We hope that you do the same. Our son asked if we were sad that our dreams were over and we immediately responded and told him our dreams were standing right in front of us. We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support and patronage. Your smiles, laughter, and loyalty have been the heart of our establishment and have inspired us every day. It has been an honor to serve you. We would like to offer to offer to replace any outstanding gift cards (excluding rewards balances) with a gift card from our sister location, Brewery Legitimus. To coordinate exchange of your Lunette gift card for a Brewery Legitimus gift please contact us at info@the-lunette.com. Thank you for being a part of our story. Although this chapter is closing, the memories we have shared will remain with us forever. We are hopeful for the future and wish you all the best in your culinary adventures. The Lunette

It's located in the quaint and quintessential town, Collinsville, CT. It's situated right on the Farmington River and just steps away from the historic Collins Axe Company. We went on a Saturday for lunch; there were plenty of parking. Since it's winter, the patio area overlooking the river was closed; I can't wait to dine on there when it gets warmer. They didn't have high chairs yet, but we improvised and brought our baby carriage in. The place was lovely; I loved the emerald green chairs and the plants on the walls as decor. The bar looked classy too. Our server was friendly and attentive. We started off with the cheese board; for $16 it came with three cheeses, nuts, fig jam, mini pickles, and crostini. The cheeses were blue cheese, brie, and gruyere. The board was great and had a good amount of cheese; I just wished there were more crostini to hold all the cheeses. They had an awesome food and cocktail menu. I ordered the pomegranate margarita $14; it had pear juice, tequila, honey, and triple sec and it was a tasty drink. I've been following them on social media for a bit and their short rib dish ($28) looked delicious. I had to get it for lunch even though it's a dinner entree. It's Legitimus beer braised short rib, carrots, onions, over garlic mashed potatoes and cheddar. The short rib melted in my mouth, the au jus was flavorful, and the mashed potatoes tied it all together. It was a 5 star dish. The ambiance, food, and service were 5 stars. The prices were a little high but you pay for the quality. They make their own syrups and juice their own lemons & limes for their cocktails. I look forward to going back and trying more food and drinks. I wish them much success in this awesome little town!

I always enjoy the blood orange chocolate chip and seeing what unique flavors are concocted (geranium, key lime cheesecake, pomegranate). It's pretty pricey for what you get (1 scoop, 1.5 scoops and onward) and my scoop today was rather small. They also sell pints for $8 which is a better deal. Samples are a must because of all the options. Disappointed that they don't make ice cream cakes anymore, especially because J Foster's just isn't as good. Place is on a road with lots of shopping options. Parked outside while the missus ordered dinner. Wait was going to be a little while, so I went inside to get an ice cream appetizer. They have lots of unique ice cream flavors, but opted for the boysenberry jasmine because it was the weirdest one that I thought she would enjoy. The ice cream was a little icy but the scoop was a good size and the boysenberry was not overly tart. It was like a nice light tea as an ice cream. Quite pleasant, The food was okay. I appreciate the crust on the grilled cheese, the dedication to using straight up American cheese, and the bread choice. They need. Mozzarella or provolone option so one can get those epic cheese pulls. Also they need to use a sharper cheese to increase that cheese flavor. The Asian tacos were very wet, chicken was not seasoned and the veggies were fresh but lacked seasoning. It was a fine taco, but no flavor. The veggie bahn mi, much more seasoning on the veggies here than the veggies in the taco. We took those veggies out of the bahn mi and subbed them into the Asian tacos to give it more flavor. That worked. The bread was this artisan roll with a crispy outside but soft inside. A better bahn mi than other places, but the bread needs to be more akin to a hoagie roll rather than an artisanal sandwich roll. As a food location, I put them on par with other ice cream shops that offer food. They usually don't do the food that great, but they excel at ice cream. They got lots of interesting ice cream flavors to try, and they are on par with pricing for the area. Come here for a sweet treat, probably ignore the food options, and enjoy!

After seeing the menu, I decided to try their chicken katsu instead while my fiancé tried the beef ramen. We also got two medium bubble teas. Both drinks came out first. Still pricey but at least it was good. My fiancé ramen came out shortly after and we weren't too impressed. The beef broth was a muted color which looked more like miso. He said the noodles were sticky and pretty soft. I waited about 15 minutes until my chicken katsu came out (we were the only ones in there so it wasn't busy) and it looked promising... Good crunch but seems like chicken thighs were used as there was a good amount of fat in it. It quickly became kinda inedible because of how much sauce was covering the whole dish. I'm a sauce girly and love my condiments, but this was just so excessive. I asked for a box to go and maybe my fiancé will finish it later lol. The girl was so sweet and even offered MORE sauce to go, but i quickly declined. Overall, may be back for the teas if it's payday. Would not try the food again.
