I would be very careful before enrolling your children at Zacarias Daycare. I truly hope things…read morehave changed since my experience, but I feel it's important to share what happened with my son. When my son was 2 years old, I had to place him in daycare. From the very beginning, something didn't feel right. Drop-off and pick-up always took place at the front door, and I was never allowed inside. That immediately made me uncomfortable. The daycare appeared to keep all of the children in one small bedroom for most of the day, except when they went outside to play in the backyard. Every time I picked up my son, he seemed extremely hungry, and every morning when I dropped him off, he looked sad and didn't want to go inside. The incident that made me remove my son happened when he was injured while in her care. He came home with a scrape on his forehead. When I called to ask what had happened, she responded, "He might have fallen." I asked, "Did he fall, or do you not know?" I also asked why I hadn't been informed that he had been injured. Her response was, "Kids are going to have accidents all day long. That doesn't mean I'm going to tell you about all of them." I explained that if my child is injured and comes home with visible marks, I expect to be notified. I later scheduled a meeting to review the security footage. The video showed the children outside while she was inside the house cleaning her refrigerator. My son fell forward off a picnic bench and landed face down on the ground. Instead of immediately checking on him, she came outside yelling at the other children because they had gotten up from the table to surround him. The children appeared startled and began crying. She then brought my son inside and had him sit on the couch for what felt like a long time, almost as if he were being punished for falling. I never saw her check him for injuries or assess whether he was okay. While reviewing the footage, I asked her to continue playing the recording so I could see how long my 2-year-old remained sitting on the couch. She refused, turned off the computer, and ended the meeting. I trusted my instincts and removed my son from the daycare shortly afterward. He is now 4 years old, and I am grateful I listened to my gut. Even today, writing about this experience is heartbreaking because no parent wants to wonder whether their child was safe while they were away.

She keeps removing or hiding my Google review so I am posting it here hoping families looking for…read moresafe, friendly childcare will avoid this one. I terminated my childcare contract after being threatened and blackmailed. They almost got me in trouble for "childcare fraud" with the county because they insisted on me signing forms and them filling out my attendance sheets with extra hours and days without my knowledge or approval before she was submitting them. She stated over the phone and in person that they couldn't handle "not being paid" for the days my child was at home sick even though their monthly rate is the same regardless of attendance. I have had multiple corrective conversations about the timesheet reported hours issues, always with pushback and refusal to correct or change the behavior saying the children had to be counted for "at least 25 hours each week or their contract would be reduced". Ashley is a very aggressive and demanding provider who will lie on your county forms. She does not care about anything other than her payments and falsifies county timesheets, reporting inaccurate embelished attendance times. She has let my children go hungry and gotten physical leaving marks on them multiple times which she then denies without offering the video proof of what happens. Marks on my children from them being aggressive and multiple doctor and hospital visits for diaper rash for using wrong diapers/pull ups when I would provide my own and a severe allergic reaction that I had to leave work an hour early in the afternoon to rush my child to the hospital. My children have broken down crying to me stating that they hated this daycare and that Ms. Ashley is mean and hurts them, calls them duroguratory names, tells them to shut up, pushes them down, or locks them in a seat as "punishment". They have cameras in the facility but never allowed me access to review footage from incidents that occurred, she just insisted on telling her side of the story ever time. I had allergy testing done on my child, several months before the severe allergic reaction occurred and she refused to tell me what could have possibly caused it, the reaction was fast and happened in the afternoon nearly resulting in anaphylaxis and needing hospital epinephrine and steroid medication. She was insisting that I sent my child while she was already having a reaction which I know is a lie and even the hospital doctor said it was impossible for the reaction to be going on longer than a couple of hours before I brought her in from the daycare. I WILL BE PURSUING LEGAL ACTION AND A RESTRAINING ORDER FOR THREATS TO MY FAMILY! Do not trust this childcare provider with your children. Ashley also attempted to call and lie to my county worker stating my kids were "in her care" even though they were with me for weeks out of child care, which my worker physically saw my children physically with me. She attempted to falsify claims of child and drug abuse that are not happening in my home, which is absolutely wild because being and mandated reporter myself and working at a school for over half a year and an airport for a year before all of this occurred just proves she is "Delulu". Why would she wait three years until I terminate my childcare contract before reporting me for "abuse and drug use" if she really cared and wasn't just using this as retaliation for my brutally honest review and contract termination. It makes no sense. My county worker saw me and my child the same day that Ashley suddenly wants to call the county and try to make these false "child wellness" reports to have me investigated. She has been flagged as a provider by the county as untrustworthy and my work assured me that she will not be offered any more county-approved contracts in the future. She called, berated and yelled over me on the phone for nearly half an hour before I finally had enough, said I am terminating our contract, and hung up on her. Then she tried to call back. I have the call recorded for my records and well as medical records, photos, and text messages to show in court. Be very cautious of retaliation from this childcare provider. She is not trustworthy or honest. Stay safe families and good luck!
