Not everyone can cook great nihari--but this place truly can…read more A friend of mine was in Streamwood this weekend and happened to come across Zahid Nihari. Since my nickname is Zahid and he knows how much I love nihari, he snapped a photo of the restaurant and sent it to me. I jokingly told him to bring some for the "owner" (meaning me), but I didn't expect him to take it seriously. He ended up dining there, loved the nihari, and decided to order an extra portion to go. Then he drove seven and a half hours all the way to Minneapolis and delivered it to me today. After reheating it, I can honestly say--it was absolutely delicious. I usually don't write reviews for places I haven't visited in person. However, after tasting the nihari from Zahid Nihari, I was genuinely impressed and felt compelled to share my experience. This restaurant is now at the top of my list for future trips to the greater Chicago area. Wishing them all the very best! My only suggestion is to improve the bathroom cleanliness, I know people just make it messy doesn't matter how many times you clean it but still a good restaurant deserves a clean bathroom. It was still better than most restaurants I have seen but still the room for improvement is always there.
