Delish delivered 100% on a beautiful and tasty cake for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding, over a year ago, so my review is long overdue. The tasting was fun and provide a great opportunity to try their cake and icing flavors and pick the perfect cake. We were shown a lot of ideas to help with our choices. Alicia is great and very helpful and cares about her customers and community. On a recent stop, I bought six of their cupcakes. The cake part was so moist and they were generously iced. I love the plain vanilla flavor but the red velvet is also good. I appreciate a good marble cake and they have this flavor as well. It is convenient too that they have candles, gift bags, and other birthday accessories you can get while in the store. I look forward to my next visit to Delish!
Delish Cakes provided the cake for my brother's wedding and it was delish. This cake was simple and elegant in decoration. I have learned to lower my expectation for the taste of wedding cakes based on past experience. But this time was different. This may have been the best wedding cake I've ever had. This wedding cake tasted just like a cinnamon roll. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. Based on this wedding cake, I highly recommend Delish Cakes!

They spoiled us at our wedding! We got a dessert table AND a beautiful cake for the cutting ceremony. The spread was awesome from choco strawberries to mini eclairs. The cake was STUNNING. I was literally moved by how close in detail they got the design I wanted from a Pinterest photo. And it was so yummy- the pistachio buttercream was the best we had had. If you want an epic dessert table or cake that people will devour and talk about- Go with these guys! Not only that, but the staff is so nice and friendly. Love them forever.
Delish made an absolutely gorgeous and delicious cake for my daughter's fairy first birthday party last weekend. The cake exceeded my expectations and my daughter loved her smash cake! I thought the pricing was very reasonable for the high quality product I received, and everyone I spoke to was very kind. I highly recommend and would use them again for future special occasions.
Beautiful & Delicious Cake! I was nervous ordering a large cake for my mom's 90th birthday party because I just showed them a pic of the party invitation and had to trust that they would make a cake that fit in with the floral theme. This was my first time here, so I had never seen or tasted a cake from this bakery. They did not disappoint! The cake was gorgeous AND delicious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because calling the bakery to speak with someone was hit or miss. Oftentimes you get a voice message telling you to send an email communication. They may be a little short-staffed and the cakes are not cheap, but for me, it was worth the price. They did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend this bakery for specialty cakes.
Delish made us the most perfect and delicious Barbie birthday cake! We sent in a picture and they created exactly what we wanted. The kids all gasped when we took the cake out to sing, they were so excited. I am so happy we went with delish. We had an issue with a previous order and they were quick to respond and make it right. We will definitely be back for more amazing cakes!!
Decided to check out this spot, heard good things. I remember when they still had their pop up at Stratford Square Mall. Overall aesthetic of the store was cute. Really nice to see the ladies working to the right of you when you walk in. Women power! Good options to choose from, the cupcakes are very moist. I had tried the Bloomingdale one and it's really rich in chocolate and you just know it's good. Cake pops on the other hand are just good, nothing too special. Definitely appreciate the aesthetic of it but taste wise nothing too crazy. Prices aren't too bad for 6 cupcakes of your choice about $12.
Wowza!! Delish cakes absolutely nailed our cake request! We emailed the bakery and requested a Harry Potter cake for my sisters birthday. Grianne responded and was easy to work with as we dialogued via email about what we wanted. We told her we were serving 10 people and sent her our inspiration photo (included in my photos here) we asked for the scarf to be Ravenclaw colors (blue) instead of Gryffindor (red/gold) and that they put an "HP" instead of "Harry" on the cake. We chose chocolate cake paired with cookies and cream filling. We went to pick it up ( the cake costs $140 total) and they let us have a sneak peak-WOW!!!! The cake was far better than the inspiration photo. The attention to detail was perfection! The cake was easy to cut and we all enjoyed it very much. The only minor critique I have is that we wish the cake was more moist and that they had put more filling. All in all, the flavor was great and I could not recommend Delish Cakes enough!
Last year for my youngest child's birthday, I chose a cake at Jewel from the glass bakery display. It looked so nice but was so disappointingly dry and flavorless. I just couldn't repeat the same mistake for her 2nd birthday. Being the horrible planner I am, I started looking for bakeries to do a cake only about a week before her big day. And for some reason, so many bakeries in the area are closed on Wednesdays (the day her birthday falls on this year). Delish Cakes was open, so I emailed an inquiry. Alicia responded a short time later, and we emailed back and forth a bit about design, size, and she also quoted me a few different price options. (FWIW, $40-50 for a 6" cake with simple design. I wasn't overly particular, but asked for piped flowers with some butterfly and flower decoration, and used a gallery pic for inspiration). I received an invoice that was due 2 days before pick up. It was easy to pay by Zelle or PayPal. The cake was beautiful and delicious!! There was so much butter flavor (wow!) in both the cake and the buttercream. It's the butteriest buttercream I've ever had! The chocolate cake was moist and subtle/not overwhelming. My only gripe was that they didn't have cake boxes tall enough to accommodate the 2 layer cake. My cake was put in a standard/1 layer cake box, and the lid was taped up at an angle. (Not very good at keeping dust out, gah.) I feel like 2 layers is a pretty standard order.. shouldn't they be equipped to box 2 layer cakes?? I'd deduct a star for that, but I got a cupcake with my Yelp Check-In, so don't want to be petty.. Overall, I definitely made the right choice in cake choices for once, and it only cost about $10 more than the big box store. Satisfying local biz experience!

My friends LOVED the design and we all enjoyed eating them because the cake, filling, and frosting are so YUMMY!!! Liz is a total pro at taking my order, helping me with design, pricing, and making a perfect cake! I love edible gifts!!! FYI, they can make pretty much make anything your heart desires! As long as you can provide a design, they can help you perfect it.
Small place located in a strip mall. They have cakes for special occasions, cookies (also for special occasions), and cupcakes. Today I got cupcakes through the "too good to go" app. I received 18 full size cupcakes for $7.99. What a deal! The cupcakes were fresh, with a good variety. Service was very quick as they had my order already boxed and ready to go. Others take more time if you are doing an order for an occasion. We have used Delish Cakes for baby shower cookies more than once. Anyway, back to the cupcakes. The cupcake itself is regular sized, and the frosting is very thick and very sweet. All the flavors are very good and they have a good variety. It's almost too thick but hey, you only live once. I would go back for the cookies and cupcakes. read more

We loved this place! We only stopped by because we saw their beautiful heart display as we were heading north on Bloomingdale road - literally turned around to check it out. Only was able to snag a few photos because my sugar coma toddlers ate their cookie and cake pops before I could get photos. Would definitely recommend and we'll be back! read more

Beautiful & Delicious Cake! The ONE AND ONLY PLACE for your cake and dessert treats!!! They are the best!!! I had two separate celebrations for my son's 1st birthday. The cakes were PHENOMENAL!!! Not only we're they beautiful and taste amazing, they helped me bring my vision to reality. I've gotta say my mom saw the cakes sign and was beating me till stopped haha just kidding kinda sorta Stopped with mom and I had a red velvet cupcake that was so fresh & moist it nearly melted in my mouth .... did I say I was on a diet was so yummy abs so worth it Mom picked an assortment of cupcakes I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for something sweet read more

I ordered a cake from Delish Cakes about a week before I needed it, I know bad timing considering I wanted a custom cake but Delish Cakes made it happen! They were very responsive over email and I gave them reference photos of what I'd like my cake to look like and the flavors. They nailed the cake! It was very delicious, the cake was moist and flavors were beyond amazing! I would definitely recommend them! read more
I would recommend this bakery to anyone- especially who is looking to order a custom cake! I wanted a cake for my sister's surprise baby shower and it could not have been more perfect! The mother to be was so happy she was in tears, this cake helped make her day so special. The ordering process was easy and the staff are very responsive. I was able to order the cake seamlessly without having to come in until the day I need to pick it up. The cake tasted just as amazing as it looked. I chose a vanilla cake with cannoli filling on one tier and chocolate cake with Oreo filling for the other tier. Everyone was asking where the cake was from it was that delicious! Would not hesitate to reach out again when I need anything else in the future! Excellent! read more

We had an 80th Birthday party for my mother and we ordered a 2 tier cake yellow on the bottom and chocolate on the top with a whipped mixed berries filling in both. Oh, it was sooooo good!! Cake was moist, buttercream frosting was perfect, not to sweet. And the cake was impressive! Matched my color scheme perfectly! I would recommend Delish Cakes. The reviews for Delish Cakes are hugely skewed. This is a great little pastry shop in the most adorable little building. They have some tables outside if you'd like to eat your goodies right away, however overall the shop is more of a grab n go spot. When I first walked into the adorable shop I was hit with the most sweet smells I've ever sniffed at a bakery...and I'm no stranger to bakeries. The lady working was pleasant, the cupcakes are amazing and their prices are top notch. I got 12 dozen cupcakes for $20!!! Wowza. I told the lady to just give me a mix of the cupcakes she had on hand and everyone I tried was great. My top flavors: Double chocolate chip had really good cake as the base. I'm talkin' real good. Great chocolate flavor and was very moist. I loved the Apple Cinnamon cupcake I had. It was great for the season and filled with tiny bits of apples. It may be simple but the Vanilla cake with chocolate frosting was really good! I also loved their red velvet with cream cheese frosting. I gave one to a coworker, as well, and she also ended up loving it. Delish Cakes truly are delish and you betta believe I will be back often! read more
Sometimes, I crave cupcakes. OK, I crave them A LOT. Although I've tasted amazing cupcakes, I still haven't found THE go-to place near me for cupcakes. One recent afternoon, the craving hit me and I decided to hit up Delish in the search for a satisfying [and potentially perfect] cupcake. I went in, looked around, drooled over everything, and left with chocolate & vanilla cupcakes. Since it was the middle of the afternoon, they had a limited selection left (which, of course, means they're usually just the plain Jane flavors). No biggie. I bought them, took them home, devoured them, and shared with my husband. Delish Cakes is a very cute shop filled with good things: + friendly employees eager to assist. + reasonable prices. + photo books showcasing previous cake creations. + an adorable front 'porch' eating cupcakes outside. + assorted cake decor (candles, etc.) for purchase. But.... The cupcakes themselves didn't win my heart over. They were plain, sweet, and kind of stale -- not the best combination. It definitely didn't satisfy. I guess this won't be my go-to place for cupcakes. Darn. read more

Are use Delicious Cakes, four any of our birthdays their cakes are delicious and fresh not overly sweetened. Staff is extremely professional and friendly. Extremely happy with them. Definitely would recommend their services to anyone if you are looking for a specialty cake this is the place to get it from. read more

We used Delish for our wedding cake/cupcakes and could not be more pleased with the experience we had, and the reasonable price we paid. My husband (then fiancé) and I went in for a tasting and appreciated that we were given space to taste and make our decisions. Alicia, the owner, exceeded our expectations when she made our thoughts become reality in the form of the most delicious cake and cupcakes. Our reception was downtown and Delish transported everything and set it up exactly how I envisioned without any assistance from us. Our reception was Oct 2019, so the Halloween theme was fitting then! DEFINITELY recommend using Delish! We can't wait to order our anniversary cake soon because everything Alicia bakes is amazing! read more
