My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and asked for some extra pepperoni and they brought him a plate of extra pepperoni. My wife had the roasted chicken and she really enjoyed it. Had the pimento cheese burger. The toppings and everything were fine but the burger itself was overcooked and thin. It was a knife and fork burger but that's fine because the pimento cheese was spot on. The potatoes were the star; they were crispy outside and fluffy inside. My family got pizza (average) and lamb ragu (excellent). Service was excellent. The space outside was cheap feeling with a wobbly metal table but the inside seating was kind of fancy. We caught a rare night of perfect weather so we ate outside anyway. It was all about the food. read more

I just love this sweet little hometown place! My fave quick grab for lunch is the walnut grape chicken salad lunch box with cheese grapes ans crackers. It's a quick grab from the cooler. If I have more time to sit down in this charming little d building right off the historic square in Gainesville Texas I usually choose the Greek pasta salad or the gnocchi bowl. I've never been for dinner but their dinner menu looks so good! They alao have a selection of hand crafted coffees and drinks as well. Turtle mocha latte(with oatmilk for me) is also my favorite drink on the menu. Id you are just coming through Gainesville or live there, this place is adorable and locally owned and operated! The food was absolutely amazing! The blend of flavors was amazing. Everything was seasoned well. I had the salmon with mixed veggies. I tend to be pretty spoiled to the way my husband cooks and salmon and hard to compete, but I enjoyed this thoroughly. The veggies had corn mixed in; I normally pick around the corn but the combo was delicious. We were the only ones there so I assume it was off time. But it was a nice quiet ambiance which made dinner feel more intimate. The service was amazing and extremely friendly staff. I wish I had taken a picture of the salmon it was plated pretty. Overall I'd give them a 10; I would give them a 5 star on the taste of the food alone! We would go back here! read more

A young woman at Bungalow 123 suggested this place, and were so glad she did. The pretty decor (super comfy upholstered chairs) welcomed us in. The staff gave us good suggestions from them menu, and we were happy to take their advice. My panini sandwich was yummy, and we all commented that the sourdough bread was just right - not too thick or chewy like it sometimes is. My salad was a nice combination of greens, fruit, and nuts. We went at lunch time and it was busy the entire lunch service time. We did find it hard to hear each talk as there is minimal decor to act as a sound buffer. A hidden gem in Gainesville. A beautifully decorated entrance leads to a quaint one room dining space. A hallway in the back winds around and opens to a large patio space. We dined under string lights. Great atmosphere. Would love to hear some light music in the background, maybe on our next trip? The food is in smaller portions but just enough for us and all was delicious. We had the balsamic Brussel sprouts, salmon and shrimp & grits. The salmon was mild, tender and had a great sauce. The shrimp & grits was comfort food, so good and all thoughtfully prepared. The cherry on top of our evening was the table-side prepared bananas foster. Owner Chris shared with us the history of the bananas foster dish as he brought all the flavors together. We drove up from Denton, a short 30 minute trip and we will be returning. Oh and, they are open for breakfast, lunch and do take out. I've heard rave reviews of the charcuterie boards. read more
