They claim they have been trying to get a collegetown pickup location for years, but I really have a hard time believing this as Full Plate had no problem securing one at Stewart Ave. and Buffalo St. The vegetables are fresh and relatively inexpensive compared to other CSA's. Unfortunately, the hills in Ithaca make the pickup locations inconvenient for people who don't have a car and live up the hill.

The not so accommodating Pie Lady was only willing to give us a half credit, she wanted us to bring back all the pieces.(LOL) So buyer beware this owner takes no ownership of mistakes and thankfully we had no allergies to Rubbard! As we were about to walk away, slightly disappointed, we were told that they have raspberry picking though. And we were excited to do that. The girl interacting with us was very friendly, she drove us to the farm area for picking and we paid $5 for a box of raspberry picking. They are super ripe and nice!

This is a small family run business, the flowers and hanging baskets were amazing, the selection was vast and the prices were so fair, I paid 1/2 for a similar item I purchased from Lowe's the week before and it was so much nicer. $15.95 for a glorious hanging basket of the most beautiful deep purple flowers. This farm also grows a huge variety of produce and I am kicking myself for passing on the asparagus and rhubarb. In season they sell beautiful strawberries and tomatoes. I highly recommend Cassim's Farm for you gardening and produce needs.

Key is to try and catch them on days when they are freshly fried (at this time was Mon, Wed, Fri, maybe Sat?). I purchased the 6pack of cinnamon sugar each time. The donuts are dense but light, and completely coated in the sweet sugar mix. I also purchased 2 half-pecks of apples and 2 jars of apple butter as gifts. I was hoping for fresh cider and apple cider donuts, but alas that wouldn't come until early/mid-September. I did ask one of the guys there his tips on choosing types of apples, and I was impressed with how knowledgeable and informative he was. Parking was easy, but I could see how weekends may fill up with families. They seemed to have an organized system for apple picking. They take credit cards for payment.

Tons of apple varieties. Very friendly service. I had questions when I came in about different varieties and they were very helpful. They carry a broad selection of raw honeys, not found anywhere else. We did the guided tasting tour (offered on Thursdays and Fridays) on the covered back porch.
