Good service and good bee and cider. We order a flight to try several beers. Was disappointed that the cider was not allowed on the flight. Didn't order food but what went past us looked good. Once inside it took a while to get seen, so I walked up to the bar and asked about seating and the bartender who was discussing his next job options with a customer, (I agree plumbing is a great trade and you get to work with copper) told me to grab any table and there was probably a menu sitting around, which I found on the bar. We went and grabbed a table and looked over the menu and chose the fried chicken sandwich with fries, slaw and special sauce. I went back to the bar and also asked for an unsweet tea and an ice water when our order was taken. I felt bad for this lady as it seems the winter schedule has hit the business and she had to be the jack of all trades hustling from one task to another and she was very polite and apologetic for it taking a while to get to me. The owners need to help her out by installing a potable water tap behind the bar because filling water glasses out of the hand washing sink is a huge food safety violation. When washing your hands you are removing debris and germs which can be splashed back up on the faucet and then dispensed into your drink. That's why there is signage at the sink stating Handwashing only. The kitchen was the shinning star of this operation as the young lady at the window along with her team put out an outstanding fried chicken sandwich with fresh hot fries and side sauce. The chicken was crispy, hot and moist and served up on a delicious bun with some of the best tasting thin cut slaw I've had in a long time. Fries were hot and crispy and not greasy or soggy. Kitchen was spot on and helped keep the whole experience at 4 stars instead of 3. Once the bar situation with water tap is corrected it's a 5 star operation. read more

This is a great little brewery in the heart of Trumansburg. Definitely a local hangout. It was a very chill vibe. The staff was so super friendly and accommodating, explaining how to order drinks & food where to pick up food, etc. We went on a Thursday night, which is an open mic night although we did not stay for the open mic night that seemed to generate a lot of business and it was pretty busy. Super welcoming place with very good beer & food! Layout is good, bustling but not too crowded, tables are spaced nicely. Lots of fun board games available, and a shuffleboard table. We thought the beer was better than the food (mostly Mexican fare, tasty but lacking any spicy zing); especially great was the pilsner. The bartender & rest of the help as well were very friendly & easygoing. No table service, you order your food at the bar, which was fine & probably easier/more efficient in my opinion at a place this size. My fiancé and I came in upon hearing that Garrett's had started to serve food and we decided to order one of every taco (that's 10 tacos) and a quesadilla. One bite into our first taco, and we both said "Holy Shit!" simultaneously. Our faves were the fish tacos, pork tacos, veggie tacos, and the barbacoa quesadilla. I can't wait to enjoy again. And the best way to enjoy the tacos is with literally anyone of their beers, but I'm a big fan of their Drink the Juice IPA and their #almost pale ale. read more

Great up and coming spot. We had a six beer taster and were very impressed, particularly with the "Muy Caliente" smoked chocolate chipotle porter. The interior is very open and warm, beautiful wood and brick. Lots of seating and standing room. Not sure if they have any plans to add food, but the pizzeria is **right** next door, so you can go grab a pie and bring it over. Very tempted, and may end up buying a T-shirt or sweatshirt before leaving. read more

If you enjoy adequate beer and gratuitous F-bombs from the owner/bartender, this is the place for you. The space is really nice. Good space for families (which were present) and they allow you to bring pizza in from next door. The beer was good. The owner/bartender dropped no less than 20 F-bombs loud enough for the whole place to hear during his normal conversation with some patrons. I'm not a prude, and use the term myself, but why would he assume that nobody in the place would be offended? Including families with kids! Rude and arrogant in my opinion. Tried a flight of the 6 beers they currently offer. Liked every one of them. Was especially surprised by the lightest and most plain one, which still had a lot of flavor. The Red was the most tasty to me. Nice atmosphere, clean, well lit, cool architectural details. You can sit by the brew tanks which is fun. Nice friendly bartenders.
