When you are inside Sweet Memories it feels reminiscent to your grandmother's house. You walk inside and find yourself surrounded by homemade jams, food and kitchen items stacked neatly for sale. To your left and also near the kitchen is the seating area. The brunch menu is written across a big black board in the dining room with everything on that menu costing $7.99 each. They have a wide variety of different tea's to try. I did end up getting a cup of coffee the first time but it tasted pretty weak (I work at a coffee shop and I can be picky). My g/f got one of their teas and it was excellent. Each time I have gone I have ordered an omelet. When the omelet arrives in front of you it looks very fluffy with fresh greens sprinkled on your plate. I can't really remember all the ingredients except it had spinach with a cheese I had never tried before. It tasted amazing! The waitresses are all very friendly, quick and helpful. I can't wait to go back again. I strongly recommend calling ahead of time for reservations on Sunday. They have reserved a table for us at the last minute but there are only two of us and we were sitting right near the door entrance which wasn't all that fun. I love Sweet Memories! It is the perfect place for a girlfriends' lunch. The decor is fun and whimsical - wall sconces filled with candy adorn the walls, and the pretty Victorian home in which the restaurant is located makes you feel like you are sitting in someone's parlor. The lunches, all written on a chalkboard that is easily viewed from any point in the main dining room, are fantastic, especially the spinach salad. Everything is very fresh and made to order. Cost is similar to lunch at Panera, but fresher and a better setting. Absolutely fabulous desserts here - never had a bad one. Very reasonably priced as well. If you don't have room after lunch, take some home with you for later. There is also an impressive selection of candy for those of you with a really sweet tooth. They have a huge selection of flavored iced and hot teas, so if you are a tea person, you will be thrilled. Make sure to check out the super cute gift shop upstairs. Reservations recommended. Cupcake Review! I'm a huge cupcake hound, it's pretty much the only reason I continue to work out, so I can eat Cupcakes guilt free. While home visiting the family, I thought I'd pick up a batch from Sweet Memories for a little get together we were having. Each cupcake was completely unique, fresh and completely wonderful. The crowd favorite was the Hot Chocolate cupcake which had a lovely creme center that was a complete surprise. The shop itself is located in a quaint little home setting (i.e. it was a home, before it was converted into a restaurant bakery). It's brightly lit and can best be described as over-the-top kitschy! The atmosphere is very cute (a little feminine), our waitress was friendly, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The place is very small and reservations are recommended. Our party of 4 each choose a different lemonade flavor (mixed berry, strawberry, raspberry and blueberry) - you can't go wrong with any of them, they were all delicious. We all thought our Soup & Sandwich combos were excellent (Egg Salad on Flatbread, Tuna Salad in a Pita, Pumpkin soup and Garden Vegetable soup). The portions were more than enough and everyone was stuffed. Even though we were full, the desserts looked so good we had to try something. Stopped by here after work to pick up a few items for my girlfriend. Upon entering Sweet Memories I found the décor to be not quite my style but very fitting for girls to come for tea or to enjoy some sweets. Just felt a bit out of place. But after all I guess the service and product is what really matters. I was met by a girl behind the counter who was very pleasant and helpful. They had a huge selection of cookies, cakes and other sweets. I picked out a few items I thought my girlfriend would like. I felt for handcrafted sweets their prices were reasonable. Sweet Memories would be a great place for the ladies in your life but if your a guy and stop in you'll need to leave your man card at the door. Really cute spot to get breakfast. I wasnt expecting to need a reservation but they still attended us. Breakfest was great, i had the omelet with sweet potatoe and sausage. Sooo good and filling! I visited sweet memories and brought my ten year old sister with me. The sales lady upstairs was following us from room to room with an annoyed attitude and made it a very uncomfortable experience. She snapped at me when I twisted open a hand salve to smell it and when I saw it was used I rubbed my finger pad over it, thinking that it was a tester. While my sister was admiring the jewelry collection, the sales lady was glaring at her. I've never been profiled at a shop before and nor did I enjoy it. I had lunch here not too long ago for the first time. The ambiance was cute with lots to look at (makes time fly waiting for your food). My aunt and I both got the fresh brewed tea with fresh fruit on the bottom...delicious! There lunch menu lets you pick two mix and match items for a good price(you don't have). I got the spinach salad with strawberries, almonds, and balsamic dressing and also the chicken cordon bleu salad which had little cubes of swiss and ham in it. Both were delicious and super fresh! My aunt had a variation of tomato soup that was mmm mmm good. We split a giant chocolate chip cookie because after staring at the deserts the whole time we couldn't resist! This establishment is owned by a family. There were two daughters that would work at the register and serve the food. For many years they both seemed nice, but then only the short dark haired daughter took over both positions. I'm sure she was overworked, but she became incredible rude when my husband and I stopped in for lunch. She refused to wait on us ever and told us that our adult Autistic son was not allowed to come in either. Being overworked is no excuse for being rude, especially against those with a disability. This incident happened over a year ago when we were told that we could not be served at the restaurant, or order any take out food. Nothing had occurred that could have caused her to act this way. I am placing a review at this time because I am tired of how people treat with disabilities. I should have done with years ago because this worker is not familiar with the American Disability Act. Whoever made the comment above needs to mind their own business. I can bet that person does not have a loved one who is disabled and if they do, shame on you! read more

Incredibly rude, condescending service, consistent from the first phone call containing abrupt answers, to being ignored at the counter while phones were answered to watching the customer who arrived after we did get waited on ahead of us, to paying and not being thanked for the business, to snarky responses when asked about their gift shop hours. You'd never guess these people are running a customer service business. If you want to be treated like you're an imposition, then by all means come here for coffee. I was taken here on my birthday and it is the CUTEST! I ordered the blueberry lemonade as my drink (delish!) and the spinach and cheese quiche as my lunch with the vegetable soup! It was so so so yummy! After that I had a dessert the toffee chocolate cake which was AMAZING the cake was super moist and the icing was homemade and toffee bits were wonderful! Just went with my 7 year old daughter for brunch and sweets during a snowy day. The atmosphere was great, however the waitress (same one we had last year) made it slightly difficult for me to make our outing memorable. The snippiness of our young waitress was a real dampener. There were a few knats in our area that frequented our food. I made a note of them after paying (i was not trying to get a discount). The waitress replied that she received my note and that she sees no knats and made me feel like i was being untruthful. The well operated restaurant should be reminding their wait staff that they should make efforts to be a part of the guests sweet memories, even the young moms who just want to split a sandwich and some treats with thier little girl. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Lehigh Valley area. Whenever I visit family in the area, my sister and I ALWAYS go to Sweet Memories for Sunday brunch. They have a great menu that changes with every visit - it's always hard to chose what to order because there are sooooo many tempting choices. The best part is, I know that no matter what I finally choose, I'm gonna love it. Prices are super reasonable! There are great gifts to purchase from the store area and the bakery is to die for. I didn't know about Sweet Memories until a friend suggested it. We had a wonderful lunch. Food was great but the selection of desserts is really amazing! It was too hard to choose. Brought home a dozen cupcakes for my husband's employees they looked so great (and a few for at home). They were delicious! It does seem like a place for a "girls" lunch. I don't think I saw any men in there in the almost 2 hours we were there. The decor is a little "foofoo" for guys, but the lunch was great and I plan to return.
