I want to preface this review by saying that I never leave bad reviews, but I hope this helps just one person in the future to avoid this place at all costs. Thursday afternoon, there were probably 2 other customers other than myself in the salon. It was quite empty, so I know my lady wasn't rushing. Immediately I did not feel welcomed but initially I asked for a white tip in dip, and I wanted the straight tips because I like my nails a little bit longer and I don't like it when it curves. She didn't understand me at first but afterwards another lady found the tips I wanted and they said they have to charge me $5 (which is bizarre BTW, I get my nails done twice a month and at a ton of other places and have NEVER been charged for straight tips) to which I say okay that's fine. As she's doing my nails I notice immediately that this lady doesn't know what she's doing -- when you're doing the dip for white tips they have to manually dip the white part, she was on that part and on my 4th nail I knew I would've hated it, so I asked her to just remove it and give me like a solid color (less to mess up on) and I asked very politely & nicely. She gives me an attitude, proceeds to talk shit in Vietnamese (I'm fluent in Vietnamese and I guess with my mask on she couldn't tell, lol) . I ignore her this entire time and she's talking shit. Unfortunately for me, I rly wanted my nails done for a date I had. What I should have done was left, right then and there. For $55, (single color dip, I took my nails off before I got there, and I did square shape. WTF are these prices?!) and a $10 tip, I am so embarrassed of them. I would've been better off doing my nails on my own even though I have no idea how. They're all different lengths and my right hand's nails are all longer than my left hand's nails. The application is horrendous because in a lot of my nails you can see spots where there's no powder. It's bad. REALLY bad. Just go somewhere else, please. The salon itself is nice, it seemed clean but the staff are nasty, rude, and are 100% talking about you in Vietnamese. I would know. Don't make the same mistake I did in coming here.

Went and got a pedicure on Sunday. It was the deluxe one so I knew it would be about 45 minutes to an hour. Ends up being over 2 hours. That wasn't an issue. What was an issue was that when I woke up on Monday morning (yesterday) one of my toe nails' paint is chipped! And upon further inspection of my toes, they weren't done all that well. The technician was super sweet and she seemed like she was really trying to do a good job ... I just don't know what happened. It was gel nail polish ... but my toes just don't look all that great. I even tipped her pretty damn good.

Great Service! Loved my nails. It is my first time at this location came in after shopping at target. The staff is friendly and takes their time with your nails.

I was so exited to come to this place until I went inside and sat me down to wait half hour, which I didn't mind I had time. When it was my turn the lady asked me what shape and I asked for coffin, the lady ended up shaping them square and uneven. The gel is bulky and some of my nails are uneven and for the size she made them to thin. I could tell she was annoyed by the shape and did not care to fix them. It was originally going to be 75 but she gave me 5 back because she knew she didn't shape them right and really bad gel application.Horrible experience so dissapointed. She also apply the acrylic to close to my cuticles, I know they're going to lift. Just a waste of money, not going back.

Well, I don't think it could get worse than this. This is the worst set of acrylics I've ever seen in my life. Period. Completely outrageous prices and definitely overcharged. I don't even know where to start with my nails. Everybody was rude and had attitude to them and they were not even busy. It's only Tuesday evening, not Friday night. The picture shown was the furthest thing from the result. The nails are uneven, poorly shaped, sloppy, patchy, too short, and all around bad. It's nothing like requested and completely overcharged. Tried calling around 30 minutes later for a refund to be met with a rude and standoffish reply of "No refunds! It's a policy.". Do NOT come here.

Tried this place out for the first time. I have very little good things to report, unfortunately. Cleanliness- other than the tub liner and one of the foot scrubbers (they used two) nothing came out of a package and everything after being used on me, went back into their "spot" in the cart. They weren't set aside to go into the enclave or sprayed down. Perhaps they clean afterwards, but I can't say for sure and I didn't see anyone else who wrapped up before I was done cleaning their tools. The chair I sat in had stuff stuck to it too and even the menu could have used a wipe down. Gloves were used for the pedicure but not the manicure. Unfortunately you don't know what you have gotten into until you are IN the situation. Not much I could do at that point. Prices- a bit higher than average. For example, a shellac mani goes for around $28, it's $35 here. Quality- chunky and spotty paint job. See pics. Cuticles cut so low it was stung in two spots, I've never had that happen. Shellac nails were painted with a gap on top, which makes a refill needed faster- pet peeve. Scalding hot towels used to wrap legs, I love heat usually! Water temperature was inconsistent as well. Service was really superb and friendly, which makes writing this even harder of course. We didn't have the best communication, but we made due. White wine was served warm and was undrinkable. Chair worked well. Music was relaxing, it is as nice not to have TV noise. Massage- if you like your legs rubbed, not your feet, this is the place for you. I asked three times to skip my legs and that was all she would focus on. The massage was really long, due to a heated convo with the coworker next to her keeping her distracted. It didn't bother me, I ended up getting the better end of the deal, even if it wasn't my feet getting the love when badly needing rubbing. I get pedicures just for that, I can paint my own nails. I paid and tipped, but won't be back. I hate writing bad reviews, I really do. But if you are like me and you don't treat yourself often, I don't want you to feel slighted too. :-( Plus, potential health concerns aren't worth it. I am headed home to swim in some rubbing alcohol.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't be deceived by the interior. Sure it's nice - has to be for the lack of professionalism and skill. I got my nails done - wanted SNS with a simple oval shape. I wish I had taken a photo of how horrible the nails looked. When you looked at the side you could see the "fake nail", my nail, and then the polish. It was so embarrassing I had the technician take them off. She cut my nails so far down that I bled 3 times and left me to leave like the picture below. Even though I paid to have them removed! Never go here. Ever. For real. Just stop.

Should be zero stars. I went to get a full set of SNS nails. After an hour and 15 minutes, I left with all the tips bending!! The technician wanted to remove them all and start over. I gave the technician $10 and will never return. I am at a loss for words.

Very chic and spa like setting. Friendly staff, easy check in, clean and well worth the money. The nail and pedicure areas are separated, Austin is a great tech. She does really natural looking Brenda and great pedicures!

Just paid $73 (with tip) for mani/pedi and both hands have dents and bubbles on them (appears to be too many coats). Wish my nails looked better for my vacation. Water for pedicure was not warm. Beverage menu had decent selection, but I requested a coffee, coke, or mimosa and they couldn't deliver any of these unless I wanted the coke at room temp- only diet cokes were in the fridge. I value my time and money, and this unfortunately made me feel like I wasted both. People were very friendly and nice, but I believe in rating my experience as a whole and I didn't leave the salon feeling pampered and will probably be re-doing my nails myself before I go out of town.

My mom took me here for a girl's day before we headed out to my cousin's wedding. My nails were nothing like I asked except color. I asked them to be short and they gave me long nails that were so thick that it took me over THREE hours to get off at home. My pedicure was also astrocious as they literally rushed through it to give another a client my chair instead of putting her in a different one. Would not go here unless you feel like blowing $100 for a shitty fast job. read more

Quiet and soft-spoken, she listens well and is quickly responsive. I drive 90 minutes each way to have Jenny Luu help me care for my feet and make them pretty. If I could give zero stars I would. Nail tech worked on this one nail over & over for 30+ minutes! What should've took 40 minutes took two hours, & she CLEARLY saw my sandals were not right to let them dry, yet she still put them on instead of putting on the plastic foam ones. Sooo un happy I want to cry because I drove far to come to this salon. & to top it off their pricing is way too high! read more

Sweet Nails is...fine. Conveniently located next to Target on Ben White, so easy in and out and plenty of parking. The staff is nice but they seem understaffed. We had a long wait at 4:30 on a Monday afternoon, which seemed odd. Double the number of customers to employees. The salon is dated, and not all the massage chairs work. The polish is mostly knock-off brands you've never heard off with some OPI that's very old. I got the deluxe gel pedi and it was average. She took her time and did a fine job. No complaints about the pedi itself...until I saw the price. $62 just for the pedicure before tip!!! Maybe my normal salon is a hidden gem, but I usually pay $45 before tip...with better service all the way around. This place isn't bad in a pinch, but I will go out of my way to hit my regular spot next time. Will not be back. read more

My nail lady Wendy really went deep for the tail trimming and when someone jumps and says "ouch" please consider stopping and checking in with the customer. I finally had to say the words "stop, no more" after I noticed blood coming out. I have two infected big toes now. My spouse had a very pleasant treatment so make sure to communicate your needs and wants with the technician bc some are more aggressive than others. read more

Came in for the first time and the ladies were very kind. I was first directed to sit with my hands in acetone to remove my SNS, but was there for over 15 min as my nail tech took a massage walk in that came after me...I was patient and waited for her to come back. I came in for an SNS manicure after having a negative experience else wear. I showed them a picture of a translucent nude I wanted and they suggested some colors. When she dipped my nails in the powder everything seems fine however, once she put the top coat gloss, on one nail, you could see bubbles and powder (see image). I asked about it and she said she couldn't see it. Two other nails technicians came to see what I saw and another nail tech took over. All 3 were there talking about it and looking over whole the other one tried to fix it and I felt extremely uncomfortable for "complaining". She filed them down more and ended up making ridges instead of a rounded nail bed and then when she put the gloss it was the same problem. I really wanted to say how I still wasn't happy but felt like I couldn't do so or they would get upset and keep talking about me. I considered not tipping but I was being watched as I signed my receipt and felt pressured to tip. I was not happy with how my nails turned out or how uncomfortable I felt. I would appreciate a refund since I feel awkward returning. read more

This nail spot is by far my favorite in Austin! At so many places the quality of service doesn't match the quality of employees but here that is not the case! I am always welcomed with large smiles and welcoming gestures. Holly does such a great job at running this place as well! I go about every other week and they always remember me. All of the staff is so polite and kind, not to mention they care deeply about the client's satisfaction. Pedicures are a MUST here. I HIGHLY recommend getting one in addition to whatever other nail service you choose. Hot rocks and steaming towels in addition to a great massage makes for an amazing and relaxing experience. This place holds all qualities of an upscale nail salon and spa, with such affordable prices. You just can't beat it! I refer all my friends to come here. They are opening another location more North in Cedar Park so check them both out! read more

This is my second visit here and Jennifer did my pedicure both times! She is very meticulous about her work and does an awesome job! The wait is between 5-10 minutes, but once you are in the chair, they are working on you, not like some places where they put you in the bowl and forget about you! The salon is clean and quiet, so if you need a few moments to yourself, you can hear yourself think! I recommend Sweet Nails! Go in and as for Jennifer! read more

Extraordinary. The salon is beautiful and there are no harsh chemical smells at all throughout the entire time of my service. It was my first time there and Nikki was on time for my 2:30pm appointment on Black Friday, which is outstanding. There's free margaritas and snacks and their shop is clean, clean, clean! I was so satisfied with my nails, Nikki is amazing at designs and was able to custom create a design for me. JUST LOOK AT THEM. When she was done, two other customers took pictures of my hands! 5 stars! This will seem like a negative review but keep reading because they fixed the nails they messed up.. and they are perfect now. I went in wanting to try the chrome/hologram nails... the base (SNS nails + fake nail) was perfect.. I thought I had found my nails place because they were literally perfect! The coffin shape was exactly how I liked it and the thickness was just right! But then came the hologram "powder". After three attempts of applying it, it not working out and then filling my nails down to start over (THREE TIMES) I was about to cry and begged them to stop my fingers were burning and very sore from all the work being done to them. The final product was so upsetting I refused to take a picture of them, they were bumpy and misshaped the "hologram" was on like only half the nail and the other nails had sparkle paint of them to try and hide how bad they were.. I was told to just "not look at those nails". Also when I asked if the hologram powder was extra I was told "NOO". Turns out it was extra.. I was so upset I didn't even want to take their offer of fixing the nails for free. I did cave and agreed is be back Sunday (3days later) AND OMG thank the heavens I did because these are the most perfect nails I've ever had. I WILL be back just not as adventurous with my nail color choices. Went in there on a request of a friend, they did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'm 6'8 and have a 15 size foot that fits perfectly in the tubs for pedicures. Would recommend it anyone. read more

Sit back, relax, and let Leum, Cookie, and Moon take care of you! Some of you may not know this, but Mr. Smidgens is a bit of a germaphobe! I have been to a few nail salons and up until now, Milk and Honey has been my go to place. Sanitary is the only way I can relax and enjoy my pedicures. That being said, spending the day with my lovely niece and my beautiful GF we decided to find a place close by. We saw the reviews and I approved. Although I trust no one until I have experienced things first hand. The first thing I noticed is that the place did not smell like a nail salon. Proper ventilation, check! There were disposable plastic liners in all the tubs. Sanitary practices, check! The place was spotless and the way Moon massaged my feet and calves was intoxicating! Bang for your buck, check! Robynn and my niece also enjoyed their pedicures from Leum and Cookie. I would highly recommend SN&S after our wonderfully relaxing experience! Look at my feet! They are magnificent!!! read more

Not only did the main guy mess up my nails. He argued with me about the coat. Filed my nails down to fix the excess gel polish that tried and left them sloppy. The colors dont match. And the shapes are different. Easily the wost experience i have had in austin so far. Terrible service. And overpriced. To top it all off that use dirty tools that they pulled out of the dirty brush bin. And when I brought it up to management they acted like they couldn't understand what I was talking about. Like seriously -_- read more

My friend made reservations here two days prior for 6:30. I wasn't seen until 7:15 and she wasn't seen until 7:45. I got a gel manicure. The edges went up over the cuticle. You can see it in the picture I added. I had to go and get mine redone somewhere else. read more

Wonderful! They were available without an appointment and the service was great. My fiancé and I wanted a little Sunday pedicure pamper, so I called them 10 mins before showing up and they were happy to take us. They were very friendly, and we bonded over Vietnamese cuisine and our travels in Vietnam. Not only did we get a nice pedicure but also some Vietnamese restaurant recommendations! Will be making this place my regular nail spot. Thank you! read more

I HAVE NEVER GONE TO A WORSE ESTABLISHMENT. This was my second time here and it was somehow even worse than my first time. The bitch named Hai something overpriced me the first time i came and i had to try to explain that it wasn't what i asked for and that the sign showed a much lower amount. this time around i had to have a yelling argument for 30 minutes about how she was charging me 30$ more than what the menu clearly said. Two other workers had to be brought in and when we asked to talk to the manager they refused to call them. I am sure that they do this to all their customers and cannot believe they treat customers this way. read more

I have been coming to this place for years and I absolutely love it. Everyone is so so nice! I usually only get pedicures as I'm a chef and cannot have polish at work, so I always receive comments on how bad my nails look on my hands but I don't mind. They are terrible. They are thick and lumpy. The lady did not even use a uv light to set the dip. Let me repeat that she did NOT USE A UV LIGHT for the dip. She did not use a uv at all! Which is bizarre! My friend hates them so much that she started tearing them off in the car. I'm severely disappointed, my friend and I will not be returning. read more

I've been coming here for 8 months or so. I get a mani and pedi (both gel). I've have my nails done by almost everyone there and have seen the changes with the new owners. I really enjoy how they take care of everyone. They're almost always busy, but the short wait (if you walk in) is worth it!! Everyone is friendly and greets me when I walk in! Anthony has done the best work on my hands, with attention to detail on my cuticles and nail polish. I'll definitely be back in 2 weeks!! read more

WOW. I went for the first time bc all the good reviews. Let me tell ya. They did not disappoint. I asked for long ombré acrylic nails and that's exactly what I got. They really care about their customers and greeted everyone with a big smile! I loved the atmosphere and the work they did. Would 10/10 recommend. I will definitely be back to this salon! I wish I got the lady's name that did my nails but I didn't. I think it may have been Holly? Either way I am IN LOVE with my nails. Thank you ladies for the awesome job and kindness. read more

It is not a magic solution after X number of sessions to be totally hairless, it does require continued follow up. However, the results at ALS were apparent right away compared to the last place I was going, so they do have good equipment and technicians! Would recommend considering for your lasering needs.

How does this salon have 4 stars?? I waited 4 weeks until my angry emotions passed so that I can write this as fairly and diplomatically as possible. Nothing has changed; just don't go here. I went with my friend, our daughters (6 yrs) and my neighbor's daughter (9 yrs) for a fun girl's day outing. Kids regular mani advertised at $12, and adult $20. After we said we wanted regular manicures *multiple times*, (and once we no longer had the menu with prices to look at) we were aggressively talked into the gel polish instead of regular. We also added one flower for each kids' mani. We understood there would be an additional charge for these upgrades, but I was totally shocked and confused when my total was ONE HUNDRED FIVE DOLLARS for 2 kids and 1 adult mani, (my friend's $70 for her and her little). Our nails look fine, and the mani itself was super basic. The "massage" was rubbing lotion on hands and forearms (while wearing latex gloves, yuck) for about 30 seconds each. We expected an $80 bill plus tip at the most. It is absolutely absurd to assume someone (especially who was looking at the menu and asking about prices) would think it okay to upsell a $12 kid mani to a $30 kid mani (not teen, even tween, but 6 year olds!) without mentioning the outrageous price difference. We will never go here again and will warn others. This just was a sneaky, awful thing to do that put a big damper on our girl's day. Shame on them! read more

I took my daughter here for her first manicure as a mommy/daughter treat. We chose the $12 kid manicure and $20 adult manicure from the menu. When we were choosing polish, we were aggressively talked into trying gel polish instead. No one mentioned that the cost was more, and I assumed we would see a small up-charge at the end. We even decided to splurge and add a flower to one of my daughter's nails. The manicure was very basic with a 20 second hand massage at the end and no massage for my daughter - I just assumed that it wasn't included for kids - not a big deal. My nails are okay. One is noticeably lumpy, a few have rough edges and one cuticle is over-trimmed. Overall they are okay but not great. okay. My daughters nails are super cute. She was very happy. Then we went to pay. $70 before tip. SEVENTY dollars. Outrageous and ridiculous. I double checked the menu then and found they had upsold me from a $12 kid manicure to a $30 one plus the flower. 1st how can they ever justify that kind of increase for a polish that is easier for them? Second SERIOUSLY $18 more for gel polish is just insane. And that is something you tell a customer - if you talk someone into trying the gel polish, you should also let them know there is a SUBSTANTIAL (more than double) price change. Don't go here. Do not send other people here. They really took advantage of us. read more

I've been twice now where they've cut and filed my nails so short they hurt. The technician filed down to the quick of my nail bed and I said it hurt and she continued to try and do the same thing to the rest of my fingers. I don't think I'll ever come back. Not worth $60 if you can't use your hands without them hurting after. She also filed the old gel off instead of soaking it off like you're supposed to. I asked her repeatedly to stop and she just ignored me and went on doing it. She took the top layer of my nail off in the process so they're also sensitive to the touch because of that. Plus when she finished the manicure she used cuticle oil for the arm massage instead of lotion which had a very odd texture and left a gross film on my arms that I had to scrub to get off. All in all pretty poor experience, I've been coming for two years but this will be my last. read more

Four years ago I was in Sephora & one of the sales girls recognized me & knew I was a customer of Lynn. She told me where she was working & I got the information. I didn't try to locate her for a few years due to surgery & trying other nail places. I finally gave up & drove to her new location & was so happy to see her & received a huge welcoming hug!! She knows what a perfectionist I'am & always went above & beyond pleasing me. She's so SWEET & pleasant to be with! I've been looking for a quality nail salon that rivals my salon on the East Coast and hadn't found it in the 2.5 years I've lived here. With the new improvements to their location and work stations, Sweet Nails and Spa has filled that void! They also have later hours (open till 7:30 pm) which is a huge plus for anyone who needs to afterwork hours. Nikki was my Nail Tech and she was AMAZING! She was so easy to speak with, very consultative and explained the difference between gel manicure and dip manicure. She encouraged me to try dip manicure and I truly couldn't be more thankful. Holly has been my nail tech for several years at Barton Creek Day Spa, but when she let me know that she is now at Sweet Nails and Spa I did not hesitate to change locations. I knew that wherever Holly would be working would have to be a first class business, and my first visit there recently proved that. I got so much more for my money. When you get a pedicure you also get a sea salt scrub, hot towels and something I had never had A HOT STONE MESSAGE, which was wonderful!. I also got gel nails. I've been coming to this salon for the last 7 months even though there are numerous other salons closer to me that I've tried. Every technician I've tried there is awesome! Holly did an amazing job tonight & Dan has done my nails a couple of times, along with numerous other people. They are all great & pay so much attention to detail. My gel manicures last 5 weeks! There's a lot of chairs so I never wait (I do call ahead and occasionally walk in), but even with a short wait, Target and Starbucks is next door! They have a ton of nail colors to choose from and an easy sign in system for rewards. This is my go to nail salon. I highly recommend! Love the ladies at Sweet Nails. So welcoming and kind. They take excellent care of their customers. I highly recommend Maria! She does a fabulous job, and my nails look perfect every time I leave. Holly and the group of nail professionals in her salon are some of the best in the business. They are conscientious and caring. A great team. I have shopped around at many nail shops, had $50 pedicures but have been a regular at Sweet Nails now for several years. read more
