Local neighborhood nail salon! Received a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The owners are the friendliest and do such a great job, it's a good place if you're looking for a walk-in service. Reliable, fast, efficient, high quality nails, this is a place to visit.

I walked in and asked for my dip to be removed from my nails (they were looking scary). I was promptly seated and the dip was removed and my nails reshaped within 20 minutes. It reminded me of the nail shops of my childhood where soap operas or the news play while you get your nails done.

Friendly service with affordable prices and great quality of work. They have a wide selection of gel and powder dip colors and are always able to color match or recreate the designs I show them. I usually get a powder dip and it can last over a month if I wanted to stretch it for that long. Definitely give them a try if you're looking for a place to get your mani/pedi!

7/19 1:45pm - I walk in for a wax and there is one man and one woman sitting inside without any customers. I ask if they do leg waxing and they both said no waxing. If they don't wax then why do they have so many signs saying they do? Makes me wonder if they just didn't want to serve me. I definitely wasted my gas coming here.

Affordable prices, quick service, and fantastic quality! This is my new go to nail salon. The ambiance isn't the best but it's better than going to a high end nail salon and not liking the quality or worse, having them ruin your nails. The husband and wife duo are super friendly and give great recommendations on color and shape.

Just wanted my gel off and I walked in. The reception guy did my nail first because the nailtech (his mom?) was busy. He did it so hard that he left me this skin peeling. It hurts! but couldn't say at that moment... but he did it so hard. Are you supposed to file customers' nail really really hard?? (like REALLY)

This place is great!! I love how the ladies are so honest and transparent with what you want, and are very meticulous in their work. Theyre very good at shaping nails, and making sure that it's perfect. I like that they drill and file underneath the nail tips after applying the acrylic powder to get rid of any dried acrylic clumps that get caught underneath. Its such a pet peeve of mine when its just left behind and i have to deal with knowing theres a lump there under my nail. Design wise they are also very detailed and transparent as well. The blue on my left hand got messed up while being painted and she fixed it for me immediately, and when drawing the stripes she couldnt get it just right, so Ivy (i think?) came over and did it to make sure it was perfect. Overall great experience, super kind ladies, definitely will be coming back again!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Today was my 1st time ever going to Sweet Paradise nail salon. I called and made an appointment with Ivy however when i got there Ivy had another lady named Dawn do my nails. I was worried because all the reviews for acrylic nails mention Ivy. I just needed a fill and 1 nail fixed so i didn't want to drive to my nail salon in Costa Mesa but I'm very picky with my nails so i always research before i go to a new shop. I'm very happy with my nails. Dawn did a great job. She is new to this shop but i can tell she has been doing nails for many years. She was fast yet detail oriented and my nails are perfect. I would say the establishment should have 2 $$ signs. They aren't overly pricey but they aren't cheap. The service i got was great so i would return. Ask for Dawn, she's sweet and does and great job. One of my nails broke the same day and i was charged $4 to have it repaired. It should have been free. My 5 star turned into 3.5

Came to this salon as it's right next to work. I called in advance and was seen within five minutes. Cuticle trimming was very good. I asked her not to buff the top of nails and she was cooperative with that. Things started to take a negative turn when she started filing my nails down. She was somewhat rough when filing down my nails. As she filed them down she went back and forth with the nail file and did not go back in the same direction in the end. The tips of my nails felt brittle and I will probably chip within a week because of that. She did not notice this. Lastly, I asked for them to be squared down and a majority of them appear crooked Next for the color application she asked me to pay first as to not mess up the color which I felt happy that she had thought about. She had only applied two coats but the polish was nowhere near opaque as it should be and I asked her to apply another coat which caught her off guard. Next, noticeable bubbling formed on a few of my nails and she noticed as well as she checked them but made no attempt at correcting them. Nice whole in the wall salon, but I was dissatisfied with my service

I found this little gem through Yelp. I was in need of a mani-pedi for a party tonight. Ivy did my gel-dipped mani. Tina did my spa pedi. These ladies are AWESOME!! It was my first time getting the gel dip. I wanted to give it a try. I love how my nails turned out. Total was $57- spa pedicure with callous removal, gel-dipped manicure. Great service. I was a walk-in & was taken care of immediately. Thank you!

After a shopping trip to Walmart last weekend, I decided to hit up Sweet Paradise Nails to get my current gel manicure removed, and get a new one. I called to make an appointment, and the lady asked what I wanted, so I said the aforementioned, and that was that. I arrived in the plaza (had never been over there before) and there was plenty of parking. I walked inside, and the first thing I noticed was how small/dim it was. It's a very tiny salon with not much room, but at least 3-4 pedicure stations and about 4 manicure stations. I was welcomed quickly, and was immediately sat down to get my gel removed by a very young woman who I only presumed to be in high school or something, who was just kickin' it in the salon with her parents or aunts. She was a little rough with the removal and grazed my skin more than twice. She got some cotton and dabbed some alcohol on it and stuck it to my finger and put it inside one of those caps. Problem with that was that there was a lot of alcohol and I could feel it running down my forearm. I ended up just adjusting and sitting with my hands facing downwards instead of flat on the table. After that got removed, I then got switched to another lady. She took off all my gel polish. She was really nice and kind and asked me some questions about my life, asked me my name, etc. I was having a good time by then. Then, she took out the nail clippers and just started clipping all of my nails without me asking her to or having a discussion about the length. Then she asked me "what shape I wanted," and I was kinda confused because all my nails were gone but i said square, and she ended up taking out the plastic/fake nails. I told her that wasn't want I wanted, and she was like "OH. You want another gel manicure? Ahhhhhh" and then she told me to move to another table. So I apologized several times, grabbed my stuff, and moved to the third table. I told the lady here what I wanted, and she was by far the nicest lady that day. She was fast, efficient, and helped me choose my design. I ended up with pink nails with a silver/gold ombre. It wasn't the neatest/prettiest I've had before, but it still looks good. It's been 1 week since I've gotten it, and there are two chips on my right hand which is a bummer, but left hand is good as new. She even gave me a short little arm massage when she was done with my nails. Overall, kind of a weird experience. There is zero to little ambiance in the store--chipped paint, exposed circuits, weird lighting, etc. I've never had to transfer to 3 diff people either. Not the greatest, but certainly not the worst.

Sweet paradise nails has been my nails place for three years and I never leave disappointed! Every employee makes sure you're satisfied with their work before leaving the salon. Every one is very nice and makes you feel completely comfortable! TIPS are in cash so hit the ATM before coming. They recently remodeled so, it looks very nice in there and they're up to date with the modern nail techniques. Try it out I'm sure you won't regret it!! read more

Horrible! I told them what I wanted and they kept insisting that I get gel when I didn't want it. Then the shape on my nails are horrible!!! I asked for long coffin and I didn't get that. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. & then the way they left my nails, just look at the pictures. They also left extra powder underneath my nail. Go somewhere else!! read more

I've came here for gel manicures before, twice to be exact. Both times they did a great, awesome job! Great service. This time around, I FINALLY came in for a pedicure. I don't trust just anyone with my feet. I get ingrown toe nails so I also need someone who can cut it without hurting me. Tina did my toes, she did my manicure the first time. I give her two high fives! She did awesome on my toes! Didn't hurt me, cut my toe nails right, did the lemon scrub pedicure. I found my new person to do my toes. The space is small but don't let that fool you. They fit people in, they are hard working and always making sure you like what you are paying for. Come in and give this place a try. First time coming here on a Saturday and this place was great. An did my pedicure with a lemon salt scrub and callus removal/treatment for $22 while Ivy did my french gel manicure for $20. A serious deal if you ask me. For my preference, I brought my own tools and OPI polish (for my pedi) that I wanted them to use and they were fine with accommodating what I wanted. No questions asked. These ladies were so professional and their work was perfection. Some other places like to rush you out but the ladies at Sweet Paradise Nails definitely took just the right amount of time that you fill pampered. Definitely quality work and I will definitely return. Pros: Clean Nail techs were professional and skilled -precise and smooth polish application -gentle cuticle trimming -gentle yet effective callus removal for pedicures (no sensitivity after) -gave tips on how to care for nails and skin at home Very minimal wait time Cons: Though the salon definitely had a range of polish options (high and mid end), it would be great if they expanded their color options a bit more. My nails chipped just FOUR days after my gel manicure. (See my photo I posted) I'm not a happy camper and will NOT be returning. Not only did the nail polish chip/peel so soon after it was applied, but I was cut during the cuticle portion and the gal didn't use the correct color on my ring finger nails. I spent $40 total that day and feel completely ripped off. (I got a regular pedicure with a scrub, too.) The only positive thing I can say about my experience was my technician had a calm & kind disposition/attitude. The shop looked run down, aside from the fancy spa chairs & flat screen TV. The UV light contraption I had to stick my hands in, felt like it was either burning or shocking me... Might be time for a new one? read more

Came in to see Ivy because I'm trying to grow my nails out. I was pleased that she soaked my nails with acetone & scraped off the gel instead of using the nail drill. It's a little more work but my nails are already thin so I feel like the nail drill makes them even thinner. She scraped off the gel so gently and reshaped my nails beautifully. She's very detail oriented which I loved! She made sure every nail was perfect. When she was painting them, she checked the sides to assure she didn't miss any sides. Ivy also picked out the color for me, which I fell in love with.. It convinced me to also get a pedicure to change my toe gel color. She rubbed real lemon on my toes and gave me a nice little massage. Can't wait to see my fingernails grow here. $45 (before tip) for the gel color change & gel pedicure. :) thanks Ivy!! read more

Just came here today with my mom. I got a gel manicure and my mom got a spa pedicure. The ladies here are very friendly and careful while painting our nails. They did a very good job! I plan on coming back again, and would highly recommend this nail salon to others. The prices are reasonable for the great quality that they give. **Update: it's been 1.5 weeks since I got my gel manicure, and it hasn't chipped at all. My nails still look amazing :) read more

I don't usually write reviews, but today I had too! This place sucks!!!! I just moved down here and a lot of people where recommending me this place. I checked it out and I don't even get greeted. The lady at the front was like" what do you want" very rude tone. I asked her if she does design and she said no. (Again in a very rude tone) What kind of nail salon doesn't do designs?!!!?? I was in the area and stopped in. I was great by Van and Johnny. They were bit very friendly. My temperature was checked at the door and was asked to wash my hands before sitting down. Place was very clean. Van took her time and did an excellent job. Johnny was very hospitable and offer me a bottle of water. The price for a pedicure was very reasonable. I will definitely come back. I've visited this salon twice. First time was for a gel manicure and the second time was for a pedicure. It is my opinion that this salon is not walk-in friendly as both times there were only two tech working, and I was asked to come back in an hour. The gel manicure chipped the next day. While I just got the pedicure done today, the tech cut my foot with the file while scrubbing the callous and did not believe me until it started bleeding. read more

I've been on the hunt for a good nail shop in the Long Beach/Lakewood area for FOREVER. I've tried alot of the nail salons in the area, and many of them just didn't meet my standards as far as cleanliness and the quality of the nail services. I was honestly blessed the day I was on Yelp and camp across Sweet Paradise Nails! After reading all the reviews, I decided to make an appointment with Ivy, as many people recommended her. One of the best decisions I've ever made! I've only been going to her for a little over 2 months now but I haven't ever had a nail tech that actually takes her time and does an amazing job! They allowed me to walk-in 15 mins before closing and the nail stylist stayed and worked on my pedi for an hour from that point. I'm so grateful for that because it was an emergency as I had a wedding to attend the following day and didn't have time to wait until then to get my nails done. She also did a great job on my gel pedicure! The best part was she didn't rush any of the steps at all. She took her sweet time taking care of me despite the fact that she was staying way past closing time. Thank you again! read more

Originally, I was going to get a basic mani-pedi since I've never been here before. My mom and I got an ombre powder mani at the last salon we went to. We both hated the extremely thick end result. Trimming my nails as they grew out was impossible and painful due to the thickness. When my mom went back a couple of weeks later, she said the removal process was painful when they "pulled" the remaining polish off and sanded the top down too much. That scared me so I let it all grow out before looking for another salon. As a result I found Sweet Paradise Nails (SPN). I was assured that the dipping powder that they applied was not thick and the removal process they do isn't like what my mom experienced. I decided to give it a try because I was able to see one of their regular client's nails with the powder. It was natural and beautiful. I decided to try the dipping powder again because this client raved about SPN's work. I'm thankful that I did. My nails are beautiful even after two weeks. I chose a light, neutral color that isn't as noticeable when it grows out. My mom went to SPN a week and a half after me (I was surprised that they remembered me after she showed them a picture of my nails) and she loves her nails too. Mom was pleased that the removal process wasn't harsh or painful like she experienced at the other salon. We've felt that most salons are similar. However, SPN has made us change our minds. Sweet Paradise Nails stands out above all the other salons we've been to in quality and meticulous care they demonstrate in their work. I also appreciate that they care about their customers. It shows in how well they treat everyone, how well they know their repeat clients that stopped by when I was there, and how hard they're working to do an excellent job. Thank you, Sweet Paradise! My favorite nail spot in town! The girls here are friendly and really take care of your finger nails and toes. My gel manicure looked and felt great and my pedicure was even better! This is the first nail salon that I have been to where they really take their time and make sure you're happy with your service. Great prices and their massage chairs are great too! read more

CASH TIP ONLY!! Excellent Service, Excellent Quality, no rushing, no over selling, and the sweetest, most polite staff you will ever experience! It doesn't matter who does your nails, guaranteed best long lasting manicure! The color selection and service Options for both Hands & Feet is truly exceptional. I have never received the number of compliments on my nails than with this Salon. Prices are reasonable, those who are patient and do a little wandering in the nearby shops while awaiting an opening are well taken care of at this Salon! Somehow this makes the whole experience of a Nail Spa all the more lovely. This Salon is worth your time and money. I read more

Always great! I'm always happy with my nails. Nice ladies, a bit run down but has really great prices. I got a pedicure with an additional $5 for a foot scrub, and a gel manicure for $42 with $10 tip. This place is definitely my go to when I'm on a budget. TERRIBLE service don't even bother making an appointment. Made an appt for 5pm well ahead of time. I got there right on time and they didn't start until 530 and that was AFTER I advised them I had a flight to catch and that I would be late if they didn't start. Needless to say, this was terrible customer service with poor communication. I ended up walking out even after I drove 20 minutes out of my way to come here. read more

I used to come here and today i got stuck in traffic in anaheim knowing i was 20 min out they call me to come before i told them i was 20 min out made me waste gas just so when i got here to come back not coming back . they could've sat me and started with someone else but they decided not to . read more

Dirty little nail salon. The place does not appear to be cleaned very much. I had a scheduled appointment with Dawn when I got there I was told she doesn't work there anymore. After they basically block the door and 4 people came at me asking me to allow them to do my nails regrettably I let them. I was so disappointed with the job they did I was at another shop getting a new set. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Today was my first day here. I decided to try it out because it was very close to my work and the Yelp reviews were pretty good. It is a very small salon. Only 5 Spa Pedicure chairs and 3 tables for nails, although they can do your nails while your get your pedi. The first thing I noticed was how nice and friendly everyone was. I came at 5pm on a Friday, and there was no wait. I only needed a pedi, so they sat me in one of the spa chairs immediately. They were very attentive and took their time. They also include a sugar scrub with their pedi's, which was amazing! Nice touch. I am very pleased. I'll definitely come back! Note: I hardly ever carry cash but I'm glad I did today. They have a sign that says they'd appreciate tips in cash versus adding on card. read more

I'm totally digging my gel nails. I decided to give this place a try after reading their yelp reviews. It is a small spa with 4 massage chairs for pedicures and massages. They offer manicures, pedicures, massages and waxing. They have a good selection of colors! Vickie did my manicure and she was exactly what I wanted: quick, professional and flawless. It took less than 30 minutes for her to to do my manicure and to finish my gel nails with 3 coats. This is perfect for someone who is on the go! I had Vicki (sp?) as my stylist and I LOVE her. She is so talented! I came in with a particular design (fashioned after The Weeknd....don't judge me) and she did a PERFECT job. I am so in love with my nails and it's been two weeks since I had them done. And she was super fun to talk to! I felt like we'd known each other forever. Hey ladies. I'm thinking of going next week for a gel manicure and if I like it I want to go every 2 weeks afterwards. Does the gel polish actually last and stay nice for a week and a half?

I can only speak for myself but yes. I am constantly washing my hands at work and continue cleaning around my house and I’ve had my gel manicure stay the same.

Lacks professionalism. I left with wax, baby powder, and still portions of my leg with hair on it (like literally missed my whole inner thigh and outer thigh). I walked out of the room and told her I still had wax on me and she just apologized and didn't take me back into the room to remove it. Wax all over the trash bins, floors dirty, and baseboards with who knows what all over. To add onto that, when it was time for me to turn over on my stomach, there was still wax on my leg which ripped the paper lining I was laying on & I could see old blood stains on the cloth under. At that moment, I seriously should have walked out and left. I still left a tip but needs serious improvement as I expected more from a service that has 4.8 stars on Yelp. Avoid if you value cleanliness, etiquette, and overall have high expectations. Will be returning back to my previous waxer.

There's plenty of parking in front of the shops, but can easily fill up during peak hours--plan to come in early so you have ample time to park. Also, there's a 5 minute grace period where if you're late, you may lose your appointment or part of it. There's a variety of services offered from skincare to what they're known for, hair removal via sugaring. All staff are trained and certified for all services they provide and are the sweetest. They make you feel welcome and ensure you're comfortable from checking in to the end of the service. I've been getting a variety of sugaring services from multiple team members, and I've had great experiences with each of them. If you're looking to start your sugaring journey, I highly recommend this place!

My visits to European Wax Center (EWC) are quite rare, like once every year or maybe even two. I've…read morenoticed once per year, they always put out a promo where you can get 50% off a new service, where "new service" is defined as any service that you have not received within the past 12 months. In this most recent case, I hadn't gone in two years, so really, any service would have been considered "new" to me. I went with the Brazilian Wax, which I did two years ago, and also tacked on an eyebrow wax because when in Rome. Or somewhere else in Europe I suppose? lol There are only two wax specialists at the Long Beach Towne Center location who can do Brazilian Wax on men: Millie and Brianne. I actually had Millie as my waxing specialist on a visit back in 2022, and while I thought she was good enough for me to recommend to others, I wanted to see how Brianne would compare. Immediately after I made my appointment, I gave them a call to see if the 50% off could be applied to the Brazilian Wax. Terrace (sp?) over the phone fielded my call and, initially, stated that since I had gotten the Brazilian Wax before, I couldn't use the 50% off on that. However, she immediately retracted her statement before I could say something when she realized that my last Brazilian Wax was way more than 12 months ago. I had forgotten about this until the evening before, but there are some check-in forms you need to fill out prior to your arrival, or if you neglected to do so, I'm sure they would have asked you to fill them out before your appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time and spent the next 10 minutes exploring the adjacent businesses. When I came in, Aaliyah at the front desk greeted me by name. What?! I suppose it's because there aren't too many male customers of European Wax Center, but that was kind of cool, yet also a little creepy lol. It took 5 to 10 minutes before Brianne called me back into one of the rooms. I personally would have preferred to do the eyebrow wax first since that seemed to be easier, but she said we were going to do the Brazilian Wax first instead. I had the Brazilian Wax done a couple of times before, so I kind of knew what to expect, but man, it still hurt, even though I was expecting it to hurt a little more. Brianne wasn't bad, but I didn't really get good vibes from her since her demeanor was quite sassy during my appointment. She also didn't really give me any warning as to when she would pull the wax off my skin, and when she was doing my eyebrow wax, I legit thought she was going to poke one of my eyes despite her telling me to relax my eyes. But nevertheless, she did a good job of waxing. Before she took me back to the lobby, she reminded me that I shouldn't exfoliate for a couple of days after my wax, and she also asked if I'd like to purchase any products prior to leaving, to which I declined. When I came back to the front to pay for my services, I was about to put my card into the reader, but Aaliyah said they had my card on file, so I didn't even need to take my card out of my wallet. Interesting, but I also hope they don't charge me for something I didn't approve beforehand. Actually, they did schedule an appointment for exactly four weeks later at the exact same time at the exact same location. Now that, I would not approve since this was my rare Wednesday afternoon off, and with how my schedule has been this year, I doubt I would have been able to make it, in time at least. So I simply told Aaliyah to cancel since I myself wouldn't even know when would be the next available time, though truthfully, I was never planning to go for the remainder of the year unless I get another discount lol. Let's face it, waxing is pretty pricey, but a good experience to try if you haven't! I left, but then returned shortly when I noticed I didn't get an email receipt that confirmed my payment. I asked Aaliyah, and she was gracious enough to send not one, but two copies of my email receipt; they just came in rather late. The day after my appointment, I received an email from EWC giving some tips on what to do and what not to do after the appointment. Besides the unauthorized future appointment, which I did confirm online was no longer booked, the receptionists at the front desk deserve 5 stars. But neither Millie nor Brianne impressed me enough to want to do a Brazilian Wax here again, unless they hire a different wax specialist by next year. I think 4 stars is fair, but I would likely choose a different location next time.
