I've lived down the street from this shop for years. Since 2007 to be exact. I went to this shop when I first moved here. After maybe 4 times of going here.. I decided I hated it and never went back, always looked for farther nail salons rather than walking to this corner salon. I have no been back since 2008. My sister started going here and loved it, said it was under new ownership/management and boasted about the cleanliness and service. After 14 years of never wanting to come back here, I went back to spend quality time with my sis here and get our nails done. I suck at keeping my nails in good condition. Many females can keep their nails good for a month plus! Not me. I break mine within the week and I know that about myself. And have learned to life with it. But for the 1st time my nails lasted 3 weeks.. could've probably went longer but I got a fill when my sister went to get her nails done again. Everything about this shop is great ! A1!!! The customer service, the cleanliness! Lauren and Andy are so great. The vibe between the staff and the customers Is soo positive and welcoming. Because the staff really shows they care about the customers and they engage with the customers. There were customers staying for 30 mins after their nails were done and paid for .. just to keep chatting!!! That is the type of energetic vibe they have here!! With the new ownership comes my new judgement and view on this place. I will not go to any other nail shop. This is now my nail shop! Permanently! read more

BUT upon sitting down and them getting started I began to see ROACHES. not one, not twice but three times! I pointed it out each time and the only reason why I didn't make a bigger scene is because there was a mom and her little girl enjoying their spa day. First off, I'm a guy...a guitar player. I always get my right index finger done up before a gig so I don't "wear through" my own thin fingernail and bleed all over the strings. I've been here twice. First time was great. Young asian man, nice chat $5 including tip (which is what it usually costs wherever I go). Today I got this wiley old grandma pirate who charged me 10$ for one finger. I asked the lady sitting next to me how much it was to get all ten fingers and she said $20. Old lady offered a 'diamond coat' and I asked "How much?". "Free", came the reply from the coworker sitting next to her. Old lady pirate did do a good job, but then announced a $7 charge at the end of the show. I dropped a ten on the towel and she simply said "Thank you....". Not, "let me get you change" or "I just pirated your honky @ss". So bà essentially ripped me off for $5.....a small victory for grannie, especially when you consider that SOME of you nice ladies out there may think this reflects poorly on the ethics of "Pro Nails and Spa" and think twice about coming here. read more

If I could. I would rate them with 10 stars.. every single time I get my nails done by them, I always get several compliments everyday.. and they last so long on me.. at least 3 weeks!! And I love my nails every time!! They have never disappointed me.. I have tried so many nail shops in Lakewood/ Long Beach area, and as soon as I tried this spot under Laurens ownership, it is theee best nail shop I have been to by far!! And they are very clean!! Worst pedicure of my life today. She spilled and left the callous treatment liquid on the skin of the top of my big toe and burnt the skin so badly I now have scabs and rash. Also she didn't allow the polish to dry between layers resulting in sticky tacky wet polish HOURS later. Taking everything off and starting again. What a waste of money! She took an hour and still did a terrible job and injured my foot! read more

Update from the last time I was here.... I came here for a pedicure and eye brow wax. The crew remains masked and the plexiglass is still in place. Unfortunately I did not see an individual wiping seats down after use. I did notice the autoclave and tools pulled out packaged/sealed. Makes me feel very comfortable and safe. I have NEVER been disappointed with my nails, and I always get sooooo many compliments and tell people to come here. Cindy does an AMAZING ombre but she does amazing in general. My nails don't lift at all and there have been times it takes me over a week to get back for a fill but they stay on strong. Love this place. read more

I understand many salons do this, but she was rough with it and one of my nails bled. She told me to tell her if it hurt and when I told her once that it did, she just keep doing the same thing. I understand no salon wants to only take off acrylics for someone without a mani or pedi (less money made) but if she did a decent job I would've actually come back today. read more

Staff wear masks and also have plexi glass as barriers in each station. They definitely follow guidelines. The reason I'm given them one star is because I did pay $20 for my pedicure and it was not worth it, she didn't cut my nails right and she got upset once I told her that I didn't want the scrap for my feet, so after that she decided to do very bad on my nails, the nail polish was really Liquid, so after I left my nails got messed up I went back the next morning to ask them if they were able to fix the nail? which he said yes but to come back later right now I'm busy, he knows I had an event that day !! Really upset and sad about my nails. I got a full set and pedicure. I was looking to relax and get a nice job done while both my toddler and baby were at school and baby sat. (I never can get away) but the one time I do, I get a really bad job done. Really fast and sloppy job for my full set. And my toes, I got burned three times by towels/water/and stones. She set the timer for 10 mins but kept walking away and doing things during the massage and then she painted them so bad and I had to come home and redo them. Paid so much money for it and it was just so bad. And I can't go back to redo them, so I'm just really sad. They were so nice and I didn't want to bother them.
