The ice cream was outstanding! We had the honey cinnamon and end of the sun and they were both great, five stars for sure, but we also got a huckleberry shake, and it was awful, 2 stars, it was just ice cream plus milk. The flavor was so mild that it tasted like the milk leftover when you have fruit loops. I was so sad. I love huckleberry Shakes and this one is not the place to get one. My first job in life was at Baskin-Robbins. Three summers of hell. I swore off ice cream for the rest of my life after that job. Fast forward 20 odd years later and Sweet Peaks opens in Whitefish. During some random evening of intense peer pressure I finally succumb and decided to try it. O.M.F.G. Best. Ice. Cream. Evar! No, seriously. Now I'm addicted and can't stop. Salty Caramel is my favorite, but they constantly have new flavors... crazy flavors... flavors that you see on their chalkboard and gag a little thinking about what a disgusting combination that sounds like only to find it was the best damn taste explosion your mouth has ever experienced. They are ice cream making wizards I tell you. And the prices are embarrassingly low. Free tasters too so you can confirm which funky flavor tickles your fancy the most. There can be long lines on a hot summer night, but they move very quickly so you don't have to wait long at all for your tasty treat. Locals tip... during Farmer's Market Tuesdays go to the main shop as there will be no one there 'cause they're all waiting in line at the market! Go. Do it. Ice cream was average but the real downer was the size of the scoops... for $5 I expected more than 6 bites of ice cream. Maybe this is an isolated instance but I felt robbed. I eat a lot of ice cream, and I've had it across the country from Seattle to New York, and California to Florida, plus a two week Gelato-thon in northern Italy. My home town, Seattle, has had somewhat of an ice cream renaissance the last couple of years, with no less than 4 local small batch ice cream shops in the area, all turning out a great treat. When I say that this place has world class ice cream offerings, I mean that if I could get ice cream anywhere in the world right now, my first stop would be here. They offer both classic and unique seasonal flavors, such as Chocolate chip and Lemon Dill. In the little time I had in the area I was able to try the, peanut butter fudge (my favorite), chocolate [chip] love, coconut, and huckleberry, plus a lot of samples. Also, they have great waffle cones, with a little added spice, so rather than just being a container for the ice cream, it's a treat of it's own adding a bit of unique flavor to the package. When you add to all of the this the fact that the ice cream is down right cheap compared to what it would get in a larger city, just WOW. If you pass through white fish and don't make a stop here you are missing out on one of the great food experiences in the world. read more

We were visiting the area from LA and we're told this was the best ice cream with lines usually down the street, so we decided to visit. The servers were very nice and friendly, cheerfully give out samples, and they have a lot of unique flavors. They were out of a couple flavors including chocolate (how can you run out of chocolate??!) However, every one we sampled seemed very mildly flavored, more milky/creamy with hints of flavor. Perhaps we're too accustomed to the bold flavors at Cold Stone and Baskin-Robbins, but I guess that's what we prefer. read more

This is a cute little local chain ice cream shop. We had three scoops - Orange cardamom, flathead cherry chocolate, and honey cinnamon. The orange and honey were the best. They have the classic flavors year round like cupcake, salty caramel, coffee traders espresso, and then they do some ridiculous stuff like bear tracks-salty caramel ice cream with chocolate chip cookies and fudge swirl , the nutty Irishman, chai, London fog, and beet sorbet!?
