If you want the slowest, most unsanitary service ever than this is the place for you. Waited in line for a very long time, even though there were only two people in front of us. Watched a hardworking young kid train a frazzled young girl while three more mature employees kept appearing and then leaving. They finally all came in and started making drinks, without washing their hands. I watched the guy put powder in a cup and then add tap water to it. I watched this guy, who had not washed his hands, stick his hand in the ice bucket. Took one taste of these crazy sweet- powdered drinks of questionable sanitation and we threw both drinks away. read more

My son ordered a crepe and at the end he noticed something hard in his mouth. He spit put hard pieces of what looked like black plastic. I also noticed another chunk of black of something cooked into his crepe. I brought it back to the front and showed the staff. They said it was probably burnt butter... but it was hard and snapped and had texture in it. They said this is found in all of their products and is normal. I asked for a refund. They said no to both because my son had finished most. This is true, but he didn't find it until the end and wasn't able able to finish his crepe. I asked to speak to a manager and apparently I was. He repeated he would not refund our food or make it right because most of the product was eaten AND that hard black prices are a normal part of their product. Ordered a Avocado Boba, the Boba was hard, the flavor was bland and I was not allowed a refund after asking for one. Apparently the managers are not staffed at all time so you can't get your money back. Kenia was just doing her job today but unfortunately she couldn't fix her mistake without "charging me for another". HA! Like I'd give this place a second after giving me hard Boba. No thanks. I will take my craving to the other end of the Rouge Valley Mall for a Boba tea on a nice spring day. Some of the "tea" isn't tea, it's powder containing cow milk protein, labeled "dairy-free." I expected most of the Sweet Satisfaction menu to be off-limits to me as a dairy-sensitive person, because duh. That's cool. My dietary issues aren't their problem. Nonetheless, I found it very disappointing not to be able to trust the tea. The coconut milk option is kinda pointless when the tea powder inherently contains cow milk. I confirmed the classic boba milk tea is one such involuntary cow milk source, and the shelf of powders in the shop implies there are plenty more. Dairy-sensitives and vegans, beware all the tea. I did order the Earl Grey milk tea with coconut milk because they said the tea part is actual tea leaves steeped in water. It was okie dokie, not bad but also not great. Decent mouthfeel, pleasant but weak flavor, reasonably refreshing. Might do again if I'm in the mall for other reasons but wouldn't go out of my way just to visit Sweet Satisfaction. I'm sure it's better if you can and do digest cow milk, but even so don't expect much if real tea is what you're after. The young man working the register was super nice and very helpful though! I really appreciate the time he spent answering my questions and looking at ingredients for me. I have no problems with the service I received, only with the tea ingredients. Not satisfied. I am a person who would be very ill if I got the COVID-19 virus so this freaking freaked me out. I ordered my absolute favorite flavor of the rolled ice cream. I went to go sit down and for some reason it took them about 7 minutes to make it even though it was dead, and they didn't even wash their hands, but you know it was fine I just really wanted my ice cream. After they called me over for it they had no gloves on or hair nets and the lady there coughed in her hands and then gave me the spoon. GROSS.
