If you don't want to pick your own they do have pre bagged apples too in the store. They also have baked good treats and candy covered apples. The prices are very reasonable compared to other orchards more toward Southern Maine. It's a no frills type of place, but who needs that when you just want a bag of apples. The tractor ride was entertaining for our nephew. It can get a little chilly and "exhaust fumey" but it's a fun tradition. Parking can get a little tricky since it relies on people to have good spacial awareness. LOL Oh well, trips there shouldn't take you more than an hour. The owner greeted us, explained the prices and gave some picking suggestions. He was very pleasant. Raspberries were scarce at this point in the season but blueberries were plentiful on the bushes. They were clustered like grapes on the vine. These are high bush blueberries and the picking was easy. Our group picked 5 quarts, $8 each, blueberries and 1 pint, $5, raspberries in less than an hour There's something special about berry picking in Maine now I can't wait for my blueberry muffins.

It has been around forever. It keeps getting better too with more selection and better veggies and fruit hand grown by Eric Seaman. They have pick your own strawberries and pumpkins in season. They always have green beans and greens. In season they have blueberries, pumpkins, strawberries, melon, and more great produce. I love the cukes. Potatoes are always good too, Maine potatoes. He supplies a lot of local produce to the local Hannaford supermarkets and local restaurants. Eric is so nice and helpful and he works so hard. The best farm store around.

The Smiling Cow was one such place, and like with everything she wrote, she was spot-on accurate with her assessments. I have two grandchildren, so all shopping is based on what to buy THEM. Not me or my husband, not my daughters or son-in-law, but my grandchildren. So, of course, I made my way to the stuffed animals and Christmas ornaments where I was able to find some things to buy. Very cute things. I wish my back didn't start aching, or I would've likely bought more things. I guess that's a good reason to return some day. One can hope.
