Greet all merchants with a "hi how are ya'll doin" relax and procee with your business. The feeling of a warm hug will follow. Now to the PERFECT Apple Carmel Cheese cake, sooo creamy but still has the traditional cheese cake taste and my husband is still whining that he ate all his cookie and wants more. Great bakery... We stopped in to try out some items. We shared a cinnamon roll which was drowning in icing. At first that turned me off but the icing was just perfect and the roll was great. We also shared a caramel cookie and a cinnamon scone. The scone was unlike any I've ever had -rather than being tried it was very moist almost like a cake. It was delicious. read more

Stopped in on our way out of town. I had two scones, raspberry/cream cheese and the brown sugar. The brown sugar was the better of the two. The drink selection is limited in terms of morning drinks, coffee, OJ and milk. The gal behind the counter was pleasant enough but not particularly helpful or friendly. I'm also knocking a star off for sanitation reasons. While sitting and eating, the gal behind the counter needed change to break a large bill. When she called someone from the back, the other employee took the cash disappeared for a second came back with smaller bills but then started frosting a cake without washing her hands. This is a new bakery store that opened about a month ago in downtown Laurel. I have visited it twice now. It has a very nice and attractive exterior with nice red awnings out front with its name in big block letters on the building. Walking inside, you see the pretty exposed brick walls with the ice cream counter in front of you and the baked goods to your left. They have 8 flavors of Blue Bunny ice cream and can offer it in cups, sugar cones and waffle cones. I got two scoops in a cup for $3.82 with tax and thought it was a bargain. The scoops were large too! The pies and baked goods are attractively displayed in bright counters. I saw many pastry and baked good items for sale. What else is neat is that you can look into the kitchen in the back to watch the workers make their products. I predict this store will be successful. It adds a lot to the rejuvenation of downtown Laurel. read more

We loved Laurel and it's most friendly town folk. But this bakery? not so much. Maybe it was because there was not a smile or happy greeting anywhere. The staff acted like it was a drudgery to be there and why did we even bother them? The blueberry muffins were good enough, but nothing special. The atmosphere is quaint and inviting, and I'm sure that some of the baked goods are good, but we won't go back. read more

Cute place but not impressed. We had the pecan brownie, lemon cookie and the caramel cookie. Lemon cookie had good flavor but both cookies were dry and the caramel cookie needed a touch more salt. The brownie would have been so much better if it was heated up. Husband and I will be trying a new sweet shop next time we're in town. read more

We visited from Las Vegas while on a road trip and their place is excellent. We came back twice while in town. The cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies and the strawberry cake were all fantastic. Get there early if you want breakfast items they do run out but they have a great selection and are locally run by a family and they are very nice. read more

We stopped on our way back home. The selection was limited and the staff acted like we were inconveniencing them. We didn't get greeted, when looking for the bathroom she practically barked directions at me and my daughter, and then when we went to order she just looked at us and acted like she couldn't get us out of the shop fast enough. Laurel is a lovely town, everyone we met up to that point and after that we're very friendly, so to be treated like this was disappointing. We will be back to visit Laurel, we wont be back to that shop ever. Maybe it should be called Bitter Ends instead of Sweet Somethings. read more

I stayed there this summer and was very disappointed with it. First of all we entered from the rear past smelly trash cans. Went up rickety steps and across a deck that had uneven deck boards. The HVAC is controlled by one thermostat in the hallway. Walls must have been thin because one could hear squeeky floorboards all night long. Sat out on the deck in the evening and tried to light the firepit. Tank was empty. In my opinion it's not worth the money. read more

We happened upon this place because the bun on the burger at The Knight Butcher was made here. Love finding local connections between businesses. On top of that, it was amazing food! We ordered one or more of the following items: chocolate chip cookie, fudge-filled chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter cookie, iced sugar cookie, brownie, cheesecake brownie, strawberry lemonade cookie, and caramel pecan cookie. The chocolate chip cookie does not taste like your average chocolate chip bakery cookie. It was thick and may have had milk and semi-sweet chocolate in it. The brownies had a perfect chewy bake. The cheesecake brownie was super rich. My husband's favorite was the caramel pecan cookie, which they said was a best seller. We would have kept ordering if we would have had more room in our bellies. Everything truly tasted like it was made from scratch as opposed to some commercial mix that you often find in bakeries. The vintage decor is spot on. Plus, they had clean restrooms and friendly service. A true gem. read more

Customer service the way it should be! Recently I accompanied my wife to pick up petit fours for our daughter's birthday. It was closing time on a Saturday, the kitchen was cleaned, the floors were mopped and my wife's order had been misplaced and was not ready. The owners apologized, reopened the kitchen and in 30 minutes they called my wife with her order ready to walk out the door. Thank you Jamie and Joseph for saving the day. Ordered a 10" birthday cake - almond with chocolate icing, and although not on the menu, they accommodated me anyway. The cake was delicious and beautiful. A 10" cake is bigger than you think because it is 3 layers of cake and therefore feeds more than you anticipate. I highly recommend! read more

Cute little place with a great variety of dessert options from baked goods to ice cream. Actually more than dessert as they had some sticky buns out that looked pretty tasty. My daughter had a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with icing and m&m's she thought was "pretty GOAT" in her book from places we've been. My husband is diabetic and hoping to find something NSA which unfortunately is not to be found here. My son loves chocolate chip cookies but theirs have a different look to them than our homemade ones which we recently found out is coincidentally the exact same recipe as Magnolia Table in Waco from their cookbook. The CCC's here probably just have more flour and a little thicker but looked just as delicious to me and I say never judge cookies by their looks. True of many things! He just couldn't get past it. We were pretty full but will have to come here next trip and try more because everything looks yummy! read more
