Our friends have had this place before, and they highly recommended it during our group trip to Tahoe. They have a HUGE menu with many flavors to choose from - not to mention you are allowed to pick unlimited toppings!!!!! This rudest experience I've ever had in my multiple trips to Tahoe over the years. Didn't say anything before walking away, came back and looked at me like "go on."...and when we went on to the coffee order we were told "not with me" - so I asked with who and the man said "with one of these other people." He didn't ask anyone to help us, instead I had to chase down someone to help. Once ordered I asked to pay, went to the counter and said "do I pay here" and he said "ya but I have no idea what you ordered." Then he relied on me to tell him, again, what we ordered. We paid. I asked for a few extra spoons and they gave us 2 dirty sticky spoons. When I told them the spoons are dirty, the girl told me "they aren't dirty they change colors" and then rolled her eyes and brought the packet out for us to choose from. Every interaction was rude. I do not recommend this place. Also- I'm not sure what the coffee hype is about- it was below average. read more

Always a happy place to visit. It was such a great time to hang out outside, play games , eat ice cream, and drink coffee. It has a very happy vibe there Service is quick , with happy smiles. Ice cream is delicious Portions are large. We ordered a small $5 cup for each, and it was more than enough to enjoy each flavor chosen. Full honesty here based on my personal experience yesterday - take your money elsewhere!!! I came here with my family hoping to end the day on a good note, and this ice cream shop absolutely ruined our experience and overall trip. I'm not sure if it was racism or the one worker had a stick up his you know what... but he was completely out of pocket yesterday night. I believe he was the owner of the shop. We came in and asked for a few samples.... now I haven't even had a single sample yet and this worker looked me straight in the eyes saying "you can only have ONE sample." I thought he was joking, but I was completely wrong. Now if I wanted one single sample, at that point I might as well take a damn gamble on any flavor at this point and buy that flavor. I hated the first flavor I tried and asked for another sample (because i thought he was joking). Turns out he wasn't. As I asked for the second sample, he again sighs and says "I already told you you can only have one sample. There is a line (of 2 other people) behind you." I was completely speechless. What a rude human being he is. I ended up getting a flavor I didn't even like (and for $6 for a scoop FYI....). I just wish the owner had more of a heart. He should not be owning an ice cream shop with this attitude. The point of ice cream is supposed to bring joy and happiness together, but the owner did the opposite of that. He seems to have a lot of hatred in life and seems like a very miserable person that takes it out on the customers. If you want to have a miserable experience, come to this place. Awful experience, service, and bad vibes. I've been to Tahoe Time multiple times and am always so happy with my experience, so I'll keep coming back to this one! This shop is nice because they have both indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly patio, bathroom for customers to use, and several unique flavors to choose from. I went with a small scoop of Black Raspberry Marble in a cone! Prices are affordable and serving size was perfect. The ice cream was creamy and delicious. I loved how flavorful the black raspberry part of the swirl was, it was a good amount to have mixed in with the vanilla. This was the perfect sweet treat after an afternoon at the lake! read more

Stopped at this place by chance as we wanted dessert. The ice cream was great and the coffee (almond mocha) was delicious. This is the first time in a very long while that I have savored and finished drinking every last drop of store bought hot coffee while on a road trip. Gem mom and pop shop! Customer service is outstanding, the young man who helped us was patient, saw that we had a kids wagon and directed us to a bigger entrance. He went above and beyond. Free water station too. Guy working is super friendly. He really fills the cup full of ice cream. He even gave me free toppings in a separate cup and filled the small plastic cup to the top with a small lid. Plus he gave us temperature color changing spoons which would be a hit if you have kids. This is pretty much the most family friendly place I have seen. We were walking by and decided to come check it out. Our 2 year old immediately found the bike rack filled with all of the tricycles and scooters and was ready to have a blast. The back patio is huge and everything is so dog and child friendly. Staff was super friendly and came out to say hi to the pup and give him his pup cup. The ice cream and coffee were both really enjoyable. The house coffee was blah. The pastries were mediocre and the owner is a crazy old lady. We bought two coffees, three pastries, 2 ice cream cones and the rest of our kids had sno-cones from a different yummy establishment down the street. We tried the ice cream, which is sourced from Gunther's, and found it to be premium and creamy. We sampled half of the flavors, each so delightful and high quality. We came to Kings Beach looking for ice cream. This is the first one we came upon. There are a few spots in front, and if you get one it's very convenient. We took the family inside. So many options. They have both yogurt and ice cream, both with free toppings, I think that is what the sign said. I got vanilla ice cream , and it was just as advertised. We took our ice cream to the back patio and enjoyed a few minutes of quiet. The back is all set with tables for multiple families. They also had trikes to rid around on the driveway. Service is efficient and fast and they add your (free) toppings for you, which I prefer so it's cleaner and more efficient. One nice sized scoop (small) is $5 and was a great for an after lunch dessert and paired perfectly with our walk along the shore right down the street. Limited parking out front (2-3 spaces available) but bathrooms here are super clean! Lots of nice seating space (indoors and outdoors).
