Nice place we're staying at the motel right behind with less than a minute walk. They have weird hours on Monday so watch out for that pretty friendly service and good coffee and comfortable seating.

The Smokey burrito here offered a flavorful bbq take on a breakfast burrito! We stood in line in this petite casual cafe for a bit on Memorial Day weekend for these hearty burritos. Staff was friendly with their recommendations, and they try to get their drinks out quickly. The outdoor seating make for a great lounging spot to enjoy brunch.

We had a great time here! We were looking for a quick breakfast stop and we found this very cozy place! The food also has caught our attention! We got the breakfast burrito and it was one of the best so far! We will be back for the brisket Burrito ! The staff were very friendly and was pleasing to be with! The prices for the drinks were a little bit too high but other than that the food is amazing! Highly recommend it for people that will come and visit!

Solid cup of coffee! I got a hot white mocha on a snowy day and it totally hit the spot. It was not to sweet. Some of the mocha sauce went to the bottom (happens at any shop, no problem) so I stirred the drink. Service was super fast and I barely had time to admire the Christmastime lego scene featured on the table inside. There are so many details to notice! I'll be back next time I'm in Tahoe.

First timers here, won't be the last one, glad they are close to Carnelian Bay We went out looking for breakfast, kudos to being open on New Year day ! You order at the counter, customer service with a great attitude , despite being busy, our orders came out quickly and we were able to find a sit inside the small cafe Our breakfast burritos were delicious , we got the Tree House burritos Good neighborhood addition to the Westside Warm , cozy atmosphere : ambiance

The Treehouse is a fan favorite! Really good coffee, great breakfast burritos, and a super friendly vibe! This mom and pop is conveniently located on the main highway ringing the lake. Plenty of street parking, but not much of a dedicated lot. I highly recommend the breakfast burritos. The tiptip or the pulled pork are serious winners. They're pretty large for the price, and the eggs and goodies are overflowing the hot tortilla. It comes wrapped in foil, so use a fork to rescue the spillage. The coffee was good too. Cold mocha was great, not too sweet. They have oatmeal and soy. Don't miss the Lego tree house near the cash register. You can tell someone put love and care. Very friendly service despite the big touristy rush. Great energy!

Tree House Cafe is small little cafe to get breakfast at. The cashiers were friendly and nice. The food was simple and did the job. They have a variety of the breakfast options including some vegetarian options along with their drinks and small pastries. The items are all served to go style, and there is indoor seating but it's minimal. While nothing stood out for me, I enjoyed my coffee and breakfast burrito.

I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage. It's was bomb.com! Would definitely recommend, 5/5 on the burrito. My sister ordered the coconut chai iced coffee. It was heavy on the sweet side and the coffee flavor got lost. My sister also said the house sandwich was a little dry. Definitely go for the burrito!

Short walk from kings beach to here. Stopped in for coffee before we hit the sand for the day. Counter service with seating inside and out. Was relativity busy the day we were in but they got our drinks out with no delay. Restrooms for customer only. Parking on the street.

We decided to have breakfast at Tree House Café in Kings Beach, and the ambiance is really cute. Inside, there are tons of LEGO cities on display (which my son loved!), plenty of indoor warm seating, and it's a great spot for kids. They offer a wide variety of food options, and the coffee was really good. My husband ordered the basic breakfast plate, and my son had the waffles. The waffles were okay and a little dry. Unfortunately, they forgot my veggie burrito, and when I went up to ask, they said the ticket had been lost, which was a bit of a bummer. However, they remade my order right away and kindly gave us a scone as an apology, which was a really nice touch. The eggs were some of the best we've ever had. Despite the small hiccup, we'd definitely recommend this spot.

Fresh delicious breakfast! There was a very long line, but honestly worth the wait. Loved the legos collection inside. I ordered a ham and cheese, and an Americano coffee. What made this even more satisfying was eating it right on the beach. What a great ambiance to enjoy my breakfast.

What a great place for a cold drink on a hot day! We were driving through Kings Beach looking for a parking spot when I spotted Tree House Cafe and I just knew we would be stopping by. Once we found some parking and spent some time on the sand we meandered over for an afternoon pick me up. It was a good choice for sure! We quickly made ourselves comfortable on their shady patio although the open air seating area looked amazing. I had an Iced Chai that was just to die for, sweet and satiating. My husband had their Hibiscus Lemonade which he loved and I have to say it was perfection. He even talked several other people into trying it! This is def the place to wind down after a day at the beach or on the slopes.

Adding cream cheese made this the perfectly cooked breakfast sandwich

The steak was a little too chewy and tough for my taste, but overall good flavor. I loved the wild rice pilaf side! - lemonade and sierra sunburn: both really fresh and seemed like they were made from fresh lemons! the raspberry in the sunburn was great The lighting was warm and the lights were really overhead. The benches were comfortable and not cold to sit on, and overall nice, clean, comfy environment. Service was really friendly and apologized that the drinks menu didn't have dairy-free options for some of the drinks with dairy, overall really attentive and engaging. We found a lot of street parking a few minutes away and walked over, also took a walk on the lake beach right behind it which was super pretty

Comfort food perfection. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. A couple quirks to know going in: * Beware the green salsa. It is SPICY. Do not mistake it for guacasalsa. It's actually spicier than the red salsa and has some serious kick. * Chips aren't free and only come in one large size, so plan accordingly if you're just looking for a small side. I really liked that there was a central coat tree where you could hang your heavy coat, especially with the limited seating. Some tables outside as well for sunny days. I opted for the Sunrise Sliders, and had no complaints. I particularly liked that the pretzel buns weren't too dense and didn't overwhelm the other ingredients. I was given the option to add pesto, and it added great texture and flavor. Great showcasing of local products like bagels from Tahoe Bagel Co. and Blind Dog Coffee.

I was happy that they were serving smooth Laughing Dog coffee--a favorite. And the food came out quick and delicious, with a nice crisp on my burrito wrapper. The menu is limited, but what they do they do creatively and well--the quinoa in my burrito went great with the eggs, beans, and sausage, and they told my wife they were experimenting with their already creative pretzel bun sunrise sliders by adding pesto--a perfect extra optional touch for her.

We've tried many places over the years and Whitecaps is ultimately the spot we always go to. It's super busy, so definitely recommend coming early or planning your visit on a weekday. On a Saturday night, it took about 30 minutes for a table, so we sat at the bar instead. The service was good, though the food did take a while to come out. The Sopressata pizza with honey drizzle was amazing and probably the highlight of our most recent dinner. They have a ton of options on the menu though, if you're not feeling pizza. The pizza is absolutely the reason I keep coming back. My longtime favorite is the Soppressata pizza with hot honey drizzle. The combination of spicy, savory, and sweet is outstanding, and it might be one of the few pizzas that's just as good the next day as leftovers. On my most recent visit, we tried the Vodka Pie on the Detroit-style crust. While I enjoyed the flavors, I discovered that the Detroit-style crust probably isn't for me. Going forward, I'll stick with their more traditional crust options, which I've consistently enjoyed over the years. The beet salad is another standout. It's beautifully presented, and the fresh dill on top adds a unique touch that works surprisingly well. My only suggestion would be to increase the portion of beets a bit, as the amount felt somewhat limited compared to the rest of the dish. The beer selection is extensive, with plenty of options for almost any taste. Wine drinkers will find a handful of choices available by the glass or half bottle, which is appreciated, although none of the wines I've tried have been particularly memorable. The biggest challenge for Whitecaps continues to be the service. While I've had a few positive experiences, I've also had multiple visits where service felt inattentive and unfriendly. It often seems difficult to get someone's attention when you need something, and there have been occasions where details were overlooked, including being served wine in a visibly dirty glass. While it was replaced when brought to their attention, the lack of acknowledgment or apology left something to be desired. That said, I continue to return because the pizza is genuinely that good. Between the lake views, the casual atmosphere, the excellent beer selection, and tasty pizza. Whitecaps remains a great place to gather with friends, share an appetizer and a pizza, and enjoy a cold drink. If the service ever catches up to the quality of the food, this place could easily become a top pizza option in NLT.
