Gluten free goodies for me. Yummy

My book club had a gathering at Sweet Tea. From the minute you walk thru the door you are greeted with smiles and welcomed. What a lovely tea room. Beautiful china, tea cups and servers. The sandwiches and goodies where delicious. They had several teas for us to sample and they kept them warm on cute little warmers. I was so excited that they offered a delicious variety of gluten free sandwiches and baked goods. My friend did tell them we need GF when she made the reservation. We had wonderful luncheon. We are all planning to return in the fall.

High Tea best at the shore! Friendly staff and delicious tier of sandwiches, scones and soup pairing with a monthly theme. It was Alice in Wonderland for March 2023. I definitely went down the rabbit hole.

I was given this Valentine's Day tea as a birthday gift. Let's start with what was nice... The servers and all the staff were very nice. The food was tasty. But, mini means doll tea party sized finger sandwiches and desserts. Now .... this is not high tea - it is the Mad Hatter's tea party. While they are striving for the "shabby chic" look they only achieve shabby. We went on a Saturday and ALL the flowers on every table were dead. I didn't mind the mismatched dishes but, EVERY dish, demitasse cup and tea cup we had were either chipped or cracked. (I would have sent my cracked tea cup back but I didn't want to hurt my daughter's feelings.) The napkins were paper. The "lace" table cloth was a piece of bolt lace that was cut and tied on the ends. There were cobwebs everywhere and all the silver accessories in the room were tarnished black. For the price I expected high tea with lovely tea service pieces, cloth table clothes, napkins and flowers on the table (that weren't dead).

Perfect, adorable place to celebrate a birthday, throw a baby/bridal shower, catch up with a friend, or have a quiet afternoon tea to yourself! We decided to have a Galentine's Day tea here, and it couldn't have been in a cuter setting! Definitely call ahead, as space is limited. I learned that every 4-6 weeks or so, they change the theme of their tea menu. We happened to be there for their 'Roaring 20s' theme for high tea. The staff was really friendly and took the time to explain each tea and food item and why it was chosen to match the theme. On our particular visit, we started off with a butternut squash soup with hints of apple and curry. Definitely a unique combo for me, but I enjoyed it! Now onto the other food! Bring out the tea tier! 1st tier: a delicious quiche, a dumpling like puff pastry filled with chicken and veggies, and ham and gruyere pinwheel sandwiches. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. I enjoyed the dumpling the most--it had an Asian flair, but they said the recipe, popular from the early 20s, was completely American based. 2nd tier: vanilla scones with clotted cream and jam. AMAZING! Cream and jam is my weakness, and the scones were moist and prepared nicely. I only wish I had more! 3rd tier: petite desserts, we had mini cheesecake and 2 different kinds of cupcakes. They did not disappoint! While the vanilla and red velvet cupcakes were delicious, the blueberry cheesecake took it away! I've never had such a sweet cheesecake in my life! I had such a lovely experience here, I can definitely picture myself coming back for more high tea or even just a simple bite to eat. Their themes are carefully curated and the decor of was thought of down to each detail. Highly recommend!

I attended the Nutcracker Afternoon Tea and the decor and atmosphere was wonderful. The service was extremely slow for cost of service (they did apologize several times for being short staffed, but we did make reservations so this could have been avoided). The sandwiches were delightful & the tea selection was on theme for the holidays. I'd recommend attending but set aside a good amount of time for it.

Joined Sweet Tease Tea Room for their Alice in Wonderland- Mad Hatter themed afternoon tea. Short take: Pleasant staff, very good food and tea. Surprisingly filling. Long take: This was my first time having afternoon tea and being at Sweet Tease. My friend and I were the only customers there, which meant we got extra attention from the staff. Was served a bowl of homemade tomato soup, then finger food, scones, and mini desserts on a 3-tier. It came with 2 types of tea. I didn't have high expectations for the food (went for the experience), but the food was almost the best part of it! For $35/person (not including tip or tax) I think it's worth it. At first I thought it wasn't enough food (or maybe that's the glutton in me). But, I left unexpectedly full!

I attended a friend's bridal shower here, and thought it was lovely, and perfectly matched my friend's Disney theme, with Alice in Wonderland inspired decor and menu. It's a quaint little shop, with a small store front and gift shop in the front of the building, which then lead into a gathering space for the shower. There were maybe 35 or so guests in total? It was a little tight in some spots, but otherwise we fit comfortably. I loved seeing all the little tea pots and tea cups displayed on the shelves and sideboards. It definitely adds to the cozy tea room feel. The food was excellent! Unfortunately I don't recall all of the specific details (or have many pictures), but we started with a carrot bisque that had hints of Vermont maple syrup and cinnamon, which gave it a nice warm spice flavor, but a natural sweetness, from the carrots and syrup. The tower of treats (see picture; top to bottom) had scones, with clotted cream & strawberry jam; second tier: frosted cream puffs, fudge brownie, red velvet cupcake, lemon square; bottom tier: cucumber mint finger sandwiches, marinated tomatoes & arugula pinwheels, chicken salad w/celery & craisin croissant sandwiches. The two types of tea we had, were I believe, an oolong and jasmine blend, and a decade orange & cinnamon flavor. Both were delicious and paired well with all of the food. Will definitely need to venture back, just because, and/or to check out the gift shop for souvenirs to bring home

Overall just a fun and relaxing experience. Important to note that reservations are required for afternoon tea service. Nice to combine with a visit to the beach/boardwalk. There is a casual seating area in the main entrance. For tea/brunch, there is another small seating area that has cute themed decorations. August happened to be Harry Potter month, and September will the Paris-themed. The tea comes on a heated stand - and kept the tea hot during our entire meal. The tea service is served on a three tiered rack, and we were told all baking is done on premise. The scones were absolutely delicious with the clotted cream and the strawberry preserves, and the croissant sandwiches were excellent as well. We couldn't finish it all, and took home many of the sweets for a later afternoon snack. We spent a relaxing 2 hours here, just enjoying the ambiance and the delicious goodies. Not too many places like this, such a gem.

Such a quaint place to dress up for an afternoon with your gal pals, mother, grandma, etc! Very friendly service and delicious tea and treats. Really loved the scones with cream and jam. Mismatched tea pots and cups made for such an authentic aesthetic. They cater the menu and flavors to a specific time of year/upcoming holiday too, and decorate the place with photo opps accordingly. Fair prices and pleasant atmosphere.

What a darling little spot! Perfect tea, perfect scones, lovely employees! This place can get busy, but there's tons to look at, and a menu full of teas to pick over. The ambiance is casual, with book clubs and small family and friend gatherings. My mom and I stopped in on our way out of town, and we're glad we did! PS there's a parkinglot in back for the building, just be careful going in and out

We went for a Harry Potter themed tea, which was the same week as our family vacation. We loved it and dressed for the part. They didn't disappoint with their themes foods and drinks. We had a lovely time (4 adults, 2 children) and everything was YUMMY. We are a family who likes to 'tea' and this place is lovely. The ladies were so kind and hospitable. We would definitely come back in our next vacation.
