The hygienist was patient and took time to explain to him what the process was going to be for his cleaning and explained each piece of equipment and their purpose. They dosregarded this and continued go treat him by PINNING him down to clean his teeth. He is not even 3 years old. It was unncessary to pin him down. They did not offwr for me to hold him, or to use laughing gas or anything else to make this experience less traumatizing. Then she proceeded to SMACK his mouth any time he would scream in fear instead of giving him time to breathe and relax. My son did not need to be smacked in the mouth by anyone. For what? To clean his teeth? I have a photograph of them pinning him down. I would love to have the dentist call and apologize and I want my money back. It's the LEAST they can do for the trauma they caused both my son and I. DO NOT take your children there if they have any hesitation to medical professionals or any oral aversions. They WILL not be helpful. They will just resolve to pin a child down. Awful. Awful.
