I'm completely in awe with their lack of compassion and care! It breaks my heart that I have to update my review. With any office you have the good and the bad. I had my braces for 2 years and I took them off in June. Dr. K is awesome and very down to earth. I felt comfortable at each appointment. Most of the staff I've encountered with were very nice. What I found with this office is their lack of flexibility for the working class. I chose the appointment dates and times that fit within my work schedule and they'd often change my time without making me aware. For my last appointment which I had scheduled 8 weeks in advance I got a text 5 days before the appointment saying the doctor is unavailable that week and the appointment is canceled. I have to reschedule. I've never missed a payment and I was charged twice for a payment I paid early in September. Someone is not doing their job properly. I called the office to have them refund this money to my account asap- I understand that things happen. I spoke with Jatna who said that management was doing their best to have the $320 refunded to my account. I emailed her to follow up on my request no answer. I had to call my bank which they stated it would take up to 45 days for this to be resolved! They had no problem double charging me but to refund me it's a whole process. read more

Giselle hates Dr Vanessa some of the assistants are not cleaning the kids teeth properly, Rodger the RA is lazy all he does is talk about all the staff and mangers then go back and lie on the staff .Every office has a bunch of broken devices that you can't do your work correctly.Dr Rene is rubbing and touching up staff members. This place is toxic not a good place to work it was the worst experience I have ever had they hire anyone don't go there to work RUN! They have the staff writing reviews to make the company look good they running a scam for kids to do braces. read more

RIP OFF!! It's all about money My son was being seen by Dr Khakria after I paid a treatment for $5000. After a while he became very busy and hired another doctor who insisted my son had to pull two teeth to to have a better bite, which previously was never indicated to me by Dr Khakria, I did what was told and my son finish the treatment. They put him retainers that were very loose and when I went to do the cleaning and they recommended to redo the retainers. In the mean time, in the mean time since the retainers were loose, it created a gap in the middle tooth. They did another retainer to close the gap. It never did. My son was using every day and never closed the gap. I waited for a year to see if it eventually will close completely and two weeks ago my son lost his retainer. When I came back they want to redo the treatment for 6 month and they want to charge $1,690, unheard of!!!!. I was asking for prices around and a full 2 years treatment cost $2500 some other places which is reasonable. They didn't even told me since you are a client for many years we will discuss a better price. Not at all. I'm thinking looking for another orthodonthis for my younger son. Look around and get someone that cares about your kid and no someone that cares about only Money read more

My daughter went to see the orthodontist today and received care from Gigi. My daughter had bad experiences at other pediatric dentist offices in the past BUT Jacaranda Smiles has helped her overcome her fears through every visit. The energy here is what any parent would want for their child. Gigi was so amazing and encouraging she literally brought me to tears. She gave my daughter the affirmations she needed to hear to get through her appointment. My daughter literally did not want to leave which was so surprising! Very thankful. read more

TIME TO FIND A NEW DENTIST. I have been taking my kid here for 8 years and have forgiven and moved past many mistakes and disappointments with these people. However, I am done! I had an appointment today, which was specifically scheduled for today because I had the day off and due to the nature of my job, I cannot just take a day off. I went in on time and they told me the appointment was CANCELLED. They said they sent a text message. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU NOT CALL ME AND RESCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT? Is my time worth less than yours? It would have taken two minutes to tell me that my appointment was CANCELLED and you would have kept you patient. Instead, I spent the entire morning planning for this appointment, driving there, only to find out that they merely sent a text. I am pretty sure if I would have sent them a text that I was not coming they would not have been happy and probably would have charged me for failing to appear. I am sad and disappointed because I really tried to move past all the other ridiculous things I have had to endure with these people over the years, but this is just inconsiderate and shameful. read more

Positives: I actually really REALLY like both the pediatric Dentist as well as the Orthodontist. They are basically the only reason I still come here and why this office got 3 stars from me. Heck, those two doctors deserve 5 stars. They have terrific bedside manner and always make kids feel very comfortable. Negatives: My biggest issue is the wait time. If you have an appointment, be prepared to wait close to an hour. I understand with COVID, but this was happening long before the pandemic. Been going here for 4 years and i have never waited under an hour. To me, that means they are over booking patients. There is a simple solution. Once they see how the beginning of their day is going, call parents and let them know they are about an hour behind. This particular visit, I called as instructed to upon arrival and checked in 5 minutes BEFORE my appointment time. I was told to wait in my car. After 30 minutes I texted and they called me back about 10 minutes later stating that my text was when I was checked in (25 minutes AFTER my appointment time). They finally came and got us and when I asked, said that the call center had told them we were here, but they forgot. Cool. Story of my life. I suppose I should be used to every establishment forgetting I've checked in by now. Very unprofessional and feels like it just continues to happen. Might be time to find a new office. read more

Dr Rene is the best! The office is very child friendly and stress free (even for nervous moms) The staff is super warm and comforting. Dr Rene is calm and cool, which really creates such a nice trust between patient/dentist. My daughter had terrible experiences at a previous office, but now is happy to go to the dentist. Dishonest business practice! When you ask for assistance the staff that answers/replies have a different response every time. We had problems with the charges made for our daughters treatment, we found discrepancies with the charges made and the payments made by the insurance. We had to show them they were charging the wrong fees. We had to make a claim of several no shows charges, they made appointments without US requesting them. Obviously, when we didn't show to those (un requested) appointments they charged a no show fee. After we complained they added late fees. We have requested assistance to solve this matter and they just don't care. We were about to start the orthodontic process for our son and decided NOT to work with them anymore. We have requested our daughters records as well. We will NOT continue working with a staff that is so unprofessional and dishonest. Find another Orthodontist and Dentist office. read more

I just wanted to make a complaint, that I took my daughter to Jacranda Smiles today and while being there someone stole my iphone. The staff was very reluctant in helping me and I had to keep requesting for them to call my phone, call the police for me to file a report. They did let me log on through their office ipad to do search my iphone but the person had already turned the phone off to walk away with it. They did make it seem as if i never had my phone on me in the first place. but the receptionist had to text me the office documents to fill out while i was there. SO I KNOW THE PHONE WAS IN MY POSSESSION WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS BEING EXAMINED. NEITHER THE DR NOR THE STAFF APOLOGIZED NOR DID THEY OFFER UP A SOLUTION. PRETTY MUCH A TOUGH LUCK KINDA ATTITUDE. AND THEIR CAMERAS ARE recording but there's no monitor look at. and guess what they only record for 24 hours .. Needless to say I will not be back and cant and wont trust them to treat my daughter! read more

Negligence. This one word defines, my recent and for sure last visit to that office. My daughter was brought for a treatment to the office to have two front teeth (baby teeth M and R) taken out and to do one filling for tooth K. After my daughter returned from the office (she went with my husband) she had a completely different tooth pulled out - tooth L!!! They pulled a tooth that was hanging by a treat (the baby tooth was already moving). I have the treatment plan in my hand and the office claims that they provided me with something completely different. NEVER GOING BACK!!! read more

I've been bringing my two children here since they were toddlers and we always have a wonderful experience. They actually look forward to coming to their dentist appointments. Dr. Rene, Nichole and the rest of the staff are great with children and make everyone, including parents, feel welcome and comfortable. My dentist referred me to Dr. Khakhria; I made an appointment and paid $350 for the evaluation with the promise that in 10 days from my initial visit, they would contact me to discuss the treatment. After 60 days, they have still contacted me; I called them several times, and always the answer is: "Someone will contact you." I asked to talk with the office manager, and it wasn't possible. Awful, awful, awful. Avoid at all costs! I went for an initial consultation with my son. They kept us waiting for more than an hour, and it became clear that they didn't even realize that they had made an appointment with me. It has such a good reputation that I decided to give it another chance. I am trying t get Invisalign for myself. They assured me that at an early morning appointment all I would have to do is sign a contract. I arrived first thing in the morning. Again, they made me wait almost an hour, and then didn't even have the contract ready!!!! I told the receptionist how disappointed I was, and left. Love this dental office. My three young kids (7, 5, 3) always feel so comfortable and we are in and out. The staff is always friendly and Dr. Rene Landa is awesome. He is always so nice and takes time to get to know the family. With each visit if there has been any issue with insurance, the young woman at the desk tells you she will handle it, and she keeps her word. They also have Saturday appointments, which is such a blessing for working parents!! I pray they continue to take my insurance so my kids can continue going there. read more

Be careful of Dr. Kakharia. Originally, he had recommended for my daughter's bottom baby teeth to be removed to allow for more space for the teeth growing in.. when I get to my dentist office to have my daughter's teeth extracted, the plan changed to have the top two removed.. I had my doubt because I had clearly remembered in the consult that he specifically discussed the bottom two teeth to be removed. I second guessed myself (which I should not have) and proceeded with extraction because well frankly I trusted them because they are the "experts." This was a big mistake. When I get home, my records indicated that indeed the bottom two teeth were to be removed, not the top that were. I called and went to the office the next morning to discuss this issue. The doctor later called me and stated that the top two teeth needed removal as well.. he apologized for the miscommunication- but I'm not satisfied and NO LONGER HAVE TRUST IN THIS PRACTICE AND IN THIS PROVIDER. The trust is broken. I will be seeking care elsewhere for my daughter. Be very careful- by the way, my record of the consult I had with him was never scanned into my daughter's medical record. This was human error. But it caused me- a big mistrust in this provider and will NEVER recommend and will share my experience with everyone I can to steer clear of this provider. read more

Went here for a consult for braces. This office only works on children for general dentistry and adults for othrodontic treatments, however, the staff was friendly and the doctors were nice. The orthodontist here is kind and professional. He took his time to answer my many questions and is very personable. They have many payment options to fit your budget. Unfortunately I waited until my Late 40s to fix my rather crooked front teeth. I had hoped to do Invisalign but wasn't sure if that would work. The staff at Jacaranda smiles were awesome in my quest for straight teeth, and they are experts in invisilign. I never thought it would be fun to go to the orthodontist but they made it so. And when we got to the end and it wasn't quite perfect dr. Khakhria did all the necessary extra tweaking and perfecting until my teeth were perfectly straight. And that's saying something at my age. I now go to my job where I meet people every day with the confidence knowing that my teeth are straight and they're going to be with me for a long time.
