I think there must be some type of standard Panaderia handbook because they all seem to have huge wooden cabinets. Of course, they are filled with baked goods which are of the typical not-so-sweet and too dry variety. Why must these items always be so dry? We got a bag full of stuff (see photo) for a little over $5. The price is definitely right at this Panaderia. The lady who was working there was quite busy on her phone and I think she was happy to see that we knew how these places worked. 1. Pick up the large metal tray and tongs. 2. Pick out your own items. 3. Bring them to her to ring up and throw in a bag (no boxes because that costs too much?). I'm not a fan of the dry baked goods, BUT it is a standard thing. I liked that there was plenty of parking on the street and that the hours are incredibly long. On 5/17/26 at approximately 1:50 PM, receipt #64, I sent my 17-year-old daughter to purchase 12 single Bundtlet Towers in the Confetti flavor as end-of-school-year gifts for her teachers. She specifically requested that each Bundtlet be placed in its own blue gift bag, since they were intended to be individual gifts. The employees assisting her, Karla and Militza, instead placed all 12 Bundtlets into one large bag and brought them out to her car. My daughter felt uncomfortable confronting them directly, so she called me from the parking lot. When I spoke with the store and requested 12 empty blue bags so the gifts could still be presented properly, I was told that we would be charged $1 per bag. What was especially disappointing is that if there was going to be an additional charge for the bags, Karla and Militza should have clearly explained that to my daughter upfront at the time of purchase instead of simply placing everything into one large bag without informing her. That would have given her the opportunity to decide whether she still wanted the bags or wanted to make a different choice. I found the handling of the situation unreasonable, especially considering my daughter's age and discomfort handling the situation herself. It felt as though the situation was handled unfairly because she was young and hesitant to argue. I requested a refund due to the poor customer service experience, but that request was also declined. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed by management and would like a response regarding how this situation will be addressed. Thank you.
