We talked through everything--flavor, size, layers, filling, and most importantly, the design. I specifically asked for the Minecraft "block" look, and she mentioned adding green grass edging to an 8-inch round cake. I also requested it say "Happy 8th Birthday Paxton." Total cost: $167. Fast forward to Saturday pickup... and it was just a chocolate cake covered in green frosting. No blocks. No characters. Nothing that even remotely said "Minecraft." I shared my disappointment at the counter, and the solution was to add a few pre-cut fondant pieces on the spot. I reached out to management afterward, hoping for some understanding or resolution, and was told: "I do not find that we made any missteps in providing a custom, hand crafted cake which aligns with the theme." and "hope you enjoyed the cake over all, as it was very well done". However I completely disagree. So I'm genuinely asking... are my expectations too high for a $170 custom cake? Because this felt like a pretty big miss.

My friend got a strawberry limeade smoothie. He said all he tasted was tart and limeade. He didn't taste any strawberry, which I agree because I tasted it and it definitely lacked strawberries. The decorated case was full and looked pretty good, but we didn't get anything from it. My 3 gripes are: 1) my double scoop looked like a junior scoop at best, 2) it was $16 bucks and it was a lack of value and quality regarding the smoothie, and 3) they had all the flavors you're familiar with but sorely lacked any fruity type offerings. Unfortunately I get a better value buying a pint at the grocery store that's cheaper and gives more than 2 scoops.

Every time I go in there they always take forever to actually come over and take an order. Doing everything they can to not to do their job. There is not good customer service and especially for having 3 people working at closing, it is pretty crazy to have to wait 5 minutes for them to take your order with only 1 other person in there. With all this being said, their milkshakes and ice-cream are delicious. But Id rather take my business somewhere else where they will smile...even a little.
