On July 12, I ordered a salad to go for my daughter. As she began eating it, she discovered a small spider in the food. I returned to the restaurant and spoke with the manager. I informed him of the issue and showed him the spider. I also asked whether the vegetables were properly washed. He assured me that they were. I do not believe the food was washed or inspected properly. Because I placed the order through the app, the manager was unable to issue a refund directly. I kindly let them know I think they messed up and they were shocked I said something. They went ahead and started making new salads when they messed up my second salad. Stumbled upon this place while I was running to get coffee. While certainly overpriced, I was trying to keep it light and healthy for dinner so I shelled out $37 for a couple salads. The place is very big and clean and wasn't busy so I was able to browse the menu without feeling rushed. I went with the autumn harvest bowl which had kale, sprouts, sweet potatoes, chicken, apples, goat cheese and rice with a balsamic dressing. All the flavors meshed well together and the serving size was decent. I also got a side of the focaccia bread with hummus-tasted like sabra hummus from the supermarket and the bread was stale. Not sure if this place is actually healthy or bootleg healthy like Panera tho, I didn't see the ingredients for the salad dressings but the snacks they offer are not healthy (gums in the ingredients) so just beware if you eat clean like I try to most of the time. read more

I was able to choose my greens and choice of salad dressings. This accompanied the fresh raw beets, roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli, chick peas, and almonds that come standard. New spot that recently opened up and popped up as a suggestion on my seamless. Love that they have eco friendly packaging Super excited to try. Since I am trying to eat clean. Ordered the hot chick - which included sweet potatoes, quinoa, chicken, hot honey dressing cabbage and almonds. I also opted decided on a make your own salad - spinach base, raw beets, spicy broccoli and sesame ginger dressing . Both were great - however kindy stingy on the broccoli as I only got 2 pieces . I dreamed of a Sweetgreen opening in Long Island for years. When I lived in Manhattan, I ate a harvest bowl five days a week. My salad was perfect, no matter the location. This location clearly just throws my salad together. The portions are ALWAYS off. And by off, I mean they skimp on portions. When I order via Uber Eats, the salad dressing container has hardly anything in it. My last bowl had two small pieces of sweet potato and three small pieces of apple. I am paying $20 for a bowl of kale. The crispy rice is over cooked and literally hurts my teeth. The cost of the salad doesn't match the quality. I posted about the Miso Ginger dressing a month ago but it still isn't even close to right! When you order this at any other Sweet Greens it's a creamy delicious dressing. The Woodbury location makes this oily gross version that neither looks or tastes right. It''s SO disappointing because I was so excited to have a SG on Long Island but they consistently get this wrong even when I tell them it's wrong they just shake the bottle more. So I put an order in a little after 7pm. I went and got it at 8pm. Well the store looked like they were already closed. They had broken down the serving stations. They had no food out and were already stating to mop, clean and put chairs on top of the tables. I went to check my order and found it to be completely wrong. It almost looks they gave me someone else's salad. NO rosemary focaccia bread. They added carrots, almonds and arugula. It had NO romaine NO spring mix NO tortilla chips NO onions NO tomatoes NO cilantro NO bread with it and NO extra chicken only 1 serving of chicken not 2.They put the avocado in a separate box which is odd very odd as if they forgot it and added it after. They gave me the wrong salad dressing and only one of them. On top of that when I tried to address this the girl I spoke to was really abrupt with me and didn't even bother to apologize. She told me that I need to order earlier than that because by that time they are out of a lot of things. The store closes at 9pm. How can you not complete my order properly and leave out multiple ingredient with 2 hours before they close. She didn't bother to actually let me speak and listen to me so she could properly assess the situation. She just cut right in to her explain about how I should order earlier because they run out of things. The guy I showed my salad to was understanding and actually apologetic. He should be the one to handle customer service issues not her. They both were by looks at least 20 yrs younger than me. But I will say if the petite girl is a manager than they need to give way more management and customer service training because that was lacking. The guy behind the counter should be on track to management above her. Obviously age is no reason or excuse I understand if it's a lack of experience thing but more training is needed at that location. The store closes at 9pm so to not be able to service anyone at 8 or be able to fix my order is unacceptable. Sweet green is definitely losing money at this location. If this is their standard this location won't be open for long and eventually this company will be out of business read more
