Me and my wife were blown away how good the food was here. Very authentic Italian food with a very intimate atmosphere great for date night. Ambiance and decor here is very intimate and great for special occasions or a date night. Staff were great dnd very attentive and the food was amazing! I'm a bone in veal chop Parmesan guy so once I see they add ricotta with mozzarella I was sold. For appetizers me and my wife got arancini rice balls that were great and the calamari was a home run. The calamari is fried in tempura and just flaky and perfection. My wife got a bolognese and she was in love. My bone in veal chop was 10/10 and I will def be back. The food here is a little pricy, but worth every penny! Very solid authentic Italian and steak house. Came here for my birthday and will definitely be back. Right off Main Street parking can be a headache but it's hit or miss! You might find parking in the front but if not there are Municipal parking lot you pay at around the corner from the restaurant. Great food and you won't be disappointed! This place is way better than vespe, which is another Italian restaurant on the corner. Wanted to try Casa Stellina for happy hour. They have a few cocktails to select from, wine specials as well as some small plates, salads and pasta. A really great variety but the delivery wasn't really there for me. We started with espresso martinis. They were just standard so then I tried the blueberry Collins and really enjoyed that. For food we got the zucchini flowers. They were crispy and the sauce was very flavorful but they were definitely heavy. We also got the tricolor pizza. This was kind of disappointing. The dough was like too thick and not in like a crispy Sicilian way just wasn't it for me. Service was good and the place is really cute. This is a great new addition to Farmingdale. My friend and I decided to have dinner here because the decor was so classy and chic. What we didn't expect was how wonderful the service would be too! Our waiter did an excellent job of checking on us frequently and giving great recommendations. As other reviews have mentioned, the food and wine were great and the portions were large. I went to this place after seeing it featured on the devour power YouTube channel. On the video they made it appear to be a casual kind of a really nice pizzeria place . The truth is it's not really casual. It's definitely more of a halfway formal upscale trendy kind of restaurant. Although they were very nice to me in my gym pants and hoodie...... my date was dressed a little nicer. Food is great, my guess is the lasagna has tons of reviews . On my way out, I noticed half the tables in the restaurant had one or more lasagnas on their table. That's what I got and I will tell you it is very good. My issue with the place was the service. Again, everybody was extremely nice. But when I went there, it seemed like we didn't have anyone whos primary job was to provide my table service. There were two girls one seemed to be primarily working the bar, the other primarily working the front seating people and stuff. Then there was a young gentleman, dressed in a suit who appeared to be the manager, perhaps an owner. Then there was a guy from the kitchen who was doing a lot of food running. And while everyone was willing to help me when I needed it, it didn't seem like anyone was keeping an eye on my table the way a server with my table would have. I had to actually put my arm up to signal for help more than one time because the 4 people were all going by my table so quickly and not even glancing in my direction to see my cup was empty, or that I was looking around for help. That being said, I would highly recommend trying this place because the food was outstanding and the people were very nice. I just hope the not so great service thing was kind of a fluke that doesn't happen on a regular basis. read more

BLUF: Grilled octopus, bucatini all'Amatriciana, chicken parmigiana, porterhouse, and pistachio gelato. All standout dishes. And if we stuck with those dishes alone, five stars aren't enough. The red sauce needed some depth of flavor which the guanciale and drippings rounded out perfectly. The fired rosemary on the steak Florentine was a nice touch. They put that garlic butter sauce on everything. You won't be disappointed here. Great find in Farmingdale. We opted for a round table, but it was in a booth, which wasn't very easy to sit in. We had the margarita pie as an appetizer. It arrived on a wooden board and we devoured it! So delicious and must have. Next we had the fried artichokes which came out hot and crispy We enjoyed the sea bass which was good. The Cacio Pepe which was really cheesy, the strozzapetri al Fume pasta which had a spicy kick but not overwhelming in spice and the angliotta veal stuffed purses which were truffle strong. Casa Stellina in Farmingdale is a restaurant to try. The service and the food weas amazing. We had the Pappardelle Ragu and the Agnolotti, both were delicious. One of the Owners of the Sicilian Group, Mike made sure that everything was perfect. The restaurant has a nice beautiful decor with table seating. There is a nice bar in the rear. Parking in the village is a bit difficult but there is paid parking all around. Great place for friends and family to go to. read more

Stopped by this new Pizza Shop. Some unique slices in the showcase- including various Neapolitan, square and NY styles. The staff was friendly, though the restaurant temperature was a bit warm. The chairs at the table were a bit dirty and we had to wipe them off. We ordered an upside down Sicilian slice. The slice was large and very inexpensive. The crust was light yet still had a nice crunch and the sauce had a refreshing nice tomato covering . The dough was light and airy. The workers were trying very very hard to please their customers. Let me start by saying the gentleman on the phone who took our order was the nicest person I have ever spoken to ordering food at a restaurant. We ordered The Trio Roman style (1/2 size)and the Chicken parm w/garlic butter. Both were extremely salty. My tongue was tingling hours after eating. The chicken parm is well under the standard of an italian place...it truly tasted like a tyson frozen chicken patty drenched in salty sauce. The pizza was idek what to call it...so bad. Everything on Instagram looks so amazing and while it's very disappointing to spend any amount of money on bad food, spending $62 (not with tip) on a 1/2 size pizza and one chicken parm that was SO very bad is quite mind blowing. By husband said the actual restaurant was beautiful on the inside. But boy what a disappointment. I would think with such a limited menu they would have their food on point-but the food is not even decent and at that price point just plain unacceptable. It's also worth noting the google reviews are much higher and they have two google profiles with two different scores. I would not recommend going and I'm not a hater I just hate really bad food that looks amazing on social media. read more

How this place gets 4/5 stars is beyond me. We have eaten at the Oyster Bay location before and it was good so we expected the same from this place. First off the acoustics are horrible and then 4 dudes came in and sat at the bar basically screaming at each other so we could barely talk sitting across from each other. I said something to the bartender (we were eating at the bar) and she agreed they were loud but did nothing. (Where's the manager??) Sooooo let's move on to the food. I had the Lobster Fra-diavolo with pasta. The lobster was way over cooked, still in the shell, none of the guts of the lobster were removed etc..and it was sitting in a pool of grease and oil. The Fra-diavolo sauce was so hot it was almost inedible and was not made by an Italian chef for sure...How do I know this...? It had jalapeño peppers in the sauce...yes you heard that right..I don't know what kind of Italian chef would use jalapeños in an Italian sauce but none that I would ever let cook for me again. You don't even want to know what they charged for this mess. My buddy had a chicken parm that was mediocre at best...for $39......$69 for the veal parm..There is no way the place should be charging these kind of prices. The service was good other than the fact that they would rather let 4 drunks scream at each other than worry about their other customers. It seems to me the ''Stellina Empire'' has gotten too big with all their new locations and has outgrown their quality control. Sad used to be a good place, will not be back..We skipped dessert and went down the street to a rowdy bar where it was quieter. read more

Truly an amazing dining experience from top to bottom , beautiful dining room with enclosed outdoor patio, full service bar, Very impressive wine list, The staff and wait service were beyond accommodating and polite Marlon & Eric truly Exemplify first class service, Food was excellent , I especially enjoyed the grilled octopus, one of the best I've ever had, even though this is an Italian restaurant the porterhouse steak was even better than most steakhouses on Long Island, A nice dry rub with garlic butter, it was tender and juicy, Not only do they have an impressive wine list, but the cocktails were very creative , And also, they have more of the well-known cocktails, right next door, the family style pizzeria, they even own a café and bakery in oyster Bay and Syosset, all the desserts are obviously homemade from the bakery, also like to thank Mike, the manager very friendly, checked up on us regularly, as he did to all the customers In the dining room, The lasagna was very good just like any Italian grandmother would've made, they are bone in chicken Parmesan was crispy and delightful, I tried something different with an appetizer with a combination of shrimp and calamari, both grilled in a spicy Calabria sauce that was outstanding, They also had a fried artichoke ready to eat, peeled with a garlic, butter, dipping sauce, very good, and of course their signature meatballs are one of the best, pizza was nice and doughy top it all off with the Stelina martinis, and for dessert. I think it's not a bad idea if there's significant food left to reduce the dish platter size & place it down shifting flowers/glasses carefully. My husband & I really dislike poor service where Servers forget to remove dirty plates before bringing the next course. Diners should not have to pick up anything. That makes sense. I would give this place 3.5 stars. Pales in comparison to Stellina in Oyster Bay. My Old Fashion was underwhelming (too much ice and short pour). 4 of us shared everything. We had fried artichokes appetizer (good), Saute shrimp and calamari in Calabria sauce (good) and Bresiola pizza which was very good. For pastas we shared Bucatini A'Matriciana, The stuffed homeade pasta with veal, and Cacio y Tres Pepe. The first two were great but the Cacio Y Pepe lacked flavor (and quite frankly, pepper too). We also shared a bone in veal parm which tasted very good but was probably sitting out for 10 minutes before it was brought to our table. Not a bad meal overall, but am in no rush to go back with the surplus of good Italian restaurants in the area. read more

Then with the main course a plate with a full leaf of basil crusted on was put down. You would think after the first set of dirty dishes they would double check the next round. There were some annoying fruit flies that wouldn't leave us alone. The food: pizza app was good. Salad was fine but heavily dressed. Gnocchi didn't taste homemade and I've had better at my local pizza joint plus for $32 c'mon. Bronzino special was terrible and was barely touched. My friend and I went here for lunch. The ambience was great - very chic, temperature was comfortable and seating was tight. The service was great - food came out fast and perfect temperature. I had the Pappardelle Ragu - it had so much flavor and was delicious. I enjoyed every bite. The only complaint was that the portion was pretty small. For $30 a plate I was hoping for more. I have a picture - it's deceiving because it looks like a lot but that the bel holding the food is shallow. My recommendation is save your pennies so you can splurge on the apps and dessert - you will need it to feel full.
