    cute bag and box

Finally got a chance to try this place out with my gf. Their hours are pesky as they close basically right before dinner time. We stopped by on a sunday around 3:30pm. There was one lady manning the store at the time (not the owner). She was really nice and told us what the best sellers were and her personal favourites. Originally, we wanted to try a peach crumble pie and a key lime pie but they were both listed as seasonal items and unfortunately, the lady told us they only offered them during summer. What a bummer. So we settled on a mini lemon meringue pie seeing as we needed to save room for dinner. The pie was good but both of us agreed it was definitely on the sweeter side. I think my palette prefers a more "tart" lemon curd. The pie crust was flaky and the meringue was fluffy. I just wish the curd was more sour lol. The butter tarts looked REALLY fresh and tasty but we'll have to come back and try those on a future visit.

September 28, 2023 - Cute little dessert shop on the Unionville strip. I've been going to Unionville for some years now and it was my first time going here. Actually some of my friends bought me cookies from here! Thanks Mark and Sharon :D .. because of them I went here. The cookies they got me were delicious. I ordered: Apple Pie Nutella Stuffed Cookie Caramel Brownie All the desserts were good, I really like the Nutella stuffed cookie.

A Great Little Shop to bring Your Sweetie Pie. Sweetie Pie is a bakery and coffee shop location just off Unionville Main Street. They serve up baked goods, specialty coffees, Ice Cream and Cold and Hot drinks. We stopped in for Ice cream and Coffee after lunch at a local restaurant. The grown-ups ordered espressos and the kids got Ice cream, we also picked up a couple of things from the baked goods section. It's a great little shop with limited seating so most of the customers just grab and go. There are many places in the Unionville Main Street area to sit and enjoy your drinks and treats, or you can just take them home. If you're in the Unionville Main Street area, drop into Sweetie-Pie and check it out for yourself. it's a great little spot to bring your Sweetie-Pie !!

    5" Blueberry Pie $8.99

Let me start off by saying, I am not the biggest fan of fruit pies (I do like 1 or 2), but I gotta say Sweetie Pie won me over! My hubby stopped in after a business dinner before heading home. He was instantly won over by the selections. I love the options at this shop where they sell different sized pies, ( vegan available); savoury pies, brownies, butter tarts cinnamon buns (4 per pack) , cookies as well as frozen pies that you can warm up at home. They also sell cupcake and cake in a jar. Those come in birthday cake, red velvet cake, chocolate fudge cake and carrot cake. Hubby came home with a 5" blueberry pie and a 5" lemon pie. The pie crust was really good. Not dry at all! It was flaky and the perfect ratio to the pie filling. The blueberry filling was not overly sweet and had the perfect hint of citrus to it to keep it well balanced. The real winner for me was the lemon pie! Super delish meringue and the filling was so good and not overly tart. We have been back together and we also tried the cookies! OMG! We ate them on our along walk Main Street. I will def share some pics from our next visit! Nutella and the triple chocolate were everything I wanted in a cookie! Looking forward to trying out the chocolate dipped strawberries on my next visit a!

It is small pie place with variety of ice cream choices. Service is fast, we bought cookies and ice creams. Taste average, For the portion size, it's a bit pricey.

I work in the area and am always looking to grab a quick lunch in the area, so decided to try out Sweetie Pie. So far I have tried the mushroom pie and pulled pork pie. Both were delicious! Each came to around $10-$12 - which most might find a little on the pricier side but for me it was still very filling for a small pie. In the past I have bought their strawberry rhubarb pie for my family and most of us found it to be a bit too tart/ sour. The staff are kind and service is quick as it's usually not too busy. The place is small but it's mainly for takeout - they do have chairs outside though if you're looking to eat it right after purchasing.

Sweetie Pie Ratings: 4.2/5 Food: 4.75/5 - I was having an evening walk with my boyfriend tonight at Unionville Main Street, and suddenly I was craving for something sweet. We saw Sweetie Pie, and thought the name was cute! Surprisingly, we really enjoyed the pumpkin spice oatmeal cookie, and it hits hard, literally everything I wanted in a cookie. Don't judge me for getting an oatmeal cookie, I know they are not as popular as chocolate chips or nutella, but it's delicious. Please see the descriptions of the cookie I got below. - Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal [GET]: There's many options available, but this one caught my eye. I wanted something that's fall related, and pumpkin just sounded perfect. The cookie definitely tasted way better than it looks, and surprisingly it was not too sweet at all. I loved it! It looks hard on the outside, but it was still warm and soft when we got it. Interior was gooey and melty too when I spilt it in half. I love that there's a slight crunch near the edges, definitely can taste the butter and deliciousness. The only downside was that it lacks the pumpkin and cinnamon flavors in the cookie. Ambiance: 4/5 - Sweetie Pie is what you would expect at any bakery and ice cream shops. The interior is very cute, pink colors everywhere, and smells amazing. There are multiple display containers, cookies of the right side of the shop, and containers for the pies and ice cream right at the center, and lots of chocolates you can buy on the left side. You can definitely get them to go and eat it while you tour Main Street but can also dine inside like what we did. There's a nice outdoor seating area too. Price: 4/5 - I got the pumpkin spice oatmeal cookie for around $3 after tax. Each cookie is $3, and the pies are more expensive. I thought it was a delicious cookie, so I didn't mind the price point that much. I'd say it's worth it, because you can taste the quality. Service: 4/5 - We came during 6PM, so pretty late. There was only one staff working there, but she was nice and friendly. I couldn't decide which cookie to get. She was patience at explaining the different kinds of cookies they offer, and crazy thing is her favorites are the pumpkin spice as well. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our experience here. Cookies are nicely packed in a brown bag as well. BLUF: A coffee, bakery, and ice cream shop located in Unionville serving freshly made cookies and local ice creams. I think it's better than Confection Hall down the street, serving more freshly baked goods and treats at a cheaper and affordable price. I would come back again to try out other cookies and pies. If you do plan on visiting, make sure to bring your sweetie pie too.

This bakery just opened up a few weeks ago on Main St. Unionville, and I'm so glad I dropped by ! I love the pink interior of the shop and how inviting it looked. They offer a variety of freshly made pies, including Apple, Strawberry, Cherry, Blueberry, Lemon Meringue, as well as Kawartha ice creams, drinks, baked cookies, and a small selection of cakes. The cakes are sold in a packaged jar, so that was interesting to see. Personally, I liked how they offer different sized pies, which comes in slices, mini, or large size. I ordered the small Apple pie, which was very nicely packaged in a pink box. It tasted really fresh and home-made! Will definitely return again to try their other items.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around the area. I came in just before close and they still had basically all their baked goods available. I got a box of 6 cookies and thought they tasted great, with red velvet being one of my favourites. They were a good size and the right amount of softness. Would definitely recommend for a sweet craving.

Small pie box with handles so you can carry it out

Decided to check this place out as it was a new pie place in Unionville. I went on the first day they opened and things were being set up and so initially it was cash only, but since they have gotten in their POS machine. It's a cute shop that's just off the main street of unionville so you have really look for it. We purchased a small cherry pie and a pecan pie. I have since gone back and tried the small strawberry rhubarb pie. At $10 for a small pie it is a bit hefty but it's definitely worth a try. The pie is probably big enough for two people to share. I enjoyed the pie crust and the cherry and pecan pie were both really delicious. The strawberry rhubarb was ok, but it was a bit too mushy for my liking kind of like baby food consistency. The cherry pie has real whole cherries and wasn't too tart or too sweet. The pecan pie had a lot of pecans and again not overly sweet which made it that much enjoyable. They do have vegan and gluten free selections as well and if you want to grab a coffee while walking on Main Street you should give it a try. Overall, I would definitely go back to try more of the flavours and I wish they would get the chocolate bourbon pecan pie at this location. Also, always good to call ahead as they don't always have all the pies in stock. They have very cute packaging as well that doubles as it has handle so you can carry it out in style. I'm looking forward to trying one of their savoury pies and will update my post at that time!

Today's temperature is 31'c and we had our patio dinner in this wonderful neighbourhood. I was craving for ice cream and saw this place. So happy to see the kawartha ice cream, my favourite. Yes, they have a section with kawartha ice cream. But this cute place is a bakery that makes fruit pies, cakes, tarts , brownies and other baked goods. And all pies are vegan. I bought pies give it yo my friend and she loved it. She said it taste good.

I bought a couple of buns as a customer since then and I'm hooked! Bun Appetit is located at Commerce Gate. It's located closer to Highway 7. It's around the corner from Kinton Ramen, which I have been to a handful of times during the pandemic to pick up good eats. I found a parking spot steps away from Bun Appetit on a Wednesday evening at around 6:15 pm and backed in to it. It's easier to find parking when it's a weekday, in the afternoon. Bun Appetit's breads are naturally fermented for 168 hours. I liked that all buns and breads are gut-friendly and low on the glycemic index. I'm always interested in lower sugar options. I have sampled these items: - Baguette - Whole wheat walnut vegan bun - Lychee bun - Raisin earl grey bun - Oreo chocolate delight bun - Matcha pistachio pretzel - Whole wheat German pretzel - Yeast loaf with Nutella They were all delicious. They were soft and airy. My favourites were the whole wheat walnut vegan bun and the Oreo chocolate delight bun (also known as the messy hands bun). The former had whole walnuts that were so crunchy and fresh. The bread was chewy and soft. The messy hands bun used dark chocolate. It was also fluffy and soft. It lived up to its name. I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)

Recently, I got to try two of their 6 inch cakes. The earl grey tea chestnut cake with fresh strawberries and the black sesame mochi lava cake with fresh mangoes. Both cakes are AMAZING! I could taste the earl grey flavor and the chestnut flavor separately along with the fresh strawberries, it is a wonderful combination. The black sesame one was sooooo good also. It has black sesame mousse on the outside and the top is like a black sesame lava topped with pistachios and some kind of nutty crumble crunch. The inside has mochis layered within along with black sesame cake, more of that nutty crumble crunch and at the bottom is fresh mangoes. I honestly don't know which one I like better but I am craving either cakes again (I had both within the last 3 weeks haha). The service there is still excellent. Everyone working there is so kind & helpful. The ambiance is nice... it is spacious, bright and clean. I really love going in there and chatting with everyone while receiving top notch service.

Last Saturday, I was in my car, parked steps away from Zoup! I had placed a dinner order. I looked across the plaza and noticed Paris Baguette (PB). I had visited COBS Bread a couple of hours earlier. Did I need another bakery visit? Yes! I had some time to kill before picking up my dinner. It was raining. I drove over to PB and parked relatively close to the store. I walked in. I felt like I was in heaven. Carb heaven. Where should I start? I got a tray. There were instructions to grab a small piece of paper and lay it on the tray. I got tongs and went to work. I saw palmiers. My mom loves them. I grabbed one with my tongs and broke off a curved section. It was probably a first for me. I ate the broken part and placed the imperfect palmier on my tray. The broken piece was yummy and was perfection. I finally understood why my mom loves palmiers. I hit the croissant section. I got a pain au chocolat, which is probably my favourite type of croissant. I also got a chocolate croissant. A nice, older woman started chatting with me. She was so sweet. She let me know that she frequents this bakery often and loves it. I asked her what items she hasn't had. It was two items, which floored me. She noticed the chausson aux pommes that I had on my tray and said that it was yummy. I got the following items: - Chausson aux pommes - Chocolate croissant - Pineapple brûlée pastry - Palmier - Pastel de nata - Pain au chocolat - Curry croquette The nice woman let me know that Mia, who was the staffer behind the counter, let her know that this bakery has Korean owners. Really? It made sense seeing mochi donuts. We both hit the checkout counter. Mia got her order and said to grab a seat. She'd bring everything to her. This nice woman said that she was shy of being 90 years old. What?! She looked great! I wouldn't have guessed that I was talking to an 89-year-old woman during my entire time here. I hope that when I am her age, I am savouring pastry as often as my new friend. Mia was great. She put all my pastries in a box. She singled out my savoury curry croquette in a paper bag. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I got my receipt, thanked her, grabbed my goodies, wished my new friend a wonderful day, and left. There was a Wild game that night. I had a pastry each period. Three pastries in three hours. They were delicious! I will say that the ones with fresh fruit were the most expensive, just over $6. They were worth it. The chausson aux pommes had the best apple filling. It was flaky and delicious. I absolutely devoured the pineapple brûlée pastry. The pineapple chunks were set in custard and were so naturally sweet. This pastry was superb. The pain au chocolat continues to be my favourite croissant. It was flaky and had the best chocolate in every bite. So good! I had the chocolate croissant and loved it. It was fresh, flaky, and soft. The chocolate drizzle had the right amount of chocolate with the buttery croissant. I was extremely happy with my pastel de nata. The custard had a hint of sweetness. The base of flaky. It could have been torched on top more, but I'd get half a dozen next time. I didn't know what to expect with the curry croquette. It was delicious. It had a crispy exterior, crusted with a mix of white and black sesame seeds. The curry filling was full of good flavour. It had veggies in it. The corn and carrot combination worked nicely. I raved about this place to my friend at work today. There's one at Heartland in Mississauga, which is perfect for us to do a run after work. I had an excellent experience. It was nice meeting a passionate pastry lover while getting her take on what she loves. Everything that I consumed was excellent. I hope to get a drink next time and perhaps sit down to enjoy it. I'll be back. (117)

Mango Red Rice Bento - A decent sized cake probably for 2 people. I'd say its a 6 in x 6 in cake. The sponge layers were moist and cream layers light. There was the texture from the mochi and walnut, flavours from salted caramel and nuts. Would get again. Also got to try a slice of their millie crepe.
