This is located on a fun block of local stores/restaurants/bars in Erie. On my Saturday visit the place was crazy busy. It seems to be THE SPOT to go if you want to encounter local parents and their kids. Everyone loves ice cream, right!? The ice cream shop is connected to a bar next door, which I found interesting. In any event, it is a very small venue inside with very few tables (3?). BUT, they do have several tables outside. They have limited ice-cream flavors (15+), but they are all delicious. The flavors tend to rotate and are made fresh. On this particular night it was understaffed, but huge props to the Colorado student who was calmly keeping things together. We have been to this place many times and LOVE their ice cream. While we have always had good experiences there, I have to say tonight was super impressive. There was only one employee working tonight (2/28/25), and she handled the extremely long line like a BOSS! when we walked in, the line was at least 6 families deep and growing. I also love that they post their flavors daily on their Instagram page! We went after dinner at the Cidery next door and they offer a dozen of flavours, all of them very tempting. I loved the Toffee Coffee! Food is good enough. Prices are high for what you get. It seems like the people who work here are straight up jerks or simply dislike their jobs. One younger lady who definitely hates her job and doesn't care, and an older lady that makes me not want to support. My husband had the blueberry shortcake in 2018 when visiting a friend and when we came back in 2019, he was looking forward to it again. They didn't have it but they had a delicious replacement of raspberry love and I had the funky donkey. A great addition to old town Erie. Sweets is great local establishment the doesn't fit into a typical coffee shop/restaurant "box". Want a quick burrito or coffee cake with your morning coffee? Done. Awesome sandwich for lunch? Done. Desert after a tasty dinner in Erie? Done. Cinnamon rolls are amazing and the locally sourced coffee is solid.
