Sweets Ice Cream is worth the hype! And worth a trip to Erie for a sweet treat! They have the cutest little shop, an excellent selection of delicious flavors, and sprinkles are ALWAYS free (as they should be)! When we went there was one guy working solo and somehow still managing to get through the line quickly with unwavering patience, kindness, and a smile on his face! The best part is that all their flavors are from local ice cream makers like Little Man and Glacier Ice Cream, highlighting Colorado flavors and products! Don't be turned away by the fact that the cookie monster flavor is blue, it's delicious no matter what age you are! read more

Huge shoutout to the guy working on Valentine's Day. We showed up about 20 minutes before opening and were trying to explain to our 2-year-old that we'd have to wait. He saw us, opened early, and welcomed us in with such a great attitude. In a world where it can feel like people are just doing the bare minimum, it was so refreshing to see a teenager go above and beyond. He made our day--and he's clearly going places! read more

I go here all the time it's so good they have new ice cream every weeks and they have gluten free stuff I'm not gluten free but anyways the staff is very nice it gets packed most of the time but super good I love the new flavors they let you try small samples before you get it to see if you like it I love it the place is super cute as well! read more

Craving a late night sugar rush? This is your place. Nice variety of ice cream flavors that really hit the spot. I tried a combo of the Funky Donkey and Homestead Crunch. Both were packed full of complex flavors and the ice cream was the perfect texture. I liked both but I am a sucker for Toffee and Butter Pecan ice cream. It was really good and had a decent amount of toffee bits, pecans, and fudge. Highly recommend it. This is located on a fun block of local stores/restaurants/bars in Erie. On my Saturday visit the place was crazy busy. It seems to be THE SPOT to go if you want to encounter local parents and their kids. Everyone loves ice cream, right!? The ice cream shop is connected to a bar next door, which I found interesting. In any event, it is a very small venue inside with very few tables (3?). BUT, they do have several tables outside. They have limited ice-cream flavors (15+), but they are all delicious. The flavors tend to rotate and are made fresh. On this particular night it was understaffed, but huge props to the Colorado student who was calmly keeping things together. The store is cute in nature with a pink/white motif, most important, you will easily address your yearning for ice cream. read more

My first time here, long line on a Saturday night. I wish they had a few more dairy free options for others I know. I tried the double chocolate and moon pie in a waffle cone, darn good stuff. Its a small little shop and overall standard looking place. You can sit inside or out. They have a nice variety of rotating flavors and prices seemed fairly standard. read more

We have been to this place many times and LOVE their ice cream. While we have always had good experiences there, I have to say tonight was super impressive. There was only one employee working tonight (2/28/25), and she handled the extremely long line like a BOSS! when we walked in, the line was at least 6 families deep and growing. She didn't panic, stayed calm and perky and just dug in and worked with a smile on her face. As a manager in a completely different industry, she is my ideal employee. Have lived in Erie for 2 years and slept on this plane for far too long! Love the ice cream selection, they carry various ice cream brands like Little Man and other local CO companies. I also love that they post their flavors daily on their Instagram page! Only reasoning for 4 instead of 5 stars is that they often run out of flavors and don't have more and their hours are pretty limited. read more

Cute little shop in Old Town Erie, next to the Old Mine Cidery. Seating is very limited, but that should not stop you from trying their yummy ice cream. We went after dinner at the Cidery next door and they offer a dozen of flavours, all of them very tempting. I loved the Toffee Coffee! Adorable ice cream shop that is delicious and fun for the whole family. And THANK YOU for being so thoroughly accommodating of kids with food allergies. It's now 1 in 13 kids - being able to enjoy a sweet treat out with your friends and family (even if you're allergic to dairy, nuts, wheat, etc) is a HUGE deal to tiny people. :) read more

Food is good enough. Prices are high for what you get. It seems like the people who work here are straight up jerks or simply dislike their jobs. One younger lady who definitely hates her job and doesn't care, and an older lady that makes me not want to support. Two ladies walked in and the older lady looked them up and down before welcoming them in. Just overall bad service from the people that work here. read more

This place is magic! Always a great assortment of flavors! I find the prices reasonable for the quality of ice cream you receive . Twice we accidentally came in on a day when they offered a special. On Mother's Day they offered free ice cream to moms. On national ice cream day it was buy, one get one . We don't live in Erie but we are always up for the small trip. read more

Insanely expensive!! Took my grandchildren there for a scoop in dish. Walked out with sticker shock. C'mon, it's just ice cream! Plus, doesn't seem to be a mask policy. Place is too small to not have patrons wear masks. For the prices you charge, you can afford to pass out free ones read more

Best ice cream around. I love the funky donkey and strawberry. Really good ice cream. Update Feb 2018: Sweets now serves Little Man Ice Cream. I tried this for the first time today, and it is still just as good. The flavors are different, so no more funky donkey, but the salted Oreo was very delicious. My husband had the blueberry shortcake in 2018 when visiting a friend and when we came back in 2019, he was looking forward to it again. They didn't have it but they had a delicious replacement of raspberry love and I had the funky donkey. That is one kick-ass funky donkey (see what I did there??) don't take my horrible joke as a reason to avoid this place. Every flavor we ha e chosen has been DELICIOUS. Enjoy! read more

A great addition to old town Erie. Sweets is great local establishment the doesn't fit into a typical coffee shop/restaurant "box". Want a quick burrito or coffee cake with your morning coffee? Done. Awesome sandwich for lunch? Done. Desert after a tasty dinner in Erie? Done. Cinnamon rolls are amazing and the locally sourced coffee is solid. My personal favorite is the smothered breakfast burrito in the morning and a cinnamon roll in the evening. A great place to get some work done in the morning. read more

What a cute ice cream / coffee place! They have about 12 or so flavors of ice cream, full espresso bar, pastries, and a small selection of sandwiches on the menu. The husband and I opted for ice cream (cookies & cream and cookie dough) and two coffees. The gals working there couldn't have been more friendly. The place has exposed brickwork, lots of seating and a variety of board games. It looks really welcoming to come here and stay awhile. We sat out front and enjoyed our ice cream with our dog.
