I was craving some ice cream so decided to give them a try. They had such unique flavors, and I got the mint chocolate chip with marshmallows. While the idea of this ice cream is great, the texture was totally off (probably from the marshmallows). My husband got a chocolate flavor and really liked his - so I would recommend sampling the flavors to try out the texture to ensure it's to your liking. read more

Good local, family-owned ice cream shop serving up glacier ice cream. The staff are friendly and helpful and greet you with a smile. They have some interesting flavors that rotate with a flavor of the month highlighted. The ice cream itself is tasty and super creamy. It doesn't travel the best, however and melts pretty quick. They don't have to-go lids which I find kind of odd and wrap the ice cream in seran wrap. Either way, the portions are generous for the price and it's enjoyable. read more

As an ice cream connoisseur, Cow-A-Bunga Ice Cream didn't really meet my expectations. I visited the ice cream shop at around 8 p.m. on a Friday with four other guests. The shop was very busy and only two employees were working behind the counter. I ordered a Mama size with one scoop of Play-Doh and one scoop of Huckleberry in a waffle cone. My order was about $6-7. I honestly do not know how to describe the Play-Doh flavor. It tasted like rainbow sherbet but as regular ice cream - a combination of different fruit flavors. The Huckleberry flavor was really disappointing. As a Missourian, I had high expectations for this flavor and it just didn't really taste like anything. I think the two employees were just stressed with the growing line, but they weren't overly friendly. I don't think I'd visit Cow-A-Bunga again. read more

We visit this store multiple times a week and have almost since their opening. Have never had unfriendly, bad, or rude service. Granted, the servers are high school students and some of the young men can be too cool. But not rude. Today 7/24/24, I dropped by to find that some school day camp had dropped in for ice cream after bowling next door. 30 some kids, maybe six or seven years. There was one person working (usually enough). The kids had been served by the time I got there and the young woman was working on shakes for the 5-6 camp counselors. This server is amazing. She's waited on us multiple times--always friendly, polite, and competent. I'm sure she was feeling stressed today, but it didn't show. She was friendly, polite, and apologized to me and a few other people, who had been waiting. Anyway, great place, delicious Glacier ice cream. I just wanted to let the owners know how well this young woman handled a tough situation. read more

To celebrate the holidays, we opted to give 5 pints of ice cream as a gift. Checking out the fun flavors from Cow-A-Bunga, I went there armed with my pint list. I decided to get 7 pints, 2 for us, 5 as a gift. Turns out, packing 7 pints ice cream is a lot of work! The person behind the counter hustled and got all 7 pints packed as fast as he could. What I found out later was how amazing the ice cream is! Rich and creamy and full flavored. We will definitely go back there again, but if I'm going to order that many pints, I'll call them in first. read more

The ice cream is great, but the girl working was incredibly rude. I'm from out of town and visiting a friend and looked at the menu online. I was so excited by the flavors, and wrote down a couple I wanted to sample before choosing. When we came in and I told the girl working how excited I was and the flavors I wanted to sample, she immediately said "can you just try less. I just had a rush and I'm closing soon." They were closing in 30 minutes, and there was only one other person in the store. The entire time there, this girl had such an attitude and was so unpleasant. This is a family owned and operated shop with great service, great ice cream and an amazing selection. They give back to the community and help with fund raisers and special events. Had like 7 reviews, people gassing it up and it's 5 minutes away from Winona Lake Reservoir where I just finished my Post Brewery Co. dinner (good but not good enough for a review, tbh the cheddar biscuits were dry and the brussel sprouts overcooked but ion like to be negative with my yelp so imma leave it at that. Just needed you to know how bad I needed some sweet stuff). Anyway, I'm with my friend and I'm like yo should we do it and she's like absolutely. So we go. So we walk in. Two people behind the counter, boy and a girl. Coulda been brother and sister, real good chemistry here and the vibes had me feeling part of the cowabunga family from the jump. Love it already. So we looking at the flavors and we're like damn... what do we even get. All types of crazy names. Some like funky donkey or something. Death by chocolate. Don't know what Pralines are but they had that too. So I'm trying all these flavors, some guy in the bowling alley next door told me to get the Bing Cherry (not Bingo cherry like I thought it said). I'm like aight, it's cool, but I'm the kinda guy who asks to take the cherry off the milkshake so I couldn't commit to scoops of this thing. And then I see it. Pink Cadillac. The name, so daring and luxurious. I asked, "what is this?" "Strawberry and Oreo." My favorite dairy combination. Y'all. When I tell you my life done changed. This is the best ice cream I've tasted in a while. I wanna go back, and I also never want to see it again so it can't ever ruin the memory of my first time having it. All the flavors are cool. But pink Cadillac?? This place should be a mandatory visit for anybody in Colorado. Really the United States. I would fly here specifically for this ice cream. And I'm lactose intolerant y'all, I can't just be putting anything in this stomach. Nah. This hit different. This is cute little shop that sells Glacier brand ice cream. Apparently they started out as an ice cream cart but this location is a new bricks and mortar store. The store is decorated with cow motifs (surprise!) and inspirational sayings. They have about 24 flavors of ice cream. We tried the Funky Donkey and the Death by Chocolate, both delicious. Service was very friendly and prices are reasonable. It has a good location, next to the bowling alley and in a shopping center with several fast food restaurants, so you can easily walk over for dessert. read more

This is a great new ice cream shop! We love Sweet Cow and were so excited to see another "real" ice cream shop (not soft serve) open right across from us in Lafayette. Despite the small space tucked next to the bowling alley they have a whole bunch (20+) of unique ice cream flavors, and we can verify that Cowabunga (like mint chocolate chunk plus marshmallows) and Birthday Cake are great. We'll have to come back to try the floats as well. They're a family business and the staff are energetic and friendly, and encourage trying lots of generous samples to find your favorite. The prices are reasonable too - the smallest "mini" size is still a real single scoop for only $2. There are some tables inside and just a few spots to sit outside, but it made for a perfect hot afternoon ice cream date for us! read more
