Peak "fried seafood place" onion rings... golden, crunchy, and unapologetically doing their job, not tempura style, but old school Weathervane "fried seafood style" onion rings that you can sub in instead of fries on plates/boats for a small upcharge. Even the bathrooms are clean, which sounds like a throwaway detail until you realize how rare that is and how much it says about the place. We love it so much that we'll happily drive 40 minutes each way to eat there - in winter - because that's what you do when a place never lets you down. BUT luckily for us they had more lobsters around back. We bought hard shell live lobsters for $9-something per pound and they were roughly 1.4 - 1.6lbs. New shell lobsters are $1/lb less.
