    Mac & Cheese
    Michael R.

We were pleasantly surprised with Point Break on a recent visit with friends. When I think dining on Hampton Beach, my mind turns to pizza and fried dough. This was a nice changeup with casual comfort food. Think pizza, burgers and the like. The dining room is nice, open air out front with outside tables, a big bar and a fun surfer/beach theme. The hostess first tried to bring us to the far back corner of the restaurant and I knew we would not like feeling so isolated from the rest of the diners, so we asked if we could sit elsewhere, and she was quite agreeable. I had my eye on their Mai Tai with a honey foam top, which brought me right back to Hawaii where MonkeyPod restaurant does a similar rendition with a lilikoi foam topping. Point Break served a tasty and potent version. We didn't order apps, but my Mac & Cheese was very good. Seemed that everybody was very happy with their food as well. Fried haddock, pulled pork and a nice salad. Our server was great, and quickly handled one mistake (a full dinner was served instead of a sandwich, and so he brought out the fries which came with the sandwich). Perhaps the only real negative is parking, which is tricky at the south end of Hampton Beach. There is plenty of resident parking nearby, but otherwise you might have to walk a bit to get to a paid parking spot or lot. Give them a try! We don't visit this part of the beach often and rarely for dinner, but we might make an exception to try this spot again.

    Bacon bleu

My husband got the bacon bleu burger and I got fish&chips. I regret not getting a burger because the little bite I tried from my husband's was phenomenal. Dare I say the best burger I've had. We received our food very quick. The music was a little loud for my liking but other than that we had a great time at point break!

    Asian honey wings

Menu is diverse and nothing like anything else you will see on Hampton strip. Actual like good food not just fried sea food and chicken tenders (they do have that also but there is more than that here) food was quick to come to me and delicious. The joint is also just a nice looking place and the people there are quick with the service and super accommodating and affordable.

Hot Lobstah with house made chips. AMAZING

The Hot Lobsta with house made chips was incredible! Very nice place and great service.

Food was UNREAL! We split the margarita & pepperoni pizza with a side of fries. Everything was SO GOOD. The staff is super friendly & attentive. Ambiance 10/10 - think classy, but beachy, but also affordable. I loved the little details such as the color of the plates matching the wall. You can tell a lot of love was put into this renovation. Honestly, I've been coming to Hampton Beach since I was little & Point Break isn't even comparable to the other restaurants on the strip. The pepperoni pizza is a must have. The chicken sandwich looked unreal too! Highly recommend.

Food was amazing and the atmosphere was incredible with live music! We tried the Breaker Burger with a Caesar Salad and a lobster roll, great cocktail menu as well! The perfect environment to bring the family or have a night out with friends!!

Such an amazing new spot for Hampton Beach! Food was amazing and extremely well done. I will be coming back!

Best burger I've had in Hampton, Modelo on tap, and Boston sports on TV at the bar. Live music and great vibes.

Short staff is a common issue including my place of business. Our waitress was very friendly and really good with the children in our party. I really liked the variety on the menu. There were affordable options with some higher priced dinners. There was an option for everyone in our party. I had the stuffed haddock covered with a seafood stew. I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to seafood stuffing so I was a little hesitant to try it but OH BOY am I glad I did. The stuffing and stew were amazing! No leftovers for me. The rest of our party had various options off the menu and all of us were please with our meals. I highly recommend The Old Salt. A nice ambience. Friendly service. Great food. Both bartenders were friendly and one offered a marker + tape so we could hang our dollar bill on the ceiling. As for the food... IMO it wasn't up to par with the Manchester location but still good. The nacho appetizer was disappointing as the pulled pork on top was lukewarm and there was hardly cheese/toppings under the top layer. My BLT and fiancés burger were both good. Fries perfectly crispy. This is probably one of the better (if not the best) place to have a meal at Hampton Beach.

At the time of this posting, TSSC is currently in their soft opening phase with different menus each day. They are open for dinner during the week and Saturdays and for brunch on Sundays. The place has a retractable garage door in front, offering seating up at the front full service bar and inside table seating too. There is also seating outside in front if you like to listen to loud motorcycles and vehicles with modified exhaust zoom by. Due to the soft opening phase, the brunch food menu selection was very limited to pancakes with NH maple syrup, steak & eggs, breakfast sandwich, and the lobster bennie, plus sides (crispy smashed home fries, bacon, fruit salad). The bar had a few draft beers, bottle beers, wine, seltzers, and brunch libations such as bloody marys Hampton ice tea, mimosa metro, the pearl and by the dunes. The pricing is moderate high. While I was at Hampton Beach on a hot sunny Sunday, I decided to stop by the Tideside Social Club for brunch since one of the chefs also operates the extremely popular and excellent Tuckaway Tavern & Butchery in Raymond. I took a seat up at the bar and it wasn't very busy around 11:30am. The bar was staffed with three bartenders and one was training the other two on how to operate the digital touchscreen POS. One of the bartenders took my drink order (I got water since it was hot outside) and a soft opening brunch menu. The group on the other side of the bar was really enjoying their brunch and mimosas and the smashed home fries and bacon were a hit. I went with the Lobster Bennie ($23 plus tax), which came out in about 12 minutes after ordering. The Lobster Bennie had two shortcake biscuits topped with chewy lobster tail meat, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. This brunch dish was very filling to eat considering the biscuits were very dense and not sweet. Having lobster on a brunch dish was very fitting for the area. After I was done, I got the check which was $24.96 (cash)/$25.87 (card) with tax and before tip. Cash is king at most businesses in Hampton Beach. Overall, this new restaurant in Hampton Beach shows promise and I had no idea what was on their menu until I stopped in. Once a more permanent menu is launched and published online, I will be sure to stop in to try again.

The Parker House rolls were savory warm perfection and a great way to start the meal. My entree, the gnocchi with duck confit was one of the best things I've ever tasted (though very rich--I had to bring half home). And I tasted my dining companion's duck breast an it was also delicious (which they concurred in thinking). The dessert special was a sticky toffee pudding with bananas foster ice cream and peanut butter magic shell and I wish I could eat it every day. The only downsides were that (1) I didn't love the dessert cocktail (which was also absent a garnish), but it could also very well be personal preference and it was only $7, (2) it was freaking freezing in the restaurant. We were seated in a corner that didn't seem to have any baseboard heaters, and even though we weren't far from the fireplace, there was so little insulation on the windows we were all egregiously uncomfortable. The service was great, with the waitress very helpfully answering all our questions and brining each course with perfect timing. The food itself is on the expensive side, though I thought the drinks were normal for a nice restaurant (my other drink, which I enjoyed, was $13). But for the quality of the food, it's hard to complain.

We loved it so much we came back the next night at 4:30 in order to be first in line for a bar seat. Tables were fully booked that night. The decor is nothing to rave about, but there's nothing wrong with it either. And you can't beat the ocean view if you're lucky enough to get a seat near the front of the house.
