After a great day out at the beach, I went with friends to Brown's and we had a blast! This is a great place for a large group, with plenty of seating inside looking out over the marsh. Fortunately my friends are regulars and knew the drill: there are separate lines where you order lobster rolls and the like, another for fried options, and if you want a steamed lobster like I did, you go inside and talk to the guy at the counter who will get that all set up for you. You then get numbers (mine was on a cute wooden lobster-claw shaped paddle) and listen over the din for your number to be called out, and then you go pick up what you ordered. So it is a bit chaotic, but hey, it's summah in New England and this is what you should expect at a casual seafood joint! We got lucky on a Friday night and I think we must have missed the earlier crowds, because we had no problem snagging two tables for our large party and things were thinning out by the time we left, which was close to their closing time of 9pm. Food is ready at different times depending on what you've ordered, so don't expect a restaurant-style sit-down. The lobstah guy set me up with a nice one-and-a-quarter pounder (pro tip: this is really the best size; larger generally means tougher and less sweet, and this baby was steamed up perfectly). All I needed with that was butter and lemon, and I also ordered a side of corn on the cob and coleslaw--also delicious, as it's very fresh and not overdressed. Other great stuff at our table: fried clam strips, steamers, fried scallops (I'd never had those before; yum), and fish and chips. All huge portions, by the way, and there was plenty for sharing. There are a ton of options here at Brown's! Oh, and it's BYOB if you want alcohol (we brought in a pretty big cooler and our own cups), though they do have sodas and other nonalcoholic drinks to choose from.

stopped by as it was along the road and we were looking for a place to eat. Nice spot with good water views and ample space inside as well as parking, Service was fair and timely and place was clean and neat. Food was pricey though and didnt really stand out for me. Chowder was a bit too thick, lobster roll was just okay; ordered baked fish too but had a lot of batter but taste was okay as well. perhaps a bit bland so you may have to season it yourself.

2025 is my last time to Browns. Been going to Markey's across the street from 2015-2019. 2021-2025 to Browns. Last year the seafood platter was fresh and tasty. Some reason when i went there first time this year. Their quality went down significantly. Like others have said, fries aren't done properly. Scallops has been cut to quarters. One piece of haddock, 3 shrimps, 1 scallop cut into 4 bite size, little bit of fries, few clamps strips. This is 40 dollars platter. The clam chowder was still good. Their lobster bisque is just cream and flour, barely any lobsters. Prob food coloring. The service is meh, open more windows during rush hour, take peoples orders, learn how to optimize the season like chic fillet. Have staff with a pen and paper to write down orders the. pay at the window. I saw so many people turn away because the length of the line. You're losing money. People tend to spend upwards of $100 dollars per order. Capitalize the short season you have.

No frills, but great view of the water- and great seafood if you are staying on the beach and looking for REAL seafood- grab your lobster here! Best around. Not a fan of the coated French fries though. But this was our go to and we tried several-

Was excited to finally try Browns since my husband has been going there for years on business trips. Kinda a mixed bag. The restaurant was very clean and neat. They only take cash which my husband was aware of but I never carry cash anymore. They did have an atm on site but I heard there was a $2 service fee. The workers were moving very slowly and weren't friendly. We picked the lobster by the pound. We watched her drop poor Larry the lobster in the cooker. They have an enclosed picnic table area and very low ceilings. If you are taller than 6'2 you will probably have to duck. I did notice some outdoor seating. The lobster was good and sweet. This is only My 2nd whole lobster I've ever had. I guess Brown's cute and cheaper to bring a family. Nostalgic of days past.

Great place for fresh lobster. A local favorite. Awesome vibe, and they allow you to bring your own alcohol. You arrive, order the size lobster you want, and any fried foods. You're given a number and are called when ready. It is open concept seating and loud. There are lots of great seafood plates. We got the fried haddock and clam plate and a fried lobster tail. The fried foods were not seasoned, and the fried lobster tail for $10 to add to the seafood plate. Don't waste your time adding one it was the size of a prawn, chewy, and tasteless. Highly recommend adding salt to fried foods because the batter is not seasoned. The coleslaw is pretty good. The prices are high so plan accordingly and they are cash only. There is an atm in the lobby

    Our $99 lunch.

$99 lunch - 2 lobster rolls (eh not much flavor), chicken sandwich with fries, and clam strips (again no flavor but the tartar sauce made them good) and 2 drinks. Beautiful location but food left me less than satisfied.

My wife and I have been coming to Brown's for years. We love the open concept dining experience with the option to bring your own beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) for a casual & enjoyable dining experience. We feel they make one of the best lobster rolls around. The clam chowder is good but used to be better....a little light on the goodies. The steamers also used to be good but this time we actually had to return them because of the sand. They did without question refund us the cost of the steamers. Not sure if we caught them on an off day or what but we know they are capable of much better. I do still rate them at 3-1/2 stars so give them a try on a nice summer day & Enjoy!

I have to say this is what I was looking for a road side restaurant that was welcoming !!! Soon as we walk in smiles from ear to ear ask them what we should order and they told us . We got the fisherman's platter a double cheeseburger, a hotdog and some chicken fingers. Everything was great great view of sea what more could we ask for thank you so much I can't wait to come back to browns

    Disappointing calamari. Rubber.
    Musicsphere O.

Not the greatest place for calamari. Very either under or overcooked. Hard to chew through, thick gummy and rubbery. The worst I've had in my life. Although the batter is cohesive, tasty and crispy (they fry it in some kind of shortening or bacon fat maybe?). The tartar sauce is just vinegar cream, no taste of pickle or anything else, did not like it at all. Their fried fish plates look good though. It might be a hit or miss type of place. Interior is comfortable, a cool vibe. Nice service, good portion.

    $48 meal!

My wife and I saw their current monthly flight offering and knew we needed to try the flavors. Was the perfect time of the year to visit this location. Not too cold but before the busy tourist beach season started. Just like their other location great vibes overall with friendly staff who greet you and wishing you a good day when leaving as well. Some great window seats or outdoor seating to do some people watching. Lots of flamingo decor and just an overall welcoming space. Also if you are a fan of flavored coffees they absolutely nail the flavors so well! Their current flight included Strawberry Cheesecake, Butterfly Chai (lavender & honey), key lime pie, and raspberry lemon tart! My wife loved their chai the most while I enjoyed the raspberry lemon tart most. After the flight my wife got a larger sized chai and I got a s'mores latte! The s'mores flavor was phenomenal, best s'mores flavored coffee I have ever had! No food this visit but they do have a good variety to pair with your drinks. And they have free wifi which is great for working remotely. I also would love to say the service is fantastic. I don't know the name of the girl who served us but she was so friendly. And the drinks came out super fast! We got one of the energy drinks and a mocha. The energy drink was really good (very similar to a Rush at aroma joes!) and my dad enjoyed the mocha. But here is my only complaint.... The scones are not great. I think it is nice that they have a wide variety of pastries. But the scone (blueberry white chocolate) was both super dry and overly sweet. I couldn't even finish it. It was honestly reminiscent of crumbl cookies. So if you like sickeningly sweet scones (like the cookies at Crumbl!), then this would be great. I've had scones like this where it is balanced, but I fear this was too much and I probably won't get a scone here the next time I come. Otherwise, this spot is really cute and I highly recommend checking it out!
