Yes. You'll eat well and be satisfied. The quirky pallet tables are fun. No worry of getting splinters or hung up on a rusty nail. The food is pretty good and you'll get full enough. But not so much as needing a forklift to get out the door Our server was a joy. Great attitude and quite friendly. It looks like Pleasant View has a new go to. Quick Tip: After you fill up with the solids, swing around to the Black Dog for whatever liquid that makes you happy. They have a great selection of beverages to take home. This place is a semi-regular for my wife & I, and has been for the last several years (I thought I had already posted on it but, my bad if I missed it) My usual here is the Philly Sub with the sweet potato fries. on occasion we will get their Street Corn, and of course an ice cold beer. The staff is fast, friendly and always helpful. During the lunch push or "Happy Hour" it can get a bit loud, so if you want to chat I suggest either grabbing a table in the back room or if it's a nice day, out on the patio. We have tried most of the food on the regular menu, I can honestly say there was nothing I did not enjoy & the happy hour specials are a big plus. read more

I had the Cuban and it was loaded up with meat and sauces. I thought it was bland but I added some horseradish to it and it made it a little bit better. The fries are hand cut, super fresh and delicious. The ranch is a must. The restaurant was fairly busy but the waitress was quick. read more

I am so proud of the growth and development of my little town. I came back here to visit an old friend. He said we had to go to Sweezey's. I got the Bbq chicken sandwich and tots. Now this is not your average restaurant. This is top of the line for Pleasant View, TN! I mean it looks to be prepared by a chef. Cool ambiance too! I'm a fully grown man at nearly 200 lbs, and mama raised her boy to not clean his plate. But I couldn't do it! The servings are too big! I had to get a to go bag for half of my sandwich. Super pricey tbh! I paid $18 for food I just threw away I have tried this place twice now and for my own personal gain I will not be back. I'm not a big fan just wanted to share my experience. The atmosphere honestly is cool and everyone is super nice there. But the quality of the food is just horrible. The first time I came there I got a burger and I could barely eat it because it was so meaty and just tasted weird. Recently I tried the Philly and again the meat is just weird and fatty and not good to me and the Brussels sprouts were dry. That's my personal taste. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. Service was good. We went to listen to a friend play on a weekend night, and had to sit on the other side of the restaurant and couldn't hear them play. Why? Well, because on the side we were sitting, they decided to pump radio music from the speakers! How does that make any sense? You have live-music and local entertainers bringing in patrons who wouldn't typically drive 45 minutes one-way to eat typical bar food and you want to play radio music on one side of the establishment. I stopped by on my way to Clarksville and I'm glad I tried this pub. The service was friendly and the food was good. I really enjoyed the pork belly BLT. I can't say enough good things about it. The street corn was good but a little bit on the salty side because of all the cheese. The brussels sprouts were good, but not what I expected. Usually when I get fried brussels sprouts, there's a little bit of saltiness and a little bit of sweetness. These brussels sprouts had no sweetness and I think they would have been better if just a little bit of balsamic or sugar had been added. They also had a slightly burned edge to them. What a gem!! We were driving through and looking for a place to stop north of Nashville for dinner and found Swezey's Pub... and so glad we did! There was no reason to be nervous, we weren't packed in like sardines Amazing happy hour pricing/specials, but because we had more of a drive ahead we didn't order alcohol (next time??). We each ordered sandwiches... the pork butt, the Philly cheesesteak and the sweet chili chicken. All were GREAT!! The sweet chili chicken is s-p-I-c-y but if that's your thing, do it. The portions are HUGE. Share if you can or (even better) plan to bring 1/2 home for more eats. The tots were better than the fries, I just like a crispier fry. Nice little gem hidden away in a quiet part of the country. Although it seemed that for folks in the area, this is the spot to be!! Live music, upbeat atmosphere, smiles all around! The staff was attentive and made sure we were happy with food and beverages. We had the wings (which are naked not breaded in case you are interested) with the Swezey sauce, a mix of BBQ, Sweet Chili and mild Buffalo. Highly recommend it. It's like a sweet and sour with a kick. The bleu cheese dressing was equally spectacular and the ranch was more like a dip than dressing, not watered down. The wings are served with French fries or Tots. Got me some tots! Love crunchy tots and these didn't disappoint. Many folks around us got the Philly Cheese steak or a Burger. Both looked stupendous! The Cheese steak was huge like enough for two so hopefully no one is mad at me when they do split one only left wanting more. lol. There was also an ad that they support a local farmer so that's a plus in my book to buy local. Oh and there were many awards plastered on the wall for best food. I was pleasantly surprised they had live music on this Saturday night. Wasn't my kind of music but they sure looked like they were having fun playing. The place was packed too! Great customer service. The mushrooms were great, the queso dip not so much. This place is 35 minutes away from where I live. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was not a great experience. The food is expensive, 2 beers, 2 sandwiches, and an appetizer for $65. It wasn't really worth the price either, the italian sub was missing a lot of meat, my cheesesteak was not the best, and the only thing that was amazing was the beer cheese appetizer. Our service wasn't the greatest either, we were only visited 4 times, one was to order and the other was serving us our food. I'm so disappointed because the reviews for this place were good. Sweezey's Pub is a great hidden gem in Pleasant View. Relatively small inside but with a welcoming atmosphere you don't want to miss this place if passing through at lunchtime. The vibe is great, de or on point, and the food was a win. Beer cheese to start - no complaints here. Kid had to try the loaded tots and the fried bologna sandwich...not my taste but if you like that kind of thing he says this is up there with the best (seasoned traveler he isn't). I had the spinach salad with grilled chicken; knocked a point off because the chicken was a mix of dark and white meat which threw me off; dark meat is slimy to me and this was no different. I have eaten here quite a bit and tried a lot of their food. My favorite thing to get there is the kielbasa sub it is so delicious and I love the horseradish mayo on the sandwich. The loaded tots are awesome, as is the buffalo chicken dip. You can't go wrong with any of the food here. I highly recommend their onion rings they are so good. I am not going to mention everything I have had here but I have never been disappointed. The servers are awesome and always upbeat and they get your food to you in a very reasonable time. We had absolutely horrendous service!!! My husband ordered a plain cheeseburger with horseradish mayo and fries. I ordered a hamburger with everything + mayo and fries and a street corn to share. After a 50 minute wait what we actually got was my husband's horseradish mayo with my burger no regular mayo only his had fries and mine had the tiniest side of street corn. I asked for my mayo as soon as it came out and she said she would be right back with it 15 minutes later she stopped to check on us and I asked for the mayo again and a refill on my tea, someone else brought the mayo out out 5 minutes later but no tea. Now as for the food the burgers were served on brioche rolls that were way too sweet. The burgers without the rolls were good, the fries are disappointing and the street corn while not terrible is just boiled corn on the corn covered in tajin and cheese. As for ambiance it was only 2/3's full and the noise was a constant roar. I understand it's a pub but it was so much louder than any reasonable person would expect. Over all we are highly disappointed and will never return read more

Found this great little bar restaurant on our way through town. My husband and I sit a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. My husband said it was the best Philly he has had outside of Philadelphia. I have not been to Philly so couldn't compare. The waitress said everyone orders them. It was large enough to split so be sure to order one if you want a great tender sandwich. The staff wonderful and very attentive. After traveling 10 hours it was great to find a cozy place with wonderful food. read more
