Came here for lunch with family while visiting Nashville, and absolutely fell in love with this…read moreplace. Lively vibe, fast service and great food. This British pub gives you a nice break from the traditional Nashville chicken that permeates most of the menus in the city. Our larger party was seated in a private room, and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We started with the Belhaven Beer Cheese and Fried Pickles. Being from Wisconsin, I'm used to beer cheese dip being served in the middle of a giant salted pretzel. Here, there were soft pretzel pieces and fresh veggies. Amazing. Healthy and indulgent! The pickles were hot and crunchy on the outside, and perfectly tender on the inside. The creamy dill sauce was the perfect accompaniment, and a nice change from the usual ranch. As a main meal, my husband had the Sausage Roll and I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders (my first hot chicken experience in Nashville). The Sausage Roll was a nice take on the classic roll (which we've had in the UK), made of ground sausage instead of a full sausage link. It also came with two dipping sauces, since that's a classic American thing. The sliders were perfectly sized, and I liked that the honey was served on the side, so I could decide how much I wanted on each bite. Seating is available inside and out, so you can decide which way to enjoy your meal on a warm Tennessee day.

My hubby and friends have come to have a quick drink and bite and it's just always good vibes. Sometimes it's INSANE and LOUD and BUMPIN because of a game or match, and other times it's more chill and you can watch whatever is on the screen/tv and just chill. Either way, it's a lot of fun. The food is solid pub food -- we've enjoyed everything we've tried here and really don't have any complaints. I don't find a Scotch Egg many places, so I usually order when I see on the menu. Love it. Service is good, but also really depends on what is going on -- we haven't had to wait long nor have we had any issues with putting in orders or refills, but just manage expectations depending on why and when you are here.

I had a couple of hours to kill before a tattoo appointment across the street (reviewed separately)…read moreso I stopped here for lunch. It was very busy around 12:30 mid-day, but I was seated immediately. There is downstairs and an upstairs that looks over the first floor. They have a huge menu. Lots of pub fare. Beer cheese, nachos, various pizzas (tons of combinations, most with lots of meat, and you can create your own). They also have flatbreads (again, several combos, some veggie, some meaty). Entrees include steaks, pork chops, grilled chicken, chicken tenders, salmon, and shrimp tacos. Large selection of sandwiches (turkey, clubs, BLT, reuben, prime rib). And at least 10 different types of burgers. I had the cowboy, made with Monterey Jack, bacon, sautéed onions, mushroom, lettuce, tomato, and pickle). Huge burger (I only ate half). The fries were hot and tasty. The burger arrived medium as I had ordered and the produce seemed fresh. The mushroom and onion flavors were lost somehow, and the burger could have used a little more seasoning, but overall solid for being local to Clarksville. I had a couple of cocktails, some type of margarita with cranberry, and a basic mule. They were fine, but nothing special and nothing I would order again. They have a ton of beers here, and that's what they are known for, so if you're a beer drinker, that's your best bet. They have brunch on the weekends. My server was attentive and kind.

The staff is fast, friendly and always helpful. During the lunch push or "Happy Hour" it can get a bit loud, so if you want to chat I suggest either grabbing a table in the back room or if it's a nice day, out on the patio. We have tried most of the food on the regular menu, I can honestly say there was nothing I did not enjoy & the happy hour specials are a big plus.

The food and service has been great all throughout the years, and has been one of the most consistent spots around. The Piccadilly (cod) fish & chips is always spot on; a light fluffy breading with a fantastic crunch. The chips are great, but level them up and ask for a side of curry. If you've never had mushy peas before this is the place to try them. Even if you've had mushy peas at other places, still give these a try anyways. They're unlike any other. A gin & tonic with the chips and curry is a reason I live. Switch over to a beer and it's another. Potato Soup at midnight? They got you. It's a dark quiet pub where you can experience everything from watching a game, conversing with friends, or finding a quiet nook to read a book and enjoy a drink. I love you Fleet Street, never change. Cheers, Robert
