Since my car is not operable I am provided with free transportation to and from appointments...and though, not as important, but never the less, a great perk is the free coffee and fruit/snacks in the waiting room! I asked when another driver would come to get him and they had no idea. A driver finally showed up and had no idea where to go so he followed us home. Upon arrival, he refused to wheel my father into the house and just left him on the sidewalk. There must be alternatives out there and I will do my due diligence.

The driver got lost just leaving the hospital, ones in the highway she went to the left lane, I expected some speed, but no, kept in the left lane passing lane at 60 mph, creating a hazard for me and other drivers, after about 150 miles of slow left lane the High Way patrol Trooper stopped the ambulance to tell the driver to move to the right and speed up, she could cause an accident, a few miles later she stopped in a Turnpike rest area, did not go to the nice rest area in stead park in the gas station next to the gas pump, I though they need gas, no, just to go to the bathroom and open the back doors of the ambulance with all the gas fumes coming in and me thinking about my sick lungs, very unprofessional, they should be driving a truck with dirt not ambulances, so the fast 4 hour trip that the driver insisted turn to be 7 hours putting my health at risk, between the gas station stop and the time, I am a lung transplant patient and can't take risks, it would be safer and faster having my wife drive me to Jacksonville. The drivers have no way of communicating each other (there were five of us, one Wheelchair user per Van) My van was flashing overdue service, and low fluid lights. My driver did not have a cell phone, barely spoke English, wouldn't follow my directions and so coming back took 20 minutes longer than it should have. Because they were rushed because we were late. They didn't tie down my wheelchair properly and they bounced all the way. Because my driver didn't speak English he didn't understand me when I asked him to stop to fix it or he didn't care I'm not sure which. By pure luck, I had the number of the afternoon driver (Victor), who called earlier to confirm the 5 PM pickup. I called him, and he was able to get in touch with dispatch--only to tell me no driver had been assigned and they had no solution. We scrambled to find another ride and luckily were able to get a Yellow Cab wheel transport to rush over. We ended up walking into the game in the 3rd inning--missing the start of a day we had planned for weeks and paid dearly for. After the game, the 5 PM ride never came either. Once again, we were stranded--this time outside the stadium in the heat, with my elderly father in his wheelchair, trying to keep him cool and hydrated while I made dozens of unanswered calls for an hour. We reached out to seven different taxi companies, none of which had wheelchair transport available. I finally called Victor again and explained the situation, we were stranded and desperate--thankfully, he pushed through with dispatch, got himself reassigned, and came to get us. He was the only bright spot in an otherwise nightmare of a day. This was not just about poor logistics--it was about putting an elderly, disabled man through unnecessary distress and completely failing to deliver the service we paid for. It turned what should have been a beautiful memory into a day filled with stress, rushing, and worrying for my father's well-being. If you're considering using this company for wheelchair transportation, please think twice--especially if you're dealing with someone vulnerable. We were lucky we had backup options. I was in panic mode because without my scooter I would not be able to travel alone & get my flight. From the moment I spoke to this woman Johanna she calmed me down & assured me she would do anything to help! She asked me for my location & placed me on a very brief hold & told me there was a driver making a delivery not far away & made arrangements for him to pick up my scooter & bring it in for repair. Julius was friendly & amazing! Johanna called me back & stated Fernando the Tech was able to fix it & Julius the driver who picked it up would return it! This entire process was less than two hours & I had it back in plenty of time for my flight. This team of workers Johanna, Julius & Fernando were AMAZING!
