On my first day we sat in the car, and he went over all the rules with me and made sure I understood everything he answered all the questions I had for him, very patient with me. I was trained by Pam and got my license after 5 classes and in first attempt. I have never driven earlier in India and am very scared of driving, I could not believe I got my license so soon, and all thanks to Pam aunty. I had earlier gone to another instructor and I can say how better Pam's teaching was. She had tips and answers for all my fears or doubts. That helped me a lot during the test, I knew exactly what to do. The cherry on the cake is she makes us practice on the freeway and also teaches how to fill gas which I don't think any other instructor does. Also she makes us feel comfortable with friendly talk throughout. And she makes sure we practice enough and get the license with her. Andrew had squeezed me in cause my permit was bout to expire, he said I was a really good driver but my only problem is that I doubt my driving which was causing me to think I'm a bad driver. I had about 3-4 sessions with Mr. Vincent when I attended his driving school! A week later, I took my driving test and was able to pass with minimal/ minor mistakes (due to my forgetfulness haha). More importantly, he was able to give me exceptional guidance in driving on the freeway (something my parents were too scared to do). In terms of his personality and the rest of his team, they are all really nice, understanding, insightful with their criticism, and extremely patient with you! They are especially calm when giving you advice, so if you are afraid of being stressed, these are the right people to go to! Overall, really great instructor! read more

Had a bad experience with the driving instructor. On the first day, the instructor was late, then I was told to go on the freeway barely 10 minutes after I first learned the controls of the car. Then had to go pick up another student at the end of my class in my very first class!! (for the record, I also did NOT get my 2 hours in). And the student after me lived in the high hills of east bay, and I had to drive there, having barely navigated a car before. I was pressured into signing up for another class the next day. The same thing happened in the next class - drove a student home, went on the freeway, another student drove me home. I did not get my full 2 hours - later realized I would rather pay more money to a driving instructor who would give me the full 2 hours. By the end of the second class, I refused to sign up for more classes. I was told I am a bad driver and how I will never pass the test at this rate if I dont keep taking classes with them. It was an unprofessional experience with the instructor and helped me realize what I needed in the next instructor I picked. It is possible this school has other better instructors and my instructor's style might work for others, but it definitely did not work for me as a first time driver. The only positives I can think of is that it is lower cost than other schools (but again, not the full 2 hours). And I DID learn HOW to drive. None of the road rules or actual helpful advice to help me advance as a driver. But at the core of it, I learned to operate the car and didn't crash into anyone. read more

Good for a first time driver that has never driven before and needs one lesson just to get used to the road. Not so good if you're planning to learn how to drive in a few lessons. I took many lessons with Vincent and he never let me drive on my own. He took it into his own hands to speed up the car instead of telling me to, and when I pressed a tiny bit harder on the gas pedal (because I didn't feel I was exerting that much force and didn't know he was accelerating) he told me I was going too fast. Frustrated, I took my foot completely off the gas pedal to see if the car would still run without my foot pressure there. The car still ran at about 25 mphs for a few minutes, and that is when I learned he was driving for me. I feel like the only thing he needs to do is break if I am prone to accidents, but things like speeding up should be experienced by me only, so I know how hard to press down on the gas pedal when an instructor isn't with me. He also picks up his phone in the middle of lessons quite often to arrange appointments, which is understandable, but the ringing and talking tended to distract me a lot when driving, especially as a nervous newbie. Once while I was driving, he was eating in his car and he wanted to tell me to do something (like a turn) but his mouth was full and he kept waving his hands. Not sure how he expected me to understand his hand motions or how he expected me to focus on his hand when I'm supposed to keep my eyes on the road at all times. Vocal commands seem to work much nicer personally. I took about five lessons with him, but didn't seem to have learned anything important (like u turns, parking, driving on small roads, faster speed limits, freeway, etc) It was good to get me to stop being scared of the road, but I didn't feel like he actually taught me anything, or how to do anything on my own. I felt like the lessons were dragging out the curriculum, and started to learn how to drive on my own and with relatives. I've now gotten my license, but I wouldn't say I owe it all to Swift. read more

I learned about this place from my older brother who used this school to learn to drive years before me. I must say I didn't get the chance to take many classes to do rescheduling with the company and my work schedule didn't mesh at times. I had my first lesson I believe it was the second week and second (final) lesson in September 2017. I had my test the following month..well weeks on October 24th...it was a little nerve wracking for me b/c I only had two actual lessons... but I literally just remembered/imitated how my bf and my brother drive and what I learned from the two lessons. My test took less than 10 min but the wait at dmv was the longest. I passed my test and have been driving confidently since. read more

This is the most unrealiable and deceitful driving school. I made an appointment about a month ago that was confirmed and I was instructed on what to bring and where to go and arrival time. The night before the appointment they called and left a message that they are fully booked so I should not attend the class. Why would they overbook in the first place? They have no regards for people and the deadlines they have to meet. They were very rude and showed no remorse when I called them. They even hung up on me. This is the worst business ever! read more

Awesome for first time driver who is nervous about driving! Took classes from both Andrew and Vincent(mostly Andrew), they are both great instructors, energetic and patient. Flexible with schedule, great price and never late for appointments. Worth every penny! He will explain everything(traffic rules, what and why do you need to check, etc) in details on his whiteboard. Great place to go for traffic school, very cool pleasant staff. Knowledgeable and there to help in any way. I loved how the instructor is interactive, instead of watching videos the whole time. It was moor like a study group with discussion. Awesome! Was even let out a tad early after finishing a test, which we went over. 8 hrs for a total 39 bucks. They even send over your completion straight to the Courts via Internet. Off street parking 2 hr parking on E 18th. All day on 5th street which I suggest. read more

The driving instructor from A US driving school, left the country when my child was to have her driving test after we told him three months in advance. He said no problem and he would make it. Then two weeks before my child's test he told us he was leaving and told me his other instructor would take his place. When the day of the test arrived the other instructor showed up and informed me she was from Swift driving school. I did not choose this driving school. She took my child and another child at the same time for the test. My child was waiting an HOUR and a half at DMV for the other child to finish. I thought I was getting a private lesson. I had to attend traffic school for a speeding ticket which sucked because I wasn't even in a hurry (I just like to drive fast). I chose Swift because they offered a bi-weekly Wednesday class so I wouldn't have waste a whole Saturday. The staff was pleasant. The instructor, Andrew, was very engaging which made participation fun. The fee was only $39 ($40.50 if paying with debit/credit card) and they automatically send notification of completion of the class to the courts/DMV so you won't have to do anything else. Free parking is plentiful as well. read more

Well, this traffic was very good, the instructor was very helpful and answer all the questions in the class, I am not planning to get a ticket again , but i will recomend you this traffic school if you get one. however, i don't know why this school is getting such as bad reviews, so far this school had been one of the best one that i ever did. Best driving and traffic school I went to, they are not expensive at all and offer good quality service! I was the worst driver ever and fearing that I have a baby and refused to drive.. but I had to do what needed to be done.. this place helped me conquer my fears of the dangerous roads and gain my confidence back and made me a professional driver! Vincent is a really good driving teacher! Best thing to do is to not be prideful and listen and relax.. and drive.
