I am writing this review specifically for Christine. My mother had a terrible fall, fractured her hand and now with severe problems post op is Christine's patient. In my youth I worked as a physical therapy assistant, and know how hard working and loving most people who choose this profession are. Christine is a gem. She has done so many things to aid in my mothers progress, she has gone way above and beyond what most would ever do. I really dislike it when a business leaves me no choice but to leave a negative review. First, because I have to write this distasteful review instead of the glowing reviews I prefer and second, because this company put me through such a distasteful experience. This business had less than adequate communication skills and professionalism with me. Shame on Nevada Hand Therapy for not following all the terms of its written contract with TriWest for treating Veterans for clearly its word / integrity is no good. The first issue I had was the receptionist at Nevada Hand Therapy who routinely violated my and other patients there confidential medical privacy on several occasions. The receptionist routinely would discuss my and other patients confidential medical such that it could clearly be heard all over the waiting area. I think her name was Kristina Henderson. The second issue I had with Nevada Hand Therapy is that its word is no good for it violated its contract with TriWest for treating Veterans and it violated Federal law, specifically "Veterans' Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act of 2014" / Public Law: Pub.L. 113-146 signed by President Obama in 2014, where the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides care to Veterans through community providers (health care providers outside the VA) when VA cannot provide the care needed (because U.S. Congress for decades routinely under-funds the VA). Community care for Veterans is based on specific eligibility requirements, availability of VA care, and the needs and circumstances of individual Veterans. VA IS NOT health insurance, and all healthcare providers outside the VA have a written contract with TriWest NOT any Veteran or the VA. All healthcare providers outside the VA have written contract with Tri-West which clearly spells out in great detail what all community care providers outside the VA can and can't so. TriWest has a contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. I am a Veteran the VA referred to Nevada Hand Therapy via the federal Community Care Program. One of this Veterans guidelines for how this Veteran lives life is in this Veterans photos here which is "Do NO Harm. Take NO Sh*T." This Veteran correctly and legally refused to take the illegal and immoral sh*t Nevada Hand Therapy kept trying to pull on this Veteran. Nevada Hand Therapy incorrectly and illegally and immorally insisted this Veteran provide in writing my financial information to them for "their billing purposes." Per Nevada Hand Therapy's contract with Tr-West, Nevada Hand Therapy can NEVER legally directly bill Veterans, or the VA, for anything!!! Here Nevada Hand Therapy is clearly illegally treating Veterans as a profit-center. Nevada Hand Therapy also incorrectly and illegally insisted in writing that this Veteran pay for other issues and agree to it in writing although their contract with Tri-West also clearly prohibits what Nevada Hand Therapy kept repeatedly illegally trying to do with me. This Veteran correctly informed Nevada Hand Therapy with written documentation of support that what they were doing is illegal and this Veteran correctly declined to provide all information relating to billing this Veteran and declined to sign information related to billing this Veteran as it is illegal for all Community Care providers to directly bill Veterans, including but not limited to billing Veterans for any care including but not limited to Urgent Care or to collect from Veterans including but not limited to co-payment directly from Veterans or for Veterans no-shows, or for Veterans lates. Although this Veteran repeatedly kept telling Nevada Hand Therapy what they are doing is illegal, and I had provided them with a copy of their contract with Tri-West which specifically states Nevada Hand Therapy is NOT to do what they were illegally attempting to do with me, Nevada Hand Therapy kept illegally, rudely and greedily insisting otherwise. This Veteran kept all the illegal paperwork Nevada Hand Therapy had illegally, incorrectly and greedily demanded I fill out AND sign. What Nevada Hand Therapy is illegally doing to Veterans sent to them by the VA through VA's contract with Tri-West under the Federal Community Care program is evil and horrifying. It is avarice at its worst. It also appears Nevada Hand Therapy is not only illegally billing Veterans directly for issues NO community care provider can legally bill any Veteran for under Nevada Hand Therapy's contract with Tri-West, but that what Nevada Hand Therapy is doing clearly gives Nevada Hand Therapy the ability to illegally double-bill Veterans AND Tri-West. Veterans are an extraordinarily rare 7% of the population. Here Nevada Hand Therapy illegal actions clearly denies Veterans the opportunity to participate in the American Dream Veterans' sacrifices have made possible for all including everyone who owns or works at Nevada Hand Therapy. read more

Everyone works together well to get the mission done, Christine has been taking good care of my pinky and ring finger since I cut one of each tendon in both. My pinky started contracting really bad due to my lack of transportation but they've been really patient with me! Thank you Christine for everything, I really can't thank you enough. Due to dedication, hard work, plus patience, we've made incredible progress. Lastly, shoutout to Zoey for the best finger massages in the world. After 15 years of putting up severe Dupuytren's Contracture in both hands I had the procedures to release the cords, however because of how long my hands were effected the therapy was no joke! I was able to make appts conveniently even though their schedule was busy. I also have insurance that spends more making the card than reimbursing health costs - their office was more than kind, showing they care more about the necessary continuing therapy than filling their pocketbooks. I am a patient, not an account number. To the Yelper who took the time to write a 20 minute diatribe.... you are aware this is not a forum to cite laws (by number no less! a lot of research went into your tantrum, impressive!), and addendums to laws and all the reasons you were personally wronged, and forced into illegal activity. Here's an idea - exercise the freedom (sorry I can't properly refer to article 'held hostage 3.4') to conduct your therapy elsewhere. My experience (STILL in therapy... my own fault for waiting so long) has been nothing but positive - ok lol therapy HURTS, a lot! I blame the therapist! Oh wait, that's right... I'm an adult! For one quoting such precise case law, I'd be careful about name dropping libelous statements on "I think." That's some specific BS to fall back on a I think. If we are going to think, I think if you walk around with an attitude like this no wonder everything is subpar, there is therapy for you..... just not this kind. Gimme a break, life is full of little injustices. I can't say enough how grateful I am I to have the use of my hands again and I could not have done it without the team at Nevada Hand Therapy. It's unfortunate that two medical professionals collaborate to start a business only to have it destroyed by an office manager operating on entitlement and no care over the unexpected interruption of a patients life. Yes. Sometimes in firmed parents in another state can delay your arrival to your appointment. And for that reason, you cancel me as I drive in. Only you. The person who doesn't care about the standing of the two medical professionals that collaborate to start a business. How unfortunate and uniquely convenient that these two can survive financially with a business model that makes no room and consideration for the need of the patient. "Yes, we must stay on schedule." Our waiting room is empty and the staff are giggling in the back room. But, By the grace of God, we must stay on schedule! So, as a retired professional, I offer you, Christine, this advice. If you want to hire staff that do not represent your value or your biography, and certainly not your business mission statement, then you failed your business and the essence of your worth in the medical field. As for my continued therapy, necessary or not, I have the pleasure of going where I want. But, understand, in business, referrals are the hugest and cheapest marketing. I have a huge base. Christine, we discussed my past public service. In good conscious, I could never refer my friends to anyone less than understanding of a patients unexpected circumstance. It's not about money. Nevada Hand Therapy is AMAZING. I went there after having a surgery on my pinky, worried that I would never get much function back into it. After putting in the work with all of the great staff that work there I have been able to get full function back into my pinky. The two fantastic ladies up front worked wonders fitting me in when it worked for my schedule. Christina and Brenda were always so great and made sure that the schedule of my therapy worked well with my work schedule. I couldn't be anymore grateful!! Once you are taken back to the room where the magic is done, all of the techs took great care of me. They always made sure I was comfortable. They would start me off with heating pads or the warm cornmeal box (which is the bees knees). This really made me feel that I could be more productive with my therapy. I've never had this type of treatment at a therapy clinic before. When it came time to work with the therapists they were ready and focused just on me and what we were about to do which is amazing. Feeling that you are their most important client at the time is so gratifying. Each therapist encouraged me to do my best and ensured me to only do what was comfortable and that we would work on the uncomfortable things when I had more strength. Each visit the therapists would send me home with more exercises and the tools to complete those exercises so that I could continue to strengthen my finger while I was not at the office. I would recommend these wonderful people to any of my family/friends knowing they are going to take the best care of them. Hi All, I want to brag about these ladies. If I could give more than 5 stars I would they deserve way more. I have had 4 surgeries on my hands and they have work wonders giving me back my use of my fingers. They are wonderful people and always try to accommodate my busy schedule. I had some problems with my thumb and went here for a few weeks - I saw Pam mostly, Christina once and interacted with a few other people and they were all nice and cheery. Not only that, they were the first people to be able to answer my questions about what was actually happening physiologically in my hand. I had been dealing with this issue for months! When I was released from PT, I almost wished I was still hurting just so I could come back a couple times a week! They made me feel taken care of.
