I am sooo disappointed in this Orthopedic Company.... Dr. Lilyquist was the Dr. on call the day I fell and broke my hip.. Of course i know nothing at all about what surgery entailed, so you would think they would discuss with you what type of surgery you want.. There were 4 of us on the same floor in the hospital and we all had screws put in, why were not asked if we wanted to wait for a replacement? I do not get that at all.... Those screws he put in were the worst...OUCH! They were popping out of the side of my leg as I walked. Hurt like hell and I used my walker for days... Ridiculous!! I went for a 2 week follow up. and I when I go to Check in , , I mentioned that I had a Cardiology appt. next store in an hour and the lady at the counter at Swift was just awful. She was loud, and had personal stuff on the phone and was loud about it, soo tacky.. Soo unprofessional.,this offense is sooo disorganized.. After I waited an hour and me telling them I had to leave, I went to the desk 10 mins before my next appt. She said that I HAD NEVER BEEN CHECKED IN AT ALL! ARE YOU SERIOUS??? At that same exact moment, I got a call asking me why I was not at my appt., and I missed it, I said, dude, I am in the lobby for the last hour, I did not miss it, your girl forgot to sign me in.. They got me back for a fast beat, then I left the my appt., and was back in an hour, then they saw me.. they felt bad, but still... I went back for my appt., and Dr. Lilyquist had some interns with him we talked about my hip and I asked him, that i felt like I was shorter on my left side. He just brushed it off.... anyways , after that appt., I went back to Great Basin Orthopedics (GBO), where my Dr. said I was way shorter, and sent me to the Hangar Clinic where they made me a left shoe 1" higher as I was 1" shorter on the left side, I AM ALREADY short enough, and that made me feel so disabled, not cool at all, I cried.. Dr. Lilyquist called me after he dare one review and I told him all of this, he just said sometimes that happens. WHATEVER! Glad I am back at GBO! I got a new hip in April and Dr. Winkel from GBO fixed the height issue on the left.... YAY! read more

Dealing with my kids first broken bone. My issues #1 We waited 20 min after our appointment time before being called back to the room #2 When we got back to the room there was still people in the room, the guy told them oh your good to go and put us right in that room with out cleaning it changing the paper etc. #3 The doctor was very rushed not very personable especially with a young child bedside manner is huge. #4 They gave a new brace that is still a little too big and was told if that doesnt work some back and we can make a custom one, again felt it was more important to get us out quickly than to make sure it was done properly and insure we were good to go. #5 I had to wait an additional 6 min after check out for a doctor's note for my child. read more

My wife and I have been going there for 15 years, 3 going on 4 surgeries between us - back, knee, and soon shoulder. Can't recommend them highly enough. I'm still feeling SWIFT out as I take my mom there. So far she's ok with the treatment and likes her doctor. The receptionist though, each time I bring my mom in it seems as though the receptionist is annoyed. It could be RBF as I can have it as well but my mom feels like she's annoying her. Initial appointment didn't take care of all the issues that I went in for but they were able to see me a couple days later. My aches and pains were diagnosed and I got some prescriptions to alleviate the pain/inflammation. They even referred me to their own Physical Therapist. read more

The 2.3 star rating says it all. I received a referral to Swift orthopedic. While I had a newly torn ACL, I went a week trying to set up an appointment and no luck. You get a voicemail when the main desk transfers you to orthopedic referral. I left 3 voicemails, got one call back that i couldn't take. I had a grade 2 sprain on ACL post op nobody told me and still had me running. It caused my knee to have more pain unfortunately. I would recommend anywhere but here. That goes for the sports dome location as well, staff were unprofessional and made the setting awkward about who knew more in the field. read more

I have no issues with the doctors at all. The staff is fine as well. HOWEVER, the billing is an absolute NIGHTMARE. It is obvious that the care givers are aware of this. Swift is a corporation and the care givers are employees and man, if you hate what big medicine has become, you will feel the pain here. I've dealt with many physicians and offices, in fact my father was a surgeon and I used to work in the pharmaceutical industry. Less than mediocre service. I was scheduled for 1700 with a check-in time of 1645. When scheduling the appointment, I emphasized that I work in the North Valleys until 1630. I was told the appointment was at 1700 and to try to check in as close to 1645 as possible. I arrived at 1649 and waited until 1705. Once I provided my information, I was told that I was late for my appointment and that it had been cancelled. There was no courtesy call, and I had already completed all of my pre-checks, yet I was told, "You were late." I was offered the option to reschedule, but the appointment time had already been provided within the timeframe I could make. I did not push for or insist on any exception. Doctor Lilyquist performed surgery on my husband's right hand pinky finger. He was involved in a work accident smashing his knuckle. Doctor Lilyquist was very attentive, knowledgeable, patient, polite and friendly. I definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good doctor. The facility was clean, friendly staff and quick to get us in for appointments. My husband starts physical therapy for the pinky soon so I'll update my review on their PT services. read more

Terrible business. Unless you want to wait for an hour past every appointment to be seen, only to barely be given a second thought by the staff, stay away. Better plan you entire afternoon around what is supposed to be a 30 minute appointment. Maybe stop overbooking or hire more staff if you actually cared about patients instead of lining your wallet. read more

I had surgery done on my Elbow. Dr. Lily quest performed my surgery and I couldn't be happier with how I'm feeling. It's only been a week out so I'll know down the road with the outcome. I have great hand therapists here. The back office setup is a little disjointed but that isn't at the requests of the therapists. I think the space was repurposed as there is an 80" screen in the room. Sadly no tv shows. The quality of care is high and while I have a primary therapist, the whole team is excellent. Lisa Hammargren-Kuykendall Is excellent. She was caring and was able to get me the headache relief that I had been looking for over many YEARS. I appreciate all that. However the management of this practice is unconscionable and unethical. Twice I have had medical needs between appointments, regarding the prescription. BOTH TIMES my multiple attempts to get in touch were completely ignored. In the summer, I had prescription change issues with my insurance. I sent multiple communications to this office over 10 days; no response. Finally I got a text, "Do you still need help? We decided to take a 10-day break." No auto-reply on email, no info about this on outgoing message. Just nothing, while my medical needs were ignored. Most recently my refill was declined and needed confirmation to the insurance company. Over the past week I called and left an urgent message, I texted and I sent email. All completely ignored. If I could give 10 stars to Lisa but 0 stars for this practice, I would. read more

They are terrible at communications and unethical in their treatment of a patient (me).  Although Lisa Hammargren-Kuykendall is amazing, the rest of the support team (notably Christina) is incompetent and uncaring. Swift Institute, what a freeking joke I had an appointment with Shauna, a NP. After being in an exam room, waiting for about 35 minutes, she came into the exam room, asked me to hold my arm as high in front of me as I can. Then she asked me to put my arm as high to my side as possible. She then said, "you need an MRI." She then turned around and walked out of the room. She was in the exam room with me for 2 minutes or less. I waited 2 weeks for them to call me to set up the MRI, when they didn't, I called them. They had no orders for an MRI or even an Xray. They had to contact Shauna and ask her about the MRI, 2 days later they called me back to schedule it, the lady told me Shauna forgot to put the orders in. What a joke. I will never go back to this piss poor place. read more

I broke my wrist a few years ago and dr naira did my surgery. I got a plate and 6-8 screws. He is an amazing surgeon! I have a faint scar and 99% range of motion. Im 64 and expected issues with it due to my age. But absolutely not! No pain or discomfort at all. Its as good if not better than the unbroken wrist. He deserves an award. He is kind compassionate and thoroughly explained everything to me. I felt comfortable and confident with him. He's great! read more

I was a 75y/0 female patient of Swift Institute for 5 years with Trigeminal Neuralgia for 17 years and scoliosis at the Copperfirld Office under Mallory Cushner NP and Dr. Randall Goode's care in Pain Management from Gardnerville, Nevada in Carson City. I understood Dr. Goode was Board Certified in California and Nevada. I am confused to come to find out that he isn't Board Certified in California as advertised. I received excellent care by Dr. Michael Rozak in Interventional Care at the Swift in Sparks, Nevada. He helped with my bilateral knee injections which have given me a few more years before knee replacements are needed. After the appointment at Thanksgiving, I gave Mallory Cushner NP a 1 star Review as asked after each visit. I left in tears after she told me to "stash my Vicodin pain pills away for shortages. Told me to cut back and said that I should have thought about this problem with TGN 17 years ago". I was crushed and in the review I stated that I didn't think she understood TGN. I brought her a homemade Christmas decoration that I do for pain distraction. On my next visit she discharged me from Swift Institute Care for my review. My generous and understanding primary doctor has taken over my care. I shared with him the reason for care now, as he advised me months ago to go with someone with some "common sense", when they tell you to go to the hospital for pain . I was denied a consultation with Dr. Goode and / or another PA. "We don't do that." I went in with a heightened flare up and an ice block to my face and requested " maybe the Doctor's downstairs could evaluate me for injections and that wasn't even addressed. Mallory said " I read your review and you're not happy here, so I am discharging you." She wrote a note to my primary physician stating that I had requested an increase in my pain med. That is not true, I had repeatedly asked her to approve the 2 day allowance for early refills, as all the other practitioners had, because of the weekend, or holidays or shortages lately at the pharmacies lately. The ancillary staff are very kind.. If you are able to get them on the phone, you'll be fortunate. The follow thru is poor, as no professional staff will ever return your call. As a retired nurse, I cannot recommend Swift Institute anymore. I would recommend that Swift Institute hire Physician Assistants to replace Nurse practitioners for pain management. They are cost effective and provide all the good care needed. read more

This place is inept. I have come multiple times. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. From scheduling to the front office staff to the doctors. I even had one of their doctors ask me if he could say he did a procedure when he didn't actually do it so he could get paid for it. This time they called me and scheduled my appointment for today at 8:15am. It was their only available that wasn't weeks out so I took it. Then they called me at 7:42 to let me know that they couldn't see me at the 8:15 after all. I didn't answer or see the call as I was in the bathroom getting ready to leave to the appointment. I get there and the front desk doesn't have any idea who I am or why I'm there or who would've called me to schedule the appointment. I have to tell them what to do to solve the problem of figuring out what has gone wrong. They come back and tell me oh it was Glen who called you. He called you again a half hour ago to let you know we canceled this appointment. You'll have to call him to get a new appointment. I asked who their competitors were and she gave me a few options. Working with the billing department now, they did not submit a pre-cert to my insurance for services. My insurance denied the over the counter brace they provided my son, a brace that I could purchase at any store for under $30, Swift charged me $568. Yes, you read that correct, a fabric brace to use post cast for two weeks. $568, no warning, consults or heads up about the outrageous price. We will see if they will negotiate a reasonable amount, we know they paid under $50 for the product. I paid $100 at roc for a hard covered brace for an ankle so why Swift is the price this high? read more

Please consider adding better signage in your downstairs reception area. I had an appointment with Swift Institute or at least I thought. I get to the building where my GPS brought me to and I come in. The signage downstairs says nothing about Swift. There are other businesses here including Tahoe Fracture. Nothing in Swift's communications with me would lead me to believe that it was called anything other than Swift. So I went outside and over to the other building. No luck. I come back to this one and decide to come up to the second floor to "Tahoe Fracture". There were business cards on the counter that said Swift but everything else says Tahoe Fracture. This is not easy when you can barely walk. I would have said something to the gal checking me in but she had the energy of a turtle and didn't seem friendly at all so that's a no go. read more

I sadly suffer from osteoarthritis in my shoulders as well as fingers on both hands. Dr. Lillyquist, as well as his assistant Alissa, has given me a level of hope. He is EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE in his field of practice, VERY THROUGH in discovering your diagnosis, and ALWAYS displaying a HIGH LEVEL OF PROFESSIONALISM. He NEVER hesitates to listen to your fears and concerns and doesn't cut you off for fear of his next appointments waiting... When the doctor finally came in the room he never apologized for keeping me waiting, and spent less than 1 minute with me to tell me I need another test. Truly frustrating as a patient to have to wait on hold without any indication if you can leave a voicemail or if you're just another number in a phone queue. I work full time, so I don't have all day to stay on hold to make a simple appointment, or to have to call multiple times throughout a day to get through. I've held for over 15 minutes and that is totally unacceptable if your patients can't even speak to a live person to know if anyone is going to help them. It's bad enough that I'm needing to contact THEM to schedule the follow up for my imaging results when it should be a protocol to recall a patient when they receive them. Guess I'll have to wait on hold forever to find out if they even got that far and have them. So far this isn't worth the hassle and I'll likely just switch providers if I can't get a person on the phone, but then my medical records will also likely be lost in the ether. Fun times! read more

I was very pleased with the doctor and his staff I'm 72-year-old woman and I fell off my bathroom counter on the 28th of August and I broke my right wrist and pulled and tour back muscle. That a good bedside manner very friendly funny and made me feel at ease he even put a pink cast on my right arm. Pink is my favorite color. First this is run by lawyers. When you log onto their customer portal, there are countless forms to sign, all legal liabilities that you waive, the website confirmed you are done. Then when you come in, they said the website wasn't working, so same forms to sign in duplicate. Second, the girls in admin don't smile, no Hello, no Good morning, no Sorry about the wait. I was kept waiting 50 minutes in the lobby, then another 10 minutes in the consultation room, after the girl said "it'll be a couple of minutes" Third, consultant came, talked at 100 miles an hour with diagnosis, total spent 6 minutes and a referral for Physiotherapy. At $353 contracted rate, this is very poor quality of customer care and service! read more

First of all it takes an hour and 45 minutes for the operator to connect you to anyone in the office. I've had two surgeons there Dr Lynch and Dr abdinner that were fabulous. They did a great job in my surgeries. But when it came time for me to see pain management he did nothing he tried he did epidurals and he did blocks and he never could hit the spot all I got was a migraine for a week every time. Then I tried calling the office and leave messages with his medical assistant and the person that schedules the procedures and they never ever call me back. I have called for the last three weeks four times a day three times a week and no one ever ever calls me back. This place was great until they merged with swift. I tried to leave a review for swift but the only option was the urgent care. Since tahoe fracture merged with swift orthopedic I have had nothing but problems. they messed up my billing, the scheduling is a disaster, you can't call and get a live person that knows what they are talking about, the online portal doesn't work. I know merges can be taxing but this is really discouraging. My wife also was a former patient at spine nevada (who is also now part of swift) and she is having the same issues. Dr Nair turned out to be the most compassionate and skilled surgeon that my 14 year old could have ever been blessed with! He is almost fully recovered now after his long awaited surgery to repair the damage to his hip after a bad sports injury. (Had to put off due to COVID) I truly believe he is one of the best arthroscopic surgeons that you'll ever find. He takes his time and explains everything very well.
