I've been a patient at Swift for a number of years now. A majority of the staff are fantastic. I have a few issues with what seems like constant turnaround (I've had 4 different physician's), but the overall demeanor and care when I have been switched has worked for me. I was recently rear ended and now have a lien with Swift. I really wanted to focus on an employee within the lien department named, Kyra. She mentioned she was fairly new, however she did the work to allow me to have trigger point injections at the urgent care. I appreciated that she was prompt in finding answers to my questions. She was very friendly too. I'd also like to say that Carla Chong and her assistant Esther were my previous pain management before Carla moved to the Vein Institute. They were both fantastic and I miss them both. Before Carla left she made sure to connect me with a provider who would best suit my needs. That person is Shane Doyle and she's great! So is her medical assistant Josue. I look forward to being their patient for a while and hopefully won't be moved again. Overall I do recommend Swift. Like I mentioned above, most of the staff are fantastic. There are 2-3 employees that I have/had to interact with that are generally unpleasant. While I'm not a huge fan of wellness centers, hospitals, diagnostics and such, I must say the folks at Swift Institute have an amazing "bedside manner" if one were to put it that way. Having some routine work done, checking nerve functionality in my legs and feet, I found that they're really attentive to your needs and explain their procedures and services thoroughly. They took great care to prepare me for the tiny pokes and prods. The team from the front desk to the examining Doctor were courteous and professional. If I had to go a facility for anything along the lines of what I needed that day for nerves or for joint pain, physical therapy and such, it would definitely be with Swift. Thank you all! read more

I am so impressed with the quality of care at Swift. We went in a few weeks ago for my son's injury. They have an urgent case so we were able to be seen immediately. After, we tried following up at our regular doctor but quickly found that we preferred the care at Swift. We needed continued care for my son's injury and even though it wasn't an emergency, we were seen by the same practitioner at the same office again. She has been so amazing, and she even set up physical therapy on the spot for my son to get him started right away. Adam at Swift even stayed late to help us out. We are so impressed and will definitely return to Swift for all of our ortho needs. For something that has taken weeks to just get scheduled and seen at other doctors offices, we were seen a taken care of immediately. Thank you, Swift clinic!! read more

I've been going here with an ongoing hip problem for 4 months, and no diagnosis, no help. What a colossal disappointment this place was. It took 5 weeks to get an injection, 8 weeks to get onto PT. I was passed around and no help. They don't call you back. They obviously need a new office plan. To push people out weeks for x-rays, therapy shots and PT is inexcusable. Don't go here if want want efficient, fast, professional help. They just don't seem to care. If you're willing to wait MONTHS for a diagnosis, you'll only get worse. Go elsewhere. This place is a nightmare. Finally I gave up on this place and I was helped elsewhere in ONE visit. Shame on you SWIFT!!!! read more

I will definitely not be recommending this facility, as it is definitely not trauma friendly. When I was being strapped into the. Mri machine. I was in tears and crying as they put a vice around my neck. For a 30 minute appointment, not once. Did the tech ask if I was doing okay or provide an update? 10 minutes left 5 minutes left. Are you doing okay? Nothing. Just dead silence, as i'm crying in hyperventilating the entire time... after I had to ask for tissues and there was no comment at all... The process to get the appointment took over 3 weeks. I brought all the paperwork myself three weeks prior I inform them my insurance does not need a prior auth... I called every week for updates on the third week. I called again and they said they could schedule the appointment. I was told they would be calling me when it was approved for me to have the appointment... The operator then told me. Let me check the prior auth. And then proceeds to tell me. Oh, you don't need a prior auth... Which means this appointment could have been scheduled three weeks prior for a time sensitive procedure.... There is a breakdown in communication and definitely needs to have a little bit of patient compassion... the procedure was for a open mri, the operator told me I would be put in a cage, which only made me freak out for the two days prior... because of trauma, I cried the entire procedure.... read more

While filling out the pre-screening info online, and taking the time to actually read the documents, I found a statement in the patient agreement that indicated a fee schedule would be provided upon request. Sweet! I can actually see what this is going to cost. Hallelujah! Well, that was a lie. There's a clinic near me so I thought I'd just stop by and pick up the fee info in person. Nope, they can't provide that info at that location and referred me to the billing department. Not a big surprise. The big surprise came during the first few seconds of my call to the billing department at which time the representative stated that she didn't even know what a fee schedule is. So, after a several minute long discussion, the representative told me they cannot provide fee information until after the visit; not even the standard office visit charge. I have no idea if the medical practitioners are as poor as the administration, and am happy to have gotten out prior to getting to the next level of disappointment or even worse, paying for it. So much for transparency in medical billing. read more

Going there just because workers comp sent me here, but staff is rude and racist, was 10 minutes late to my appointment and they denied doing my therapy, after being their patient for almost one year,it's not like it's for free, they have jobs because of the patients , that girl named Ash is the worst with her bad attitude. When you get in side swift sparks it is a great place you are taken care of fast and efficiently. But trying to get back in there is a " JOKE" I had a great Doctor "Shu' who was giving me shots for my back. But when they did not work he had me get a MRI on my lower spine and rt. hip. Showed i had a torn muscle in my rt. hip. So he sent it up to surgical dept. been about a month now and after 10 to 15 phone calls I still have not had any replies. I will start by saying the providers are really great. They spend time to communicate with you and I felt had reasonable recommendations for my back pain. The bad. They are impossible to reach. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment you will never reach anyone and if you leave a message you won't hear back. The patient portal doesn't work for messages or payments apparently. I can't reach the billing department to pay my bill. It's the worst service I've ever had through a medical office in my life. They need to get it together and until they correct their back office issues I wouldn't recommend them. read more

The Sparks facility is lovely and the doctor was great, but none of that matters if you can't contact them for appointments or treatments. I went an entire month calling politely twice a week and never got a call back. I had to drop into the office to get someone to call me. Two different times I heard my doctor order a PT referral for me that never happened. And if an appointment gets cancelled, they will never call you back to reschedule. Spine Nevada/Swift urgent care has the highest level of care and knowledgeable, kind staff of anywhere I've ever been for PT Megan is the overall PT. I've never seen anyone with her level of skill, knowledge and concern. She is "hands on. Chris her PTA is great. He never leaves your side unless you're safely sitting down doing exercises he is "present" and cares about his clients and their recovery. Terrible physical therapy! My leg was pulled so hard that my ankle will never be okay again. My knee already had issues. The problem was my hip, not fixed. I had issues with numbness, now I have severe pain. I understand that they had to go through BC/BS, but I was told that they require 6 weeks of physical therapy before you can receive any treatment, including MRI. read more

Spine Nevada---Dr. McAulliffe and PT Matt Kimber are the best in town. I am an active woman and have taught fitness and yoga for 10 years. About 6 years ago I injured my back. I went to months of physical therapy and had an orthopedist tell me that I was out of luck. A few years later, I went to another orthopedist who told me that same thing and recommended another round of physical therapy. I went to another physical therapy place in Reno and I felt like I was in a patient-mill with no attention or physical manipulation. My hubby encouraged me to get one last opinion and so I visited Dr. McAulliffe. He actually used an ultra-sound at my visit, ordered an MRI and recommended physical therapy. He also recommended 3 different interventions (not surgery). I was skeptical because of my past experiences, but I went to see Spine Nevada PT Matt Kimber at the South Meadows location. The first time I saw Matt, my pain was reduced by 60% and I continue to get good results with only 1 visit per week. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. Matt also discovered an old injury that was affecting my current pain levels. This is the first time in 6 years that I have periods of time without pain and I now have hope that I can live and be active without constant pain. Dr. McAuliffe's office has quickly followed up with my insurance and me to get testing and procedures covered. This is the way medicine and a good business should look. Great job! read more

I have experienced great staff and Doctors. But this is specifically for Carla Cordova PA-C. Dealing with pain issues is so very hard to talk knowledgeably as to what the issues are, but harder yet to have the medical personnel understand what I'm saying. From the first appointment Carla Cordova PA-C understood, talked to me about choices and things to help. She helped in areas where I needed evaluation and extra help. But she also helped in personal area of relaxation and things I'd just like to do. What an amazing person. The areas where she referred me to helped with safety issues like balance and have helped immensely. She carefully looked at the intense swelling in my legs and for the first time in 20 years I received precise tests, then referred me to Dr. Franciosa (wonderful and a true pro) for my vein procedures. Because of her ability to listen carefully and follow through, my legs are almost pain free and much less swelling. Finally after 2 years, an unhealed wound from a surgery began healing. After speaking to Dr. Franciosa and Carla Cordova PA-C I am going this week for a procedure with Dr. Hsu this week that is promising. I've had this chronic neck pain since 1989, and only received short term help. I'm excited that I could go through a day without a headache and be able to turn my neck. These Doctors listened! Something I haven't had in the last 8 years with a Pain Dr. When I mentioned to that Dr. what was going to be done, he said he could have done that. What?? The phone/appointment system is tedious. I'm a new patient and have had a terrible time booking appointments and even getting to the right person to help me. The Spine Nevada phone system sometimes "dumps" you into the Swift's phone system. The people at Swift have been able to route me. I usually don't leave negative comments, but when you are in pain and you are trying to get help from your provider, the extra hassle is not fun. Went to Spine Nevada for physical therapy, the PT's were amazing they should get 5+ stars, however the billing department is the worst. I had met my Out of Pocket by Aprils 21st, not knowing I paid my copays to them every time I went. Let them know middle of May that I was covered at 100%. Asked about the credit I should have, was told when I'm done treating I'll get it back. That was July 25th. There was a problem with an EOB, insurance didn't pay one line. Was told by Jen in billing you'll get refund when it's paid. Told her I wouldn't owe any since I was 100%. Well It's been 6 months since that EOB, it was finally processed 12/5, sent them a copy and guess what, was told by Michelle yesterday it's LAW they receive original. They don't return calls. They act like it's coming our of their own pockets or maybe Christmas bonus They did sent a partial refund in October, I still have not cashed that check. Tried disputing with credit card company was to late. Per insurance they should have reimbursed overpayment when they received the check from them since I was 100% covered. read more

We had a really good experience here and have been to another PT in the area, so had something to compare to. The only downside was that they were a little late on the appointment time. But the PT (Megan) was excellent and was very thorough in diagnosing the issue we came in for. Very clean office, and very professional throughout (although they could class it up a bit by not having Dr. Phil on the TV in the waiting area!). The other nearby place (on McCarran) we had previously been to felt like they were just lining you up and taking your money, but not here. Genuinely felt like they cared and were very competent. Normally they are good with their scheduling but not this time. I had received an automated call reminding me of my appointment and it was correct there were three adults that heard it and can verify this. I go in for my appointment, mind you I had to stop a medication three days prior to get my shots and it's been horrible because my pains been bad anytime I have to stop my medication for my shots. Anyways I have had a horrible year as it is and my cars tranny went out so I don't have a vehicle anymore so I had to borrow a friend car so I could go to my appointment and they ended up telling me my appointments not til later. Now I have to explain and pray my friend doesn't get really mad, change my other appointments around, figure out a ride, I have surgery that day so there's no way I would've scheduled this appointment for the day they have me down for. Nobody called me to reschedule, heck it said it was today on the recording! They don't even do scheduling from their office it goes to South Reno, this is a major f*** up on their end and it didn't seem to matter to this lady. If they were as ill as I am and had this happen they'd understand. It's not easy to find a ride or take a bus with this smoke from a fire outside esp when you have Asthma. I'm just upset but I hope this doesn't happen again because then I might have to find somewhere else to go and I don't want to because it took me FOREVER to get into this office. read more

I have been going to Spine Nevada for 4 years now. (I think) The quality of care I have received from the doctors, Dr. Murphy in particular has been fantastic. Dr. Murphy cares about his patients, is unfailingly pleasant, and is above reproach in following protocol. I have also dealt with Dr. Lynch, who is also tops. What lets down Spine Nevada is the support staff. While they are also cheerful, some have demonstrated time and time again that if their ONLY job was to make boiling water, they would fail about 50% of the time. Timely return of calls (despite the message saying "same day") is non existent. The dispensing of correct information? Frustrating to the point of needing a good primal scream. The scheduling department is the exception to the above. Prompt, and efficient. If quality of care is your concern, I heartily endorse Spine Nevada, however, going in with an open mind is important. ***UPDATE*** MASSIVE kudos to Jacqueline for spending over 3 hours getting me the information I needed. I was very impressed with my first visit here. It has a very professional feel and look as you enter. Staff welcomed me immediately and check in was efficient and fast, actually high tech as I filled out my initial paperwork on a lap top device. I didn't wait long to be put in an exam room and Dr Perry was quick to appear thereafter. I was comfortable, felt welcomed and not rushed for time. I met with the staff, Megan(PT, DPT), Christopher(PTA) and, Nikki(PT Tech) who then set up a therapy program to fit my specific needs. I have never been more impressed with the overall care that they collectively offered. From the very first visit, they provided quality service that lasted throughout the weeks of scheduled therapy. Chris and Nikki showed a deep interest in me as an individual and in turn, made me feel like they knew exactly what was needed to assist me in my recovery. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, knowledge and caring attitude that exists in the physical therapy section of Nevada Spine. On June 30, 2019, I completed a 7 month physical therapy rehab course at the Vista/Prater Spine Nevada location. I was rehabbing a left knee and left hip replacement, as well as left foot numbness. I have prior experience with other rehab facilities for right knee and right hip replacement. Spine Nevada provided EXCELLENT rehabilitation service and my results were substantial and quite satisfying given the severity of my pre-surgery conditions. Megan, Chris, Leti, Omar, and Kelsey (to name a few) are highly trained, skillful, intuitive care givers and rehabilitation specialists. They always applied all their skills in assisting my rehabilitation and I am most grateful to them for their thoughtful efforts, insights, encouragement and kindness. I trust their judgment and will return if needed. The facilities are superb in all respects, as well. I am satisfied that I received excellent care from these extraordinary, professional caregivers.
