I sprained my ankle and went to another urgent care, because Swift was closed. My son had an unrelated appointment at Swift a couple days later, and after finishing his appointment, the doc pointed at my boot and asked what happened. After explaining, she then proceeded to get me in the correct boot (because I was in the wrong one) and better examined my ankle and knee. They went above and beyond and took care of the headache from getting the wrong boot for my injury. They even set up training for the other urgent care so this wouldn't happen to someone else. I am a fairly new patient of Spine NV. Having put up with very sharp muscle spasms in my lower back for over a year, I decided I couldn't take it anymore. I had tried chiropractic, exercise, you name it. I had agonizing back pain in bed and spasms getting up. I was referred to Spine NV by a Dr that I have respect for. After initial xrays and initial consultation, I became a patient of Dr. Glynn. Dr Glynn was very informative and told me the sequence of treatments/procedures that she recommended. Going through the procedures, I kept getting better with each subsequent treatment. I finished with my final procedure and as of now am pain free! I can't say enough good things about Dr Glynn and her assisting staff! They are all very friendly and professional. Thank you Dr Glynn et al. I think you are all fantastic. After having surgery with another doctor, spine Nevada took me on for all my post op care. I see Dr. Schaefer and he is great. Friendly, smart and comforting. He sat and listened to not only all of my concerns but my husbands as well. He has been nothing short of amazing at every appointment. The facility is like a breath of fresh air. It's clean, and absolutely beautiful. Their technology is up to date. The staff is friendly at both locations. I feel that they are all very educated and professional. Horrible! I've been seen by then for almost 3months and all they do is tell me to not do anything and get an X-ray done every month. Now they tell me they won't fill out disability paperwork unless I have a back surgery. But my compression fracture didn't warrant a surgery! Worthless! This place is a joke . I've got multiple injuries from skiing including broken vertebrae and herniated discs . All they did was talk about my damage and prescribe low grade pain relief medication which did bring relief . But now with the new opiate laws they cut me off for legal use off marijuana. Now after getting used to a little pain relief I'm back where I started . We also re-receive controversy bills in which we had to take a lot of time out to get them rectified they will charge you for a full visit even if you cancel because their receptionist doesn't mark down that you called in to cancel the appointment we spent a lot of money here I wouldn't recommend it read more

I have been going to Dr Perry for 4 years now, he has been patient, compassionate, understanding, and caring through everything. He also has a great sense of humor which I really need some days. He has taken my pain seriously and has never treated me differently or badly for needing pain relief. I also go to Carla Cordova for pain management and this woman is a saint. She will sit there and listen to everything and then make a plan with you. I really appreciate this office and all that they have done for me. read more

HORRID. I went there for back pain in 2016, finally went to someone else who took care of my pain. Recently got a referral to them for neck pain, they said it takes 3-4 weeks before referrals can be scheduled. They called and said I could got to Sparks or Reno, I wll live in Carson. Told my doctor to give me a referral with Tahoe Fracture, within a week I got an appointment for the following week, not that is patient service. Stay away from Spine Nevada, they will take you money, keep you coming back and do nothing to help you. Skip their crap and go straight to Tahoe Fracture. read more

Dr. Glynn is amazing!!! I Was referred to her by Candi at Swift after I had sever back pain. When I called to get in to get some relief for my back they got me right in. I got a few injections then was referred to Dr. Glynn. She is just amazing and has the best bed side manner. They got my epidural scheduled with in a week and I am very pleased with her level of care. Never once did she offer me pain meds for my back. Honestly the worst staff I have ever had to deal with. Had I not been referred there from the VA Choice program I never would have went back. They have some of the rudest people working there who never follow up with patients or even call them back. I had spinal surgery with Dr. Lynch back in August of 2017 it failed within a few short months and I am.now in more pain than I ever had been prior to the procedure. They never called to make my appointment for my yearly visit and it's now two.months after that point. Avoid this company like the plague if you have a choice. I got lost to my apt. So I called the office, they helped me all the way to there driveway entrance then said ok see you in a minute. With my worst spine pain ever I get up to the second floor and walk in and when I walked in I raised my hands and said, I made it wahoo. The receptionist looks at me and says oh your late so let's reschedule. WOW! You have me on the phone for 6 minutes helping with direction to get me to the apt. I can't believe how this place does not care about people and the pain they live in everyday. I've been coming here for a while because of back problems, it's usually super inconvenient times, but I have to make it work. I had to take the day off of work unpaid to make a very important appointment, even drag my son along with me. I get there and the very rude receptionist tells me that she called me two days ago because I had called to cancel my appointment and she was confirming that. When I had called it wasn't to cancel it it was to reschedule. She said she called and left a voicemail and both of those are flat out lies, I never received a thing. I continued to get confirmation emails and text messages for that appointment that I needed. And she rudely just told me that she could reschedule me. It's not her problem that I had to take the day off of work, but trying to schedule or reschedule an appointment is an absolute nightmare and it seems like nobody cares when you're inconvenienced. I had to drive 20 minutes just to basically be shrugged away. read more

The best that I can put it, the office staff sucks and deserves a negative rating. In our situation, all of the tests that were asked to be done were completed. The problem, the staff only submitted half of the tests and the insurance company required more information. I can't say enough good things about this clinic. Both visits I have had for my kids, the Dr. & staff have gone above & beyond to take great care of us & follow up. They even scheduled my daughter an appointment with a specialist during Covid 19 because we couldn't get into see anyone due to the virus. Sorry about the bad review but, evidently we have some new Pain Clinics in Reno. They claim to be there for pain management, but, I found that you should only go ther if you WANT MORE PAIN and feel like a old piece of meat. I went there after having some horrible vein surgery done with Vein Nevada. Ended up going to the hospital, had a MRI and exrays only to find that L4 and L5 discs were out in my back pushing a nerve with the most excruciating pain emaginable. For Vein surgery you do not get anything to relax you, nor do you get Novocaine so that you cannot feel the pain. The pain in that procedure caused my back to go out, because I was so tense, because of the pain during that procedure. Then went to Spine Nevada for 2 six inch spirals put into my back to stop the pain. Again NO Novocaine, they just swab you with Linocaine. The pain was unbearable, I cried and screamed. What is the deal, are they INTO GIVING YOU PAIN? So if you want MORE pain, I suggest you go ahead and continue going there. There was no compassion, nothing. I felt like a big piece of meat again, and not like a human, who has been in pain for three months. Next time I will do a better job of due diligence. The Spine Surgeon there was lovely, get a new job elsewhere, you should not be there. I will nerver recommend either Spine Nevada, or Vein Nevada ever. Dr. Burns and Dr. Lynch are the only two people I would trust in that place! All of the others are liars and manipulate drug tests. This includes the office personnel. They leave the samples alone, they do not monitor the protocol for collecting samples. After they said I had tested "dirty" I immediately went to my GP we told them about the "dirty" urine test. I left sample and GUESS WHAT? it came back clean!!! Imagine that? This is after about 2 hours after the "dirty" sample was taken at Spine Nevada. Once they do your surgery and IT DOESN'T WORK, they drop you. They can no longer help you and so you have to go to another doctor. Which by the way I don't have any problems with. read more

Dr. Hsu gave me 4 injections for my back pain on May 18th and all they did was increase my pain. Actually what they did was increase the pain in my legs. They say epidurals can take up to a week to work. Well, it's been 12 days and I still have the pain. read more

Dr Murphy was not bad, but his assistant takes days to return calls, even just to change an appointment. The entire time I was with this doc I had issues getting refills done in a timely manner...expect a week, and no call back if issues come up. I had surgery in 11/2015 and am under their care to this day. Dr Lynch did a spinal fusion on me and gave me excellent care! He is an expert in his field and I trust him wholeheartedly! I had an adverse reaction to medicine after my surgery and ended up in the ICU where he came to see me and held my hand! So compassionate! After my surgery, I was in the care of Ken Schafer PA. I believe the PA stands for "personally awesome".... he is so kind and caring and I am grateful to him for all he has done for me. His MA Leslie IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She goes above and beyond and is always available to answer my phone calls, questions or concerns! She makes me feel like I am part of the family! I hope they know what an asset she is to the practice! Mindy, Catalina and the front office staff are wonderful and always greet me with smiles and are eager to help....thank you! My recovery has been difficult as my surgery was a result of a fall that triggered a birth defect! It's not been easy for me but I know I have the "A Team" behind me! I was recently turned over to Dr Murphy for pain management and am very pleased with my plan of care. His MA, Scott is so kind and caring...I was a bit emotional the day I met him and he was very sweet to me. He gave me his card and told me to call for questions. I had to call later that day and he answered immediately! Wow! That is amazing and unheard of these days! He is a gift and I appreciate him! I was a patient here for about a year and a half and all I can really say is that it was a wasted year and a half. The only thing this " practice " has going for it is the physical therapy department . Thaïs is awesome ! I can only say good and amazing thing about her and her department. The rest of the staff and office lack competence period . If you choose the office be prepared to waste time ,effort , money , and all patients . Also be prepared to repeat yourself constantly and be treated in all honestly like crap for the most part. I understand that Reno is a smaller town and does not have a huge amount of spinal institutes and that's what makes it worse, there's much to choose from so one would hope that they had good options. To the doctors or whoever there might read this , I hope you up your standards care dramatically . Please pay attention to your patients and what they are telling you , don't ask if your pain is tolerable or livable . My husband fell and injured his left shoulder. Yesterday I took him to Swift Urgent Care to have his shoulder evaluated. After he was registered, a brief, efficient process, he was immediately taken to an exam room. Within minutes he was seen by the MA and then taken for X-Rays. Shortly thereafter he was seen by the PA. We spent only an hour there, got a complete diagnosis and a path forward. The PA was awesome and the Staff amazing. I highly recommend Swift Urgent Care for any Orthopaedic issue requiring immediate attention. read more

On 12/16/14 I had lower back surgery @ Renown on Mills. Dr. Lynch did the surgery. I found out 4 days later when my husband had to rush me to the emergency room that I was bleeding internally. I was in a state of shock and could of lost my life; according to the emergency room notes I read later. It took 24 hours to stabilize me before Dr. Lynch could do a 2nd surgery and repair the vein he cut and clean up the hematoma. After being in the hospital 4 days Dr. Lynch came to see me and stated what had happened and stated that during the 2nd surgery one of his tools slipped and punctured my Spinal sac, which he stated he repaired. He never said he was sorry nor took any responsibility to pay. Today I am suffering from nerve pain and numbness from my lower back to my feet due to his errors; per a 2nd opinion from another back surgeon. I spent most of my morning at both the Reno and Sparks offices today. Outside of the Physicians, the rest of what I heard and viewed was very unprofessional. I was in the Reno office and had the pleasure of listening to the two front desk staff discuss makeup. Now I know why the person walking in said he's been calling for two days and nobody returns his call. Then to top it off, while at the Sparks office, I had to listen and watch an employee get reprimanded on the phone while I was standing there. How unprofessional is that. No employee deserves to be crying in front of customers. When things like that should be addressed behind the scenes. read more

I've not had one bad experience going here since 8-20-15 they make me feel like they care and want to help me my insurance makes it difficult because I need the 5,000.00 copay paid before anything but that's not the doctors fault. I've never had to wait long I've never been treated bad either. They make the appointments where I as them to be made. If anyone is having problems and being treated bad then maybe take a look at what your doing or how you act. They can't fix you in a 15 minute appointment. I love Amanda Jones she's always smiling kind and listens to me when or if I have a pain and loos at it and then tells me what it is and how to fix it at home since it's taking forever to reach my copay. read more

Total rip-off, DO NOT GO TO SWIFT URGENT CLINIC. My condition after injury was actually worse, and I was told "that's just the way it is" from the "doctor". I get that, given my age and injury... BUT then the bills came: their fees are so high for urgent care service, and we have really good insurance. I have been to other urgent care, and this place I would question because of their prices; should have gone the extra step and gone to ROC. Make sure and ask up front for quote on fees, etc. The technician had no idea how to set my cast, so the PA actually showed him how (which I am sure they then overcharged me for that as well). They even had the manufacturer of the wrist brace charge me directly, which that apparatus should have been included in their super-high prices. Don't be "SWIFT" and avoid this place until you get a second opinion. They charged me $400 for each ten minute consultation, and over $800 for a wrist cast. Then to top it all off, the wrist brace manufacturer sent me a bill for $150 to cover a simple brace. Typically, those are comped by the provider, especially when the fees are so high. I wish I had never gone to SWIFT and I hope no one else gets ripped off by this place as a result of this review. read more

When he came out to the waiting room, he showed me the surgery through step by step images and explained the process which made me feel knowledgeable of what was done. I just started going here. PA Frampton was very nice as is his office staff. Autumn, my physical therapist is awesome!! She is so knowledgeable and helpful! The PT tech that works with Autumn is very helpful and knowledgeable too! The X-ray techs were very nice (sorry I can't remember your names ladies), and Karen from MRI is a sweetheart. She talks you through the multiple positions and pictures that are necessary to diagnose your problem. I got copies of the imaging studies AND the results of those studies mailed to me, without requesting them! I also got a copy of the H&P mailed to me. It is so nice to have a copy of your medical records without having to jump through hoops! read more

Dr. Murphy is fine but his assistant, Maria, has no compassion for those in pain. She does not return calls and does not fully explain how things work regarding prescription refills or any other office procedures for that matter. When I have finally spoken with her, because I had to keep calling, she was rude. The information she does give you is quick and she expects you to understand government or office guidelines and does not want to answer questions. Because of her lack of work ethics, I am left for four days without pain medication. I would strongly advise you to see if your insurance covers another office with higher ratings. The reception staff is very pleasant and go the extra mile. Thought that they should not be lumped into the bad review. read more

I had no pain and healed fast His assistant is adorable, she is so nice and friendly and made me totally relaxed. Also, Nancy Inman, who I spoke with first is adorable and helpful. Way past time I updated my review of Spine Nevada. After my scoliosis surgery in January 2017, I am very much still a regular here at Spine Nevada. Going thru that big of a surgery (actually two surgeries) it has taken me on a roller coaster of physical pain and up and down emotions. I am still in the healing process and have more recovery to go. I have to say I favor the Sparks location because it's the most convenient for me. I am greeted promptly and love to see familiar faces at my check in. Jacque is very kind and puts me at ease. She is so helpful and her smile curbs my anxiety. It's a lot to go thru and I'm thankful that the staff knows me and is empathetic towards my situation. Gloria at reception is super friendly. Sometimes just the thought of going to yet another dr appt can be trying for me. I can't say enough good things about nurse practitioner, Kimberly Koerner and her medical assistant, Myra. Kimberly is absolutely wonderful. She truly listens to me and I feel like I have more than enough time during my appt to express my concerns and frustrations with this slow healing process. I'm grateful she is my provider. Myra, her assistant is amazing! If I need an appt or a prescription refill she is on it ASAP. Honestly I've never had a medical assistant return my call faster. A lot of the time she is available when I call which is awesome. I also loved my physical therapist, Megan. She is amazing. I really appreciated that I was able to have a private room during my PT sessions because a lot of the times I was pretty emotional. I know I won't be a patient forever at Spine Nevada. That was my goal in having the major spine surgery, but in the meantime I'm grateful that I have a great group of people taking care of me. Thanks so much! read more
