This move had quite a few holes to jump through. Renaldo and Joe had to be at my Aunts house at 8:00am sharp because the facility she was moving to only had a two hour window. The time was restricted to maintain the usual trafficking of the tenants. Not only were Swift Movers there on time, their truck was loaded and on the way by 9:00am. Joe and Reynaldo were far, professional and congenial. By 10:30am I was paying the bill and exchanging handshakes. I totally recommend Swift Moves and would use them again. read more

This was a move from a military base to a house off the installation. In order to get access to the base you cannot of open warrants for your arrest otherwise they can arrest you or deny you access. This was something I mentioned in the quoting process. In this case the company provided three movers. I reminded them several times that if they had anything they could be denied or arrested and I was assured they were good. Needless to say one was not and was denied access. We were down to two movers now which turned a half day or so move to a full day. The two remaining movers started off ok. But seemingly missed placed the contract. Which issues came about later on start and end times. During the move the movers stripped out all the bolts on my brand new king bed set as well as my metal bunk bed. When I realized he was having trouble and looked to see what kind of hex bit he was using. He was using the wrong size with and impact driver, and bam stripped out all the bolts. During the move process they broke a trim piece off my master bed, didn't tell me about it and tried to glue it back on without me knowing. The half assed repair job is pictured below. The movers made the decision to not break down my new farm house dining table or wrap it for that matter, and put a gouge in it. Once we arrived at the new home and all these issues started to compound from it being such a long day, that's when the snarky remarks and unprofessionalism started. The lead guy while still trying to assemble furniture requested I go ahead and pay. With everything that had gone wrong that day, I told him I wasn't paying until I can at least speak to the manager to ensure the damages would be covered. This upset the lead guy and they left. Leaving trash in my yard and also hilariously leaving his tools behind. The manager was friendly and did make it out to my home the next day. He worked very hard to rectify the situation. They sent a repair guy to fix my table, but pressed me to use my furniture warranty for everything else. The time effort and stress from this move ensured I would never use their services again. And I wouldn't recommend them either. read more

Not only was the cost of our move double the price we were quoted... the movers lost and damaged some of our items. We asked them NOT to move these items but our requests were ignored. Just horrible and unprofessional. I had just had Lowes out delivering a new range and watched them drop my new range down the stairs, so for the next appliance move, I had Swift come out. When I made the appointment, I asked specifically if they had and used the shoulder harnesses to move appliances and I was told - yes, so I booked them. Long story short - they came out, 3-4 misfits, no harness, not even using straps - dropped a fridge and damaged it, also scuffed up my painted stair landings and patio quite a good bit and eventually got the owner to credit me $150 for the damaged fridge, which was really not enough, but I just wanted them to go away at that point. Never again will someone touch my appliances without the proper equipment. I have no idea how these incompetents ever got past 1 or 2 stars on Yelp. Yeah, right Jeremy. Perfect service and timing. We purchase a recliner sofa on a Sunday afternoon and we looked around Craigslist and luckily they were able to find some movers to service on the exact same day. They were very nice and accommodating and they got our couch to our house in perfect condition and put it together to our liking. Very nice people to work for and not a bad price if that's good because we don't have a big enough vehicle to move things better a large-capacity. Jeremy is THE MAN! I got a job offer that has me moving in two weeks. That's not a lot of time, especially when Google gives you 40 different movers all 4.5 or higher. But here's what sets them apart. Even though Jeremy quoted a very fair rate, there were two movers that were cheaper. He took time to show me how they underestimated the hour, so that more could be tacked on. He pointed so much out to me that I was completely oblivious to. I never knew how many hidden fees there were in moving. I kid you not he spent over an hour helping me, even if he didn't get my business he didn't care. He cared that I got up there safely and with all my stuff in perfect order. This is why I will continually use Swift moving. Swift movers moved a piano for me last Saturday. The move went well, but I did not have a good understanding of the time the piano would arrive at my home from the home it was picked up from. We expected it to arrive between 12 - 4, as stated on the estimate form, but arrival was closer to 6 PM, with a finish time shortly before 7:00 PM ~ had to cancel our plans for Saturday night. When it came time to pay the bill, it was $185 higher than the estimate. Because it was late and I didn't want to keep the moving team waiting, I paid it, made a follow-up call to Jestin, who is very professional and polite, and asked for a review of my estimate to be done on Monday. I did not receive a call. Monday afternoon I wrote an email to the company and did not hear anything back. Initiated contact on Wednesday morning, received a reply that I would be contacted by the end of the day, but unfortunately I was not. I still do not understand why the estimate was one number and the end payment was almost $200 higher. My request for the estimate review has not been honored, and that is why I cannot submit a 5-star review. I like the company, but I don't like the extra time and money it took to get the job done, with no further communication. I would use this company again, but I would definitely ask more questions next time. read more

Updating my review since I got an email from Yelp saying it had been reported. Please don't make the mistake I made and only read one or two reviews for this company. Actually look through the other multiple 1 star reviews on this company to enable yourself to make a better decision. So, here are the FACTS: 1 - Paid for professional packing by skilled movers, boxes, wrapping, and moving. Received damaged boxes the movers had to tape back together. Nothing was wrapped in a professional manner including furniture. 2 - Numerous items were damaged and broken during our move by the lack of proper handling by the movers. Photos were shared with the owner which equated to a $250 "reimbursement". 3 - Several items of value are missing post-move which total to be worth more than $2K and was reported to the owner. ALL of the missing items were last seen in the same room with, left along with, or in possession of the movers including a firearm that is missing out of the cabinet the movers wrapped knowing it was located inside. The firearm has been reported as stolen to the Pinellas Park police department. Pending further investigation. 4 - The move took twice as long due to the lack of both coordination and skill of workers. 5 - Boxes were just dumped in the middle of our living room during the move with literally no unpacking took place as requested. 6 - The owner has called me and/or texted me on more than one occasion and been very aggressive about either a review, a reported broken item, or other complaints we made post move. 7 - Neither bed was assembled correctly by the movers. Even after asking them to fix the assembly pointing out missing screws/washers laying clearly next to the bed and not used. 8 - Our items were not handled with care during the moving process. Fragile items were not handled with expert care which is what we expected and paid for. 9 - This was a really horrible experience for us in the end and we would not recommend using this company. 10 - We paid for an all-inclusive move by a professional moving company and received subpar services that were not worth the amount of money we spent. read more

Very unhappy with the expensive unprofessional group of gentlemen that helped us pack our house in Tampa and do not recommend at all. I think the most upsetting to me is them truly ruining a large amount of our furniture. I have added photos. I have more Also. End tables scratched and damaged. The guys that came to help us acted as though they have never moved anything in their lives? Out of three guys my husband and I did more work than the movers. My husband (who we made the reservation through) did feel ONE guy did help so we did tip him well because we wanted him to feel appreciated but the other two guys did nothing. It took hours when we got to Arizona it took two hours where Tampa took almost 5. What the most heart breaking part is we went to the owner of Swift Movers before the review and he thought we were crazy for feeling this way! Most places wanted to charge us an insane amount due to the stairs and having a 3 bedroom even though we only wanted them to move the furniture (we moved the boxes and miscellaneous items ourselves) and we ended up paying a quarter of what they quoted. Two movers showed up early. They loaded the truck quickly. So quickly that they did not get everything that needed to be in the truck. One of the men was super nice and very professional (all three stars are for him), the other dude reminded me that they like cash tips before he even worked for ten minutes. Rude af. I'm an adult. I know how moving works. He also stood way too close to me for there being a pandemic and wore no mask. I moved a little over a mile away, and I don't have a huge amount of stuff. For $350, I expect more professionalism and adherence to Tampa and CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Ironically, when I originally asked the owner Jeremy about their pricing, he said they are not the "cheapest", but they focus on "quality". Yeah. First off the people answering the phone were pleasant. Secondly they were very accommodating when I had to reschedule with little notice. They arrived on time. They took very good care of my furniture. We had to go to a second location where, not only did they load up our crates, they took the time to help load boxes into my daughter's truck. They not only did this without asking but seemed genuinely happy to do it. When we got home they unloaded, put the furniture where we wanted and helped set it up. I hired Swift Moves this past July for a local move of a two bedroom apartment (furniture only as I had decided to move my boxed items on my own time). I contacted Jeremy (the owner) about a week or two in advance and he got me booked with ease. He sent me his company's policies via text message within a couple days of that initial phone call and everything was lined up. On the day of the move, promptly at the scheduled time, two very professional college-aged guys arrived with a U-Haul at my apartment and got to work immediately. These young men were efficient and hard working and didn't dilly-dally about. The job took three and a quarter hours, which I believe was on-point with the estimate Jeremy provided during the initial call. My only true disappointment was an unmentioned $100 "travel/insurance charge" that to my recollection was never discussed during my phone conversation with Jeremy, nor was it mentioned in the "policies" text message. When I first tried to schedule my appointment he complained for 10 minutes on how he didn't want to work late in the day because it's hot, so I changed my appointment for the morning. They showed up to my apartment with a uhaul truck, he doesn't even have his own truck. They missed a whole closet and broke things when they delivered to my house. They broke the handle to my bed then broke a piece off of my desk. I labeled everything for them to easily put boxes into the appropriate place. They didn't following the labels and put all the boxes in the wrong room. When I told him about my findings he argued with me on how I was wrong and nothing was his fault. Then he "tried to make it up" by going back to get the closet he missed in the 1st place. All he cared about was the review and rolled his eyes when I was taking. read more

Just relocated from Tampa. These guys helped me pack the truck. Kevin was the lead of the 3 man crew and was FANTASTIC! I truly mean that. Went above and beyond, focused, and did an amazing job. The reason for the 1 star were the other two individuals with him. I'm being charged by the hour, and of the 4 hours they were here, we had TWO 40 minute spans while Kevin was upstairs disassembling that NOTHING was put in the truck. So 80 minutes of the 240, no packing of the truck. I had a leather chair with a leather step and the two guys literally attempted to put on the truck without wrapping. A white chair, same thing. The list goes on. THEN, they started carrying things out to my driveway, and literally just setting it next to the truck, until Kevin finally came down, went off, and they actually started working. Horrible. To add insult, they charge a travel feel of $150 to show up. I can see $50-75, but over $100 is insane! I'm embarrassed I went with them, but Kevin is an asset and should find a better company, or start his own. I got absolutely demolished on this one, but hopefully someone is able to save themselves the frustration, and go with someone else. read more

I employed Swift as a moving company and storage placement a coupe of months ago. All went well till the deliver of our items to our Tarpon Springs address. We uncovered a broken TV, damaged dining room table, dirty sofa, arm chair and abdomen and a number of of broken glasses and antiquities. I've moved and relocated a number of times in my past and had great experiences; so when asked if I wanted to have the insurance coverage increased (at a cost, of course) I didn't hesitate to decline that offer. After weeks of haggling back and fourth on a settlement (and constant dialogue), I received a check for $210 (not even enough to cover the cost of the TV). I've asked Jeremey (owner) to reconsider this offer and even provided what I though would be a fair settlement ($700); but to no avail. In fact he's stop communicating all together. My advice if "cherish" your possessions stay away from Swift Movers! read more

They promise to send an experience crew which was two young men. They said they'd be able to move my King size sleep number bed from second floor. That never happen because they arrived late, the driver had a tantrum because I called him out on it and prceeded to vandalise my bed. Then I got upset and he stormed off. Bruce promised to send another truck and did not. Five hours later I hired another company and paid twice as much. I have not heard from Swift Movers although I have spoken to Kaleb the owner and Bruce who both said Swift movers were to blame and I would hear from corporate. That has not happened. So, please keep scrolling and find another reliable, mature and professional team. They are cheap but is that enough! read more
