Swift Tree helped us with 2 large trees, one of which was a large Alder that had split vertically and was posing a risk to neighbors. They came in with a competitive bid, but won us over with their responsiveness, knowledgeable and professional staff, and low pressure sales. Unfortunately it was pouring rain, but they still managed to get it all done with one effecient visit. I'll be honest, I hope I don't need them again, but if I did need tree work done at least I can avoid all the work if vetting companies and comparing estimates. This is the one. read more

I spent $8K with these folks. They did the job, but poorly, I wouldn't use them again. I previously had five trees removed from my property over the years using A-Z, and it was all just fine. But this latest project was a collaboration with my neighbor, and they wanted to use this Swift company for some reason. The result was not very good and overpriced. These folks aren't all that professional. My advice with working with this team is to ask A LOT of questions about EVERY aspect of the job. For example, if they are bringing in heavy equipment to move the logs, ask them what route they will take and how they are going to mitigate damage - i.e. will they put down plywood or something to keep from tearing up the yard? In my case the guys who came out had maybe two or three sheets to put down, and even that was an afterthought. Why would they not have enough sheets to cover the entire route? This risk was not even mentioned during the bid, and the result of course is they completely tore up the lawn and also damaged my garden area (which wasn't even in the way). Sure, maybe some of that is unavoidable with a big project. But that seems like a pretty obvious thing to discuss during the bid, right? It wasn't, that's how poor their project management and planning operation is. This example wasn't the only thing that went wrong. So my advice again - do not assume anything when working with this team, but ask A LOT of questions about how the job will be accomplished and then make them WRITE IT DOWN, because they aren't going to do it on their own. They will prefer to write down some chicken-scratch bid with minimal detail and charge 20% more than their competition. read more

The short story is, Buck...and his wife Amy...are fantastic. Tree removal is not cheap and I've always felt they were super reasonable for the amount of work done. Buck and his crew are very fast and do great work. Longer...We moved into our house 2 years ago and Buck has been out both years. Last year he removed 6 large fir trees (40+ ft) that were sited poorly and in bad health, as well as doing general maintenance of others and grinding down 5 stumps. This year, he finished removing the last fir looking to fall on our house and a 60ft tall maple that had a bad Verticillium infection, as well a general maintenance and grinding of several stumps. Both years he completed all the work in 2 days. In addition, both years he moved all the wood across to my neighbor (who chops up firewood) cut everything into rounds and helped haul a lot of it. I've been very happy with the quality of the results and his crew. In addition, when a friend was complaining about how expensive the quotes were for work he needed done and how long it would take, I recommended Buck. A short time later he was thanking me, as Buck fit him in quickly and did great work for less than the other quotes he had gotten. Basically...just call Buck and Amy. Buck and his crew are amazing...they arrive on time and do an outstanding job. I have had them out two times now and consider them my go to folks for any and all tree care. Recent job Buck took out three extremely large and tall old maples and were so very very careful with the rest of the yard. Minus the absence of the downed trees and the wonderful clean up you could never tell they had ever been here.
