We have had the best experience at Swim In Zone. Our son has some behavioral and sensory needs and was scared and unsafe in the water initially. Fast forward a year and he is confident, looks forward to his weekly lesson, swims solo and literally won't get out of the pool (Mr Josh has to carry him out!). We take private lessons with Josh Ferraro. As a team, we create goals for our son and really focus on making it fun. Josh is so engaging and it is clear he loves what he does, even when he is working with a more challenging child. The peace of mind I have now with my son being safe in the water is freeing. After many many months we realized our child was not learning anything about actually swimming or advancing in his skill level. There are repetitive activities but no real skills taught. I am so happy with the service we have gotten here. I was not able to fit my kid into a regular class but they worked with me to get enrolled on a schedule that would work for us. I am constantly impressed by the staff at the front desk - friendly and attentive, able to answer all questions and will follow-up with more information if necessary. Their teachers are amazing - their positive/calm/ supportive attitudes, attention to detail and safety exceed expectations! The facility is always clean and well maintained. I am most impressed by their focus on safety. I want my child to love swimming, but most of all I want to do everything that I can to ensure her safety around water. Called to enroll my child in private swim lessons. Person who answered the phone was very enthusiastic explaining their program to me, etc. Mentioned that they just started enrolling for their spring session. She also told me that they can work with any schedule, times are flexible, etc. Before booking I explained that our child is autistic. She is high functioning and verbal, but autistic nonetheless. I wanted to make sure her instructor would be aware, that's all. Once I divulged that information, they literally had NO openings. The conversation went from, "we just started enrolling for spring, we can work with anyone's schedule" to "sorry we have nothing available"---That fast. At first I requested a Monday, she said that day wasn't available so I said, "ok any weekday or weekend will work"..... still "nothing". She told me to call later in the year and "early" because they "book up fast".... yet not 5 minutes before she was telling me how they just began enrolling for spring classes. My family will NEVER set foot in this place and I will be sure to let everyone in the Lehigh Valley know exactly how they operate toward children on the spectrum. I am disgusted in this place. On the bright side, I found my daughter swim lessons elsewhere with an organisation who embraced my daughter's autism with open arms. I NEVER leave reviews anywhere or for anything. I just don't have the time, but I had to for this. It made me sick to my stomach. read more

Wonderful Center! As a former lifeguard instructor, swimming instructor, lifeguard and competitive swimmer for most my life I wanted to make sure my child is well educated in swimming. So I signed him up for lessons at 6 months old. We just finished our first round of lessons and are on our second round of lessons and I am extremely impressed, my little man is loves his swimming lessons and enjoys being under water. The staff at Swim In Zone is great. They are very hands-on and they want to see my son and the other little swimmers learn. They are also extremely proficient in reviewing water safety and setting limits with your children (i.e. do not enter the water until you are invited in). Ms. Penny (the director) is amazing as well. She is very proficient in swimming and teaching how to swim. She has even taught a couple of my son's swimming classes and was such a pleasure and a breath of fresh air. She got down to the nitty-gritty of what is safe and not safe...and I LOVED (I repeat LOVED) the fact that she was point on with Swimmies (I hate that people still use them too, they are not a safety device) and kiddie pools (watch your kids people). The swimming class sizes are great, we are in the parent child class and the smallest class we have been in is 3 parents and 3 children, the largest was 7 parents and 7 children. Price is right too, about $13.50 a lesson. Smaller class size and decent price in comparison to other swimming locales. read more

We love it here! We have our daughter enrolled fall to spring! And only had one issue with a teacher and she is no longer there! The staff is super friendly and completely into the kids! Our daughter went from wearing a life vest in shallow end to having no fear! We are super excited to sign up this fall again! We don't have any complaints! Pricey yes however if you take into consideration teacher salary and upkeep and utilities I won't expect anything less! And it averages out to $20 a lesson which isn't much! It's clean with the occasional wet toilet paper on floor! But nothing over the top gross! We LOVE It! read more

My son learned to swim here years ago. The management keeps the pool and the locker rooms meticulously neat and clean. The warm pool water is wonderful to swim in. The manager, "Coach Dan", is an amazing swim instructor and he has hired an amazing group of swim instructors- swim instruction here is excellent. read more

Been bringing my kids here off and on since they were little but am starting to see changes in this place. Very clean and professional, with rules enforced when it opened. First, they are $$$, catering to the population of stay at home moms who spend their husbands money and the area. Instructors are generally good but have been watered down with many resignations lately and subs all the time, not a good thing for consistency if you want to take young children. Cleanliness has become an issue, two of my children have gotten plantar warts from this place and we have witnessed kids pooping in the shower area. If you can deal with some psychotic moms who stress out upon dressing their kids and dropping their iPhones, it really is a decent place for lessons. Just bring your wallet and for god sake, wear flip flops! read more

My son was petrified of water when he was 3. Wouldn't even get his toes wet. The owner, she talked to him gently, and with very subtle gestures and toys she got him in the water! He's now almost 10 and is an amazing swimmer! I want to say thank you to her for what she did. On her own time! What a loving woman! read more

My daughter who is 8 was always comfy in the pool but lacked the basic skills. Thanks to their different skill level classes, after an evaluation in the water, my daughter started lessons and is slowly gaining a lot more confidence. Love this place. I don't know where my family would be without it. I started my little girl as an afraid 5 year old years ago and now she in on the High School swim team. Swim in Zone had prepared her well with all the strokes and the HS coach says they are beautiful. We are so happy that my daughter loves swimming and might even become a lifeguard in the summer.
