This is a beautiful facility and loved watching our son learn and interact with the instructor. I was worried that our son would not pick up a whole lot since there was so many kids, however the instructors split up the class and spent a good amount of time with each kid. Great program that West Covina offers. I would highly recommend to anyone that is considering. Prior to this swim class I signed our son up elsewhere, and our son did not learn anything and the instructor at the time had zero patience and had terrible social skills. She has a positive but firm demeanor. She is EXTREMELY patient and kind. My daughter went from lookin like a drowning starfish to a strong, controlled swimmer. Granted she still has a way to go but considering shes only had a few lessons I am just extremely impressed with how much she's improved and I feel that's a direct statement on how Vayda teaches. If you were on the fence about trying waterworks I can definitely say that Coach Vayda made this a worthwhile endeavor and if shes still with waterworks next year I may opt to re enroll my daughter for more lessons. Had to go back and forth to get even one make-up class because we were not informed to download their app. I had the biggest headache communicating with her by phone and text. FIND A DIFFERENT SCHOOL…read more Honestly, I'm very disappointed with how Blake Swim School treats its families. Two weeks ago, we showed up for my child's swim lesson only to find out that our instructor, Sebastian, was on vacation. No one notified us ahead of time. We drove all the way from San Gabriel to Monrovia only to discover there was no lesson. That was a complete waste of our time and could have easily been avoided with a simple email, text, or phone call. What frustrated me even more was being told we were just supposed to wait until Sebastian returned from vacation. That shouldn't be the school's decision to make. Families should be given the option to reschedule with another instructor if their regular coach is unavailable. To make matters worse, when I requested to cancel my child's class, I was told they couldn't process such a simple request. The lack of communication and poor customer service is extremely disappointing. I understand that instructors take vacations, but keeping families informed and providing reasonable options is basic customer service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

I purchased 4 lessons package and scheduled my 3 kids lesson back in May. The extra 1 lesson was converted to make up class because I canceled 1 future lesson. A month later i saw the make up lesson was gone, and i was reading the "help" section that I need to pay another class so that the make up credit will be available. In which i did (so now i have 1 make up lesson and 1 paid lesson) I have 3 kids and i want them to have an equal chances to any activity, so i ended up paying 3 extra lessons and scheduled them back to back (at this point i have 1 make up lesson and 4 paid lessons). Next morning, i found out one of the class was cancelled, and i called the customer service. Thankfully she was helpful and she helped me in scheduling my kids lesson around. I wanted to use all of my lessons (paid or make up) so i wont need to worry about this complicated things anymore and will move forward finding other company. When i checked my online account, i noticed some of the classes were marked as make up lesson, and missing one class. I called again, and another rep saying i still have one paid lesson and that make up lesson is way of the company give it for free. How could it be for free when money already taken out from my account? Oh my GOSH. So frustrating! The reason i purchased 4 extra single lessons so that I can save time taking all of them together at the same time frame. Felt that I have to either let one class gone, or purchased more so i can scheduled all of them together again. Its your take, either you want to take in my review or not, but as a single mom with three kids and 2 jobs, dude, i work hard for my money (like anyone else) and for time off work to take them to activities, so I dont appreciate this back and forth confusion and complications. Another cons, as a first timer, we didnt know what to expect and noone greeted us when we arrived. I told my kids to go in 5 min prior to stretch in the water, on the side, so they wouldn't bother others, and that was not allowed. So for more than $29 lesson per 20 min, child should jumped in on the first minute, lesson, and out on the 20th min. The instructors Muna and Christian were good. Don't Waste Your Money…read more As a parent, I had high hopes enrolling my 3-year-old in British Swim School, thinking she'd learn basic water safety and build confidence in the pool. Instead, I spent a significant amount of money watching her sit on the ledge week after week, playing with pool toys and barely participating in any actual swim instruction. My daughter was clearly uncomfortable and scared of the water, which I voiced to multiple instructors over the course of the program. Unfortunately, no one seemed to care or offer any kind of personalized support or strategy to help her overcome that fear. It felt like the staff was going through the motions with no real investment in the kids' progress. If you're a parent of a toddler or young child looking for a swim program that actually teaches safety and swimming skills with patience and structure this is not it. I would strongly recommend exploring other swim schools before committing to British Swim School. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

They had one and they got rid of it to put more equipment upstairs which people hardly even use. Ryan is a great boxing coach and even without a ring he makes the boxing experience worth it but boxing with no boxing ring is definitely a bummer specially when it comes to sparring. I feel like it was a huge mistake to put equipment that people hardly use and taking off the ring which is what people look forward in boxing and the experience of hitting mitts, drills and sparring with coach Ryan. I really hope they bring back the gym because I've seen the other self made gym and they all have a ring.
